If my PVR-9200t and HDR-FOX-T2 support this facility, I have never wanted to use it. All that I want from a PVR is support for a single resume point in each recording, i.e. the point in the recording at which I most-recently stopped viewing it. I would be really surprised if the HDR-2000T did not support this.

Yes the HDR-2000T has got a single resume point for each recording.
To use it either highlight the recording in the media guida and press play, or highlight the recording in the media guide and press OK followed by selecting 'Resume'.

Oddly enough the HDR-2000T can also display bookmarks which have been created on an HDR-FOX T2 and then the recording transferred from the HDR-FOX T2 to the HDR-2000T

Correct.

They do.

The HDR-2000T does support resume.

I have seen it mentioned once or twice but I don't think the majority use bookmarks.

FWIW I've always found bookmarks really useful on my 9200T: to mark the current place so I can go back and re-view an earlier part, or to mark multiple places to look back at later.

Is there any,(much), difference between the HDR2000T and the HDR-FOXT2?

Richer Sounds have the 2000T2 at £170: - http://www.richersounds.com/product/...hdr2000t-500gb

and the FOXT2 at £130 :- http://www.richersounds.com/product/...uma-fox-t2-hdr

As they are both 500GB HD, (the FOXT2 can have 1TB for £170), would the FOXT2 be a better buy saving £40?

All of them are here: http://www.richersounds.com/search/freeview%20hd%20pvr

Even if it was the prices were reversed I would personally go for the HDR-FOX T2 despite the HDR-2000T being already IPTV enabled and probably will have software updates for longer as it is the newer model.

See this link for some of the differencies: http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/what-we-know-so-far.3740/

Additionally the HDR-FOX T2 already can have some custom firmware loaded for adding and tweaking some of the features.

The HDR-2000T has a few extra bugs, but these may be sorted out but future software releases.

OK thanks for that, turns out Richer Sounds only have FOX T2 as clearance in some store, also maybe seconds, returns, refurbs, missing items etc, and the nearest to me is over 30 miles.

After looking at the differences via your link I cansee why you would prefer the FOX T2.
No power on/off switch.
No Bookmarks.
No standby UHF pass through.
No slow play feature, etc.

All in all seems like a step backwards re the 2000T.

A Humax marketing email hinted at reducing the cost compared to a HDR-FOX T2

Dear Humax user,

Having the same functionality as the Freeview HDR-FoxT2 but in a smaller form factor and with the front display removed to reduce cost, the HDR-2000T is the perfect addition to our PVR range, please visit https://humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10115 for further details.”
