...as she thinks she is. That wasn't too good imo. The problem is she's too busy showing off and trying to look sexy that it just doesn't work and certainly didn't tonight. Will Kevin also please tell her to play down on those cheesy grins and expressions when she's dancing. She needs to realise she is NOT the same standards as the professionals.

She's been overpraised and overmarked most weeks imo.

I totally agree Labbie. I'm sure she took it for granted she'd be getting high marks again tonight. I don't also think this has done her any favours. When she was a tv presenter, it was the unknown and mystique that make her sexy Tonight she looked looked desperate and cheap. She loves herself no matter how much she tries to make out she's not a sex symbol.

I completly advocate self-confidence; it's when it borders on arrogance that it becomes ugly.

Actually I'd say that before last week she's arguably been relatively undermarked.

She's got great personality, just not her dance really.

For the bigger picture, her supporters just need to make even more sure they vote for her this week !

And, yes, how dare a non professional smile and look confident

She's got to bin those ridiculous expressions when she dances
Totally false from a person who is in love with herself

She has said all week that she just can't 'get' the dance, so much for her expecting high marks. I think she's really pleased with the marks for a dance about which she had little confidence.

God help confident women in this programme!!

I don't mind them smiling and being confident, I just don't think she is as good as her marks have been.

Indeed. Well, that's certainly not what you are seeing with Susanna.

Arrogance ??

I think she was grateful for her marks and I'll certainly be sending all of my votes her way tonight. This just wasn't her dance and she doesn't deserve to leave just because the Cha-Cha didn't suit her, we've seen that she's capable of much better. And she is not arrogant, she's confident. What's wrong with being confident? I wish I was.

And I think she's been just as good as her marks have been, personal opinion, everyone's got one.

She needs to realise she is NOT the same standards as the professionals.
But that is the standard and the style they are encouraged to aspire to / emulate. If she hadn't (over)done the facial expressions, the judges would have criticised her. She's not an actress, the facial expressions were too much but - for most of the competitors - it's a damned if they don't tell the story and damned (by some) if they do. Look at the criticism Louis received last year and, to some extent, detached Sophie is receiving this year.

Agree the over phrased face is border line gurning... not good .
Yep. As above.

Absolutely. Women who show confidence in front of the camera (which is her day job) are always criticised on this show over actresses - who are usually only confident when the words are written for them and their actions are directed.

I don't think Susanna's dance tonight was great but few slebs excel at every dance during Strictly.

I see the Susanna fans don't like what I've said. Sorry, it's my opinion that over confidence is not attractive. From when she walked down the stairs when the celebs were introduced, she was loving herself. I can't believe you cannot see the distinct difference between being confident and blatantly letting the world know you love yourself. See Rachel Stevens when she was appearing for a total contrast and she WAS good.

Yep, by gawd, she should behave and look as if she's reading the news on the Breakfast sofa, rather than entering into the full spirit of the show and trying to still project confidence in a dance she wasn't too confident about performing !

She may not be the best technically, but boy does she give it a full go week after week !

Iveta is confident, but it's the most attractive type, inner.

I thought she was good, she was pulling a lot of funny faces though. Scores about right.

The dance was messy and too focused on her desperation. Rachel Stevens was virtually forced to put sexiness into her dances, Susanna thrusts them. her Paso last week and Waltz the week before were excellent. I still think she expected the good marks to continue regardless. Oh and one other thing, that Kevin thing she shouts is getting on my nerves. I know that's not her fault but it's just plain daft.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion... we all are - but I wouldn't describe myself as a Susanna fan - I don't watch anything she is on. But I do think that one person's perception of arrogance is another person's perception of simple confidence in front of a camera.

I just don't understand this comment BIB, when she's said all week she can't 'get' the dance.

What a nasty thread. Comment on her dancing but not what you think she feels.

that thin line Normandie dividing the two will always need to be balanced. I consider myself confident but not to the extent where my body language over does it. I think Susanna knows she is loved by men and good for her but her attempt at sublety at times doesn't accord with how she portrays herself. If she thinks she's a sex symbol I'd rather she acknowledge it and laught it off. I just see her as being so in love with herself. Whereas as once I thought Ola was like that, I'd changed my mind now, particularly after seeing madam tonight.

Yes, and other people are disagreeing with it.
