I just don't understand this comment BIB, when she's said all week she can't 'get' the dance.
They all say that virtually every week! Bit like when she said she doesn't think she's a sex symbol perhaps? Smoke and mirrors

She has said all week that she just can't 'get' the dance, so much for her expecting high marks. I think she's really pleased with the marks for a dance about which she had little confidence.

God help confident women in this programme!!
All the women on Strictly have confidence, but have at least have some humility and decorum.

Susannah is "full of herself " = not to be confused with confidence.

If you cannot see through her then its not my problem.

I see the Susanna fans don't like what I've said. Sorry, it's my opinion that over confidence is not attractive. From when she walked down the stairs when the celebs were introduced, she was loving herself. I can't believe you cannot see the distinct difference between being confident and blatantly letting the world know you love yourself. See Rachel Stevens when she was appearing for a total contrast and she WAS good.
Im with you.

Her personality is very transparent. Attention seeking, yet pretending not to want it

for what its worth maybe some others could try this.

If you say " Gullible " slowly enough

it sounds like

" ORANGES "

Iveta is confident, but it's the most attractive type, inner.
In other words, real and not painted on.

I don't mind Susanna, even if her dancing is a bit mediocre at times. She was gurning tonight and it made the dance difficult to watch.

Tonight was the first time she actually struggled with her dance. She didn't get enough wiggle cos her knees were bent. But as always she smiled all the way through and enjoyed herself 100%. She's perfect for this show.

I believe but could be wrong that Fiona said this week that Susanna wanted to win the most. One thing is for sure she sure knows where to stand to get the most Camera coverage.

She comes across as a nice, genuine lady to me as well. Some nasty posts on here tonight.

She's very popular I think and she's not too bad. She sells a dance which definitely helps. I reckon we'll be seeing her in the final if not actually lifting the glitter ball.

I thought she let herself down tonight and the choreography was awful.

It was always only about Kevin anyway.

He's the star, I always end up watching him.

Kevin has certainly made his mark on his first series of SCD. He is a wonderful dancer and has a great personality. As for Susanna, she's not as good as she thinks she is but
others aren't either - or at least they're not as good as the judges think they are. Susanna is good entertainment value though.

How did she let herself down? She struggled with a dance, did her best & accepted her marks with good grace, how is that letting herself down?

Every one of them (except perhaps Natalie) have all had a bad week, but seemingly Susanna is not allowed one.

I think most of them had a bad week this week, apart from Natalie and for once the judges marked accordingly.

I agree with you Jan. She seemed happy with the marks, since she knew it was not her dance.

I find cha cha the most difficult latin dance to do (it just doesn"t suit certain people). But if you are going to dance it, you have to dance it confidently, irrespective of any technical shortcomings. So, she may have struggled with it technically, but she made the best of it.

Couldn't agree more. She did her best to sell a dance she was struggling with all week.

I like her.

I completly advocate self-confidence; it's when it borders on arrogance that it becomes ugly.
What has she said or done to demonstrate arrogance? People see what they want to see I'm afraid.

Whatever, shocking behavior, wanting to win

I had no particular opinion about her before, just seeing her sometimes on the Breakfast show and her making no particular impression on me. I also don't generally particularly take to ungenuine over enthusiastic folk.

But I ( and I think many others ) have just genuinely loved how Susanna has gone about this show, giving it her all. I very much look forward to her appearance every week.

Some folk clearly disagree, c'est la vie. But, please, don't accuse us of being gullible, we just generally know who and what we like.

Embarrassing to watch, stiff, mum dancing, trying too hard - the only saving grace was she was on first and over with first. I think she is believing the hype and the betting Awful!

The other females looked classy - Susannah trying to look sexy and show off just looked sad and pathetic.

Where it borders is all subjective.

All I can say is your easily embarrassed! Tonight was not her best but she knew that and tried anyway. Apparently if you try hard you are desperate on here. What has she said or done to make you think she is believing the hype or the betting? How does that equate with the dance not being her best? That argument doesn't stand up. If you don't like her then fine but don't accuse of things you can't possibly know.

Indeed. This kind of unqualified projection onto others, based on nothing but their own prejudices, is very ugly to see. Sadly, it's often done to women, by women.

I can't think of one thing she has done that could be construed as arrogant. All of them are being very PR friendly and not there 'true selfs'. It's a popularity contest, and everybody is playing for votes.

She is no more 'fake' than any of the others there... all smiling for the camera, saying their scripted lines and being as uncontroversial as possible.

This isn't by any means her first poor dance - the others have been hidden amidst the consistent overmarking. It is the first time the judges have woke up to the idea that they can actually criticise one of her dances. Better late than never.
