And that's another phone for Susannah from me on Saturday ...

You really don't know when to stop, do you?

But I love how people try to speak for others and misinterpret what they say rather than listen to what they actually DO say. (Not necessarily you; yours was simply the post I was responding to)

It fits some people's agendas, seemingly.

Me? i just enjoy SCD for what it is. An entertainment show with celebrities learning to dance. I don't feel the need to pick apart every nuance of what someone says to make it fit with my own personal feelings and I certainly don't feel the need to basically libel said celebrities as people on this board do by claiming they are this, that or the other.

I have better things to do. Plus I was well-brought up.

Sorry, did that sound patronising? Oh well. ”

Sorry, I made a typing error, I should have checked my post. I was trying to say that Karen would never call anyone's dance awful so really I agreed with you.

I didn't like it at all but I would never call it awful. It just showed me that she isn't winning potential.

Because she didn't nail a dance and have perfect technique?

Newsflash: the vast majority of the voting public don't give two hoots about technique. They vote for the contestant they like.

I did wonder! Your post certainly had me confused!

These pesky keyboards ... inserting the wrong letters ...

As fior 'winning potential' - well, to be honest, any one of them could win it, as not one of them is perfection yet and she has done some wonderful dances as has Natalie, as has Abby, as has Ashley and Patrick. But every one of them has also had a dance which didn't suit them - which was hers on Saturday.

I love them all - I love Sophie, but I wish she could repeat her first week splendiferous dance!

Yes, I agree with you but it is just my opinon. I vote for the best dancer not the person I like but that's just me.

I expect Sophie to win because she is the publics' favourite even before SCD.

I like your name by the way, it takes me back.

I think Susanna has a very good chance of winning because most people do like her and she throws herself into the dancing. I started off by really liking Sophie's dancing but as the weeks have gone by, I am starting to simply get fed up with being disappointed. Last week was a poor week for everyone, but for, Susanna and Sophie it really was the worst. Susanna because she had the one dance that she really couldn't get and Sophie did not do well, IMO anyway. Sophie's major flaws were exposed in the rumba. Her inability to connect and emote through the dance. Karen picked up on that as well as her critique of Susanna's failures..

The majority of good contestants have a ''bad'' dance along the way.
I think Susanna will definately make the final & I won't be at all surprised if she wins.

I agree with what you say but I still think either one of them could win. My favourite is Natalie but I cannot see her winning. I think she has danced consistently well every week but I doubt the public will vote for her because of the backlash against her.

I agree, Susanna will make the final and could possibly win. I just don't think she has been good enough overall to win, just my opinion.

Personally I don't think any of them are (Natalie apart) so it's all to play for really.

I don't understand the so-called backlash. I think for the vast majority of the Great British Public they will either take to her or not. Last year I really could never warm to Louis Smith, for much the same reasons people keep pointing out about Natalie. I thought his gymnastic experience gave him an unfair advantage. Of course the truth is that all the celebrities use whatever skills they have acquired in their dancing. Natalie had some training years ago, she didn't really forget it it and she uses it. Susanna uses her ability to connect with people, and she really has that ability. But it's anyone's guess who is going to win at this stage. I'll go further, I think it's really up to the last dance for a lot of people. The showdance all to often is the clincher, it has been in a good few of the series. I thought Colin Jackson couldn't lose, boy was I wrong.

Natalie hasn't had a WOW dance yet. I agree she's consistently good but she's not been outstanding.

This is my feeling. Maybe she'll peak at the right time. She still has the best chance overall in my opinion simply because she is certain to make the final as the judges will never put her out in a DO. Any one of the others could go out to her if she or they have one poor dance in the latter stages of the contest. I really have no feel for who is winning the public vote at the moment or if it is varying week by week.

But none of them have been outstanding. I believe Natalie could have had a couple of WOW dances but the music ruined them. She is also not fully fit to be fair. I think that much is obvious.

Sophie has had one WOW dance but I haven't seen one from Susanna or any of the others to be honest.

This is where we disagree - I think Susanna's waltz and paso were both 'wow' dances. Both stirring, well sold performances I felt caught up with. Sophie's Charlston and Patrick's AS both the same. But no one is consistently charismatic.

Parts of this discussion remind me of Chris Hollins' win - in my mind it was a combination of pro chemistry, standing ovulation vote and one memorable routine which was enough for him to win.

It was a bit more complicated than that since he was never in the dance off despite low - mid range marks from the judges till the very end of the comp. That took more than one dance! And one would have expected the standing 'ovulation' vote (if such a thing exists as opposed to men voting for Ola's catsuit) to have gone to the younger, handsomer, good dancer (Ricky Whittle!)

BIB LOL

Must've been a lot of women desperate to get pregnant in that particular audience!

(I think you meant 'ovation', by the way! )

I thought Susanna's Paso was a WOW dance.
