I loved it and agree with Brendan I thought it was the best dance this evening <3

General consensus undermarked and underpraised ao much positive in that and to say ots not how the judges wanted the routine?? Brendan knew Sophie wouldn't suit a massivley rumba, so he did an amazing routine, to reflect his partners strengths she did a hard dance really well l, Abby or Natalie did that would be 9s so disheartening and loosing so much respect foe the show and judges

I think her husband has issues with her dancing in a raunchy way and Brendan has taken account of that. The rhumba is my least favourite dance because of all the writhing on the spot that happens, but I thought this was more romantic than sexy, and all the more pleasant for that.

I really wanted to like it but again I felt she came across as somewhat aloof. I know she can do better, and I agree with the judges each week to be honest, it's like her performance is a dress rehearsal

And such a nice change of pace for a rumba, can't belive the judges gave that but massive support for Sophie and Brendan around hoping people voted

I thought it was an excellent rumba . Don't agree with the judges comments .

1/ Brendan shut up
2/ Sophie seems a lovely person
3/ She's too shy to engage properly emotionally ( because of her husband?)
4/ She's too jerky.
5/ She won't win, 100% guaranteed.

I agree with the judges (for once) very pretty but not a proper rumba. Brendan is seriously irritating this series with his gushing etc.

Beautiful, classy and I totally agree with Brendan this time. Fed up with the constant demands for "filth" when it's not indicated.

Best dance of the night

Bit unfair to suggest there was no hip action. There was. There just wasn't enough.

But I was drawn into this Rhumba as soon as the music started and didn't want it to end. I felt the intimacy and thought Sophie created some beautiful lines and shapes.

Sophie's got her own unique style - it might not be everybody's cup of tea - but I find it utterly captivating and wouldn't change a thing about her, or that Rhumba (apart from a bit more hip!)

It was 'lovely' and that was the problem. Sophie had no real connection to the dance or to Brenda(n). It was a Rumba one's husband would approve of and that isn't a good thing. I thought the judges had it spot on. I can understand Brenda's frustration though as they rarely have a good word to say about Sophie even though she isn't appreciably worse than Ashley, Patrick, Abbey or Susanna.

I thought it was the best dance of the night.

The judges have been very harsh with Sophie this series.

She looked lovely but the dance was very average - quite boring. All the couples were criticised tonight only Brendan showrd his annoyance

I agree with this, I'd take Sophies understated dancing rather than someone making bizzare faces and over acting the dance any day.

Well done Brendan, he played to her strengths and got knocked back for it. It was'nt the best dance in the world but they did do a good job. It's clear to me that the judges don't like them.

To be fair, Sophie could walk out on the floor and take a giant dump and you would say it was joyous expression of dance.

Your bias aside, I do think she is held to a higher standard than a lot of the other dances. Her Rhumba lacked a little intimacy but it was *lightyears* ahead of Mark and Ben and her comments weren't any nicer than theirs.

Maybe they LOVE Sophie and are jostling the GBP up to vote for her until week 10 and she explodes with top dance after top dance, that seem to happen every year. Maybe it's Sophie!

That was uncalled for comment about my opinion, and slightly crude

I agree and I think Brendon should be quite honestly "Seen and not Heard". He is just like last year with Victoria comes across as desperate really annoying .

Not very nice but the sentiment is spot on. Sophie just seems to be so remote from the dance...and from Brendan. It's like one of the judges said, Brendan's choreography is good but Sophie performs it in a somewhat mechanical manner. During the Argentine Tango the chair showed more emotion.
To Brendan's fans, it's not Brendan's skill at dance or choreography that's missing, it's Sophie's connection. I think she can dance and move well, but she is cold in 90% of her dances. she's not just not emoting and it's a puzzle as to why. It's a shame. I want to like her dancing as much as I like her, but she isn't delivering.

Well said.

For some reason, the judges allowed Sophie to have her own style for the Charleston, but not since.
