it was the best dance of the night, very beautiful and restrained, very touching and felt like a very genuine connection between them. spoiled only when they both opened their mouths...

Just wanted to say it was an amazing routine and beautifully danced she had a lot more control technical aspects, balance, core, brushing past, and judges missed it all, the rumba is not about sex its about intimacy, connection...just as someone else said they allready pre marked Sophie..
Well said Brendan ![]() I agree entirely. It was sensual and emotive, not raunchy thank goodness. |

Loving the Sophie and Brendan vibe
hope they realise we all loved it even though judges are apparently blinded by bias

Sophie has acheived what I thought was impossible; made me enjoy the 2 dances I usually hate (Charleston and rumba).
I loved how she and Brendan danced tonight and she looked so beautiful. I loved her dress and hair. |

Well said.
For some reason, the judges allowed Sophie to have her own style for the Charleston, but not since.

I think the bias sits in another quarter to be truthful, but to each their own as the saying goes. I fear poor Sophie will be going soon if she doesn't start to connect with her audience.
I've never seen the sense in blind worship myself. I always think if you are a true fan it's better to let the object of your affection know when something is not working. That way they can try and fix it. Blind worship is even worse when you make it your mission to destroy the people you see as threats. Especially when it seems counter intuitive to Sophie's personality. She is so laid back and cool, I imagine she just enjoys it week to week and genuinely roots her fellow celebrities on. I feel her zealots on DS could follow her shining example.... |

I think maybe we are seeing a real person not a persona with Sophie, too many of the others are fake Sophie is herself plain and simple

Aside from the terrifyingly bad VTs, I don't think any of the remaining celebs are really being disingenuous, they are too bland to be hiding anything. Maybe Susannah...sometimes I get flashes that she could be pretty terrifying in the wrong circumstances...

To be fair, Sophie could walk out on the floor and take a giant dump and you would say it was joyous expression of dance.
Your bias aside, I do think she is held to a higher standard than a lot of the other dances. Her Rhumba lacked a little intimacy but it was *lightyears* ahead of Mark and Ben and her comments weren't any nicer than theirs. Maybe they LOVE Sophie and are jostling the GBP up to vote for her until week 10 and she explodes with top dance after top dance, that seem to happen every year. Maybe it's Sophie! Quote:
hahahahahahaha!!!!! VERY funny comment bout sophie taking a dump in the middle of the dance floor and it been said as a joyous expression of dance!!

It was a beautiful dance. It really does seem as if the judges are refusing to see how good Sophie is and this week this showed more than ever before.
What the hell does she have to do to get fair marks? Her AT was amazing and last week's quick step was by the far the best one and still no 10s. Tonight was the same a lovely romantic rumba! They got most of my votes tonight!

Wow there's some 'confident' newbies here, 49 posts between them.
I think someone may be wearing multi coloured socks. ![]() I suppose it was somewhat crude but there is something about blind fanaticism that really curdles my milk, especially when it results in smear campaigns. I am pretty delighted to be able to chat Strictly with people though! Noone I know watches it. |

Haha I'm not familiar with DS initiation rights, so apologies if I offended anyone!

I completely agree, I have loved all their dances and don't think Sophie is getting the recognition she deserves, Brendan obviously agrees!
