I didn't feel it was a "tantrum". I thought he respectfully engaged in a dialogue with the judges!!

They always are. I look forward to them every year. Just like the first time I hear 'Fairytake of New York' on the radio each year, it means Christmas is almost here

I don't think he had a tantrum just speaking his mind and defending Sophie

yes, lol

You might love Brendan, but he need to button it,

His opinion, frankly, doesn't matter at this stage.

He's like a spoilt child and I actually quite like him, until he does these silly protests.

I think Sophie need a vodka or two, or something to loosen up a bit.

I quite like him speaking up. He is after all a professional dancer, so he does know what he's talking about.

There is no role in Strictly for the pros to " speak up"
I'm not sure they are even microphoned as sometimes you can't even hear them properly on the floor.

Unless they want to comment on It takes two.

It's all a cunning ploy. Sophie's cool and detached, and the judges keep dinging them for it.

Solution?

Be as annoying as possible. Mutter resentfully when the judges talk, give rambling stump speeches at every opportunity, go smoke behind the bike sheds, ask if you can copy her homework five minutes before the show starts...everything guaranteed to nark Miss Manners Ibiza 2000.

That'll get the temper stirring, believe you me. He's going to get two words into a "THESE GIRLS, THEY WORK BLADDY HAAHD" speech next week, before she bashes him into a coma with a stiletto, bellowing like an angry Mancunian docker the whole time. Passion unveiled, 10s all round and Ian Waite's tall enough to stand in no bother.

OP your argument would be more convincing if you spelled his name right.

When Brendan throws a tantrum he really goes for it. That was no tantrum.

Sophies husband made a comment in one of the earlier rounds which indicated he was a teeny weeny bit jealous.

She's probably holding back because of this.

Brendan did not have a tantrum he spoke his mind it was his routine and that is how he wanted it dances because itnwasnt raunchy enough for judges it wasn't made for them... Fgs no matter what Sophie does they pick her to shreads that was her best Latin so far and got little.positive reaction

The OP is using sarcasm- implying he's behaving like an over-emotional woman.

It was a well needed tantrum. They do seem to be a bit biased towards certain people. *cough Abbey*.

I'm not normally keen on Brendan's speechifying, but this time I thought his point was right (although he could have cut it down a bit).

That was hardly a tantrum! Anyway, I was on Brendan's side... the judges just didn't appreciate what he was trying to do, which actually worked well. He put his own creative spin on the dance and tailored it to suit Sophie, which I thought was clever and deserved praise, not insults!

Blimey, and to think people are always complaining about others needing to toughen up on here.

For a professional dancer it must be beyond aggravating when you've spent the entire week rehearsing a dance and the judges are as rude as they were to Sophie and Brendan tonight. Especially when Brendan knew how well she'd performed. I thought It was a perfectly human response. I would've throttled the judges!
