This week undermarking...
...after last week's glut of overmarking. The standard is not noticeably worse than last week.

More realistic marking I would say. There was still quite a bit of overmarking - Ben, Susanna, Mark etc

It's no good them overmarking then saying we're down to the nitty gritty in the last four weeks. I was underwhelmed tonight and still think Mark is being ridiculously overmarked

I thought the marking was bizarre tonight - I seemed to be watching different dances to the judges.

The issue was really before, culminating in the judges seeming to get a bit carried away by the Blackpool weekend.
Had to judge more critically or it would get a bit silly. |

Yes the judges were overmarking and overmarking for so long and tonight finally the correct scores came out which it should have been week on week. Only overmarking was Darcey's 8 for Mark. Otherwise I felt content for once with the marking which was odd!

I think the marking has been well over the top each week really. Tonight's was about right I am glad the judges are getting down to the nitty gritty's.
Nearly all of the dances were really mediocre tonight. |

The marking is always weird at this time in the competition because they want to keep the unpopular dancers safe. They are often hard on the popular dancers because the public will save them. Under marking often encourages the public to vote for a celeb. Over marking has the opposite effect. Tied scores can create a shock result. That adds spice to the competition. Remember the production team want certain celebs in the final and they probably know already who they want to win but they have to make sure that celeb has enough votes to win without the help of the judges' scores.

All couples overmarked yet again imo.
I was left bored tonight in all honesty. |
