Week 9 - 5 Thoughts
1) Why has it taken 9 weeks for the judges to get 'Strict'? It made for a such better show with no ridiculous scoring and no over gushing.
2) Sophie was under marked and she looked fed up. I agreed with Brendan's point that it should of been appreciated as an alternative style of Rumba. 3) Lots of desperation in the VTs with Abby's Nan, Mark's Wife and Natalie visiting a school. 4) Next time I learn the Waltz, I'll be sure to go diving with sharks to help me with it. 5) Was worried that with Ben's comments that he was going to be over marked again so it's a surprise that he's at the bottom. |

1 totally underwhelmed by tonight's show
2 there were mistakes in Natalie's routine it didn't warrant a 10 or a 9 from Craig 3 Ashley is the best male dancer in the competition not Patrick 4 I'm sick of waiting for Ben to impress me 5 I thought Abbey deserved at least 1 9 for that paso. Aljaz comes up with the most innovative choreography he's a great addition to the shown |

Right!
What on earth were the judges watching tonight? The dancing was so much better than last week, virtually across the board! 1. Sophie. That was a flawless rumba. Incredibly beautiful, so much poise and grace, difficult moves made to look effortless. Never mind if it wasn't raunchy, it was still a love story, maybe a demure and tender one, but the feeling was there. Should've been a ten. 2. Tess looked very beautiful in a her Greek Goddess dress. 3. Flippin' eck! I thought I just saw Ben Cohen dancing! Best dance yet, and yet, worst comments. What's going on?? 4. Natalie and Artem's dance - perfect. Natalie and Artem's music - horrendous. For the second week running! Pull yourself together, Artem! Still should've got higher marks, though. You can't fault Natalie, she's phenomenal! 5. Anya was the prettiest pro tonight, the fairy on the Christmas tree if ever I saw one! |

1. Bruce was worse than usual - and that's saying something.
2. Ben's dance was cringeworthy. 3. Music choice ruined Natalie and Abbey's dances. 4. Sophie's dance was beautiful. 5. Not an enjoyable show. |

1. Dr Dr, there's an old codger here who needs seeing to.
2. Sophie's Rumba was beautiful. 3. Too much 'talking back' to the judges. 4. Ben can lift, why the surprise. 5. Music was dreadful. |

1. I have a girl crush on Anya, she was magnificent tonight
2. Music destroyed Natalie/Artem's paso, didn't suit 3. Enjoyed Abbey/Aljaz's paso, like him, he can stay (don't fancy him BTW) 4. Sophie, much as I like her, looked uncomfortable during that rhumba 5. Mark is a lovely, lovely, lovely man, and Iveta's a keeper as well |

1. Sort the music out! Let's have songs that suit the dances
2. Let the celebrities be themselves - stop writing "scripts" for them to follow 3. Have some way of ensuring that a certain set of moves/steps are required in a specific dance for better comparisons 4. Superglue the steadycam operator's shoes to the edge of the dance floor 5. Let each judge have their say without others butting in |

Underwhelmed with all the dances tonight, though Marks made me smile.
The music for Natalie and Artems dance was dire. I'm all for modern music but it has to fit the dance. The VTs were desperate tonight. They have been getting worse each year but tonight was bad. Sophie needs to start to over-extend. Her timid movements is making her a little bit loose and awkward at times and making her seem too contained. Bruce, you are awesome. But please, calm down and just present the show. |

1 Some of the music choices were awful tonight.
2 Natalie's tango left me cold. The music didn't help. 3 ditto Abby's paso. 4 Susannah and Patrick's dancing can look a little bit rough round the edges at times. Patrick in ballroom and Susanna in Latin. 5 I would prefer the judges to be harsh at the beginning not after the halfway mark. It made the show feel a bit of an anti climax. |

1-would prefer the show fully if the judges were like this from week one, now it looks like everyone is no where near as good as last week
2-Sophie's rumba was beautiful, under marked majorly along with Abbey 3-Bruce: dear, dear god 4-did not like Natalie's tango in the slightest, I found it so cold, agreed with Craig about no drama 5-found a lot of the elements of the show tonight frustrating, especially the critique |

1. Underwhelming dancing
2. Couldn't enjoy Ashley/Ola for fear of the top notes. 3. Eyes were transfixed on Kristina's microphone pack in her pants. 4. Oh to look like Iveta. 5. What was Ben picking off his arm at the end of the show? |

Bad week this week.
BAD WEEK THIS WEEK.
Awful music choices this week. The only songs that were even remotely suitable for the dance in which they were used were those for Sophie, Ben and Patrick. The others were atrocious. Earlier this week Ola was quoted as saying that the themes were imposed on the professional dancers by the production team. For example she didn't really want to do the "cowboy" theme last week, but production made her do it. I am assuming that the same applies to the music. Can we have someone who actuall;y knows about music to select the tunes for next week please? There are so many things that production do that could be improved if they didn't turn up next week. Common sense seemed to prevail last week when there was little use of that idiot with the steadycam. Unfortunately he must have demanded some retribution, because we were forced to overdose on the infernal machine which simply makes it more difficult watch the dancing. Bruce was particularly bad this week, he kept saying the same line twice, he fluffed reading the teleprompter again and completely lost his thread at one point. Sadly, it really is time for him to go and let Tess and her zany friend try to rescue the show before it goes completely down the plughole. |

1) Bruce please will you shut up!!
2) Awful awful music choice for Abbeys Paso. 3) Ashley was wonderful tonight. 4) Loved Sophie's Rumba, her smiling, almost grinning was the only thing that spoilt it for me. 5) I actually think Ben upped his game tonight so not sure who should go out of him and Mark. A sneaky 6) Brendan looked miserable tonight, in the background after Patricks dance in particular

1. Music was poor across the board
2. Enjoyed Natalie & Patrick's dances the best tonight - but they were far from their best 3. Can't help thinking that Ashley's limited time would be better spent in the training room rather than doing silly VT's 4. Even Mark's wife is bored of his dancing now by the looks of things 5. Underwhelming show overall |

1. If the BBC isn't allowed to plug products or services, how come Natalie and Artem were allowed such a blatant shout out to The Big Purple One from Quality Street in their number?
2. After tonight's Brucie malarkey, you've got to assume John Barrowman is going to spend all of next week's show crouched off-screen on a set of starting blocks. 3. Kevin from Grimsby is obviously a traditionalist. Last week he put on an incredibly old-school Paso, this week he gave us an incredibly old-school Woman Receiving Random Electric Shocks. 4. Also, those close-ups of Susanna Reid's feet should've come with some kind of warning. I thought she was a professional newsreader, not a professional kicking-great-big-boulders-covered-in-creosote-artist? 5. Here is a small test - Ben Cohen is standing, immobile, minding his own business, when suddenly Kristina comes at him in a tornado of flashing gussets, jiggling mammaries and megawatt grinning. He shuffles a bit, and she rockets up and down him like a drag tribute to the Taipei 101 elevator. Which dance did I just describe? |

1. I agree with others that being strict and saying how dances should be danced is a bit flippin' late with only 4 weeks left to go.
2. Ben correctly at the bottom of the leaderboard, for once! 3. It annoyed me that Darcey thinks it ok to tell couples to "ignore Craig". He has never treated her so disrespectfully, indeed there would be outcry if he said "Ignore Darcey". I hope she stops doing it. 4. I liked Natalie's dance but the music jarred against it. 5. Mark seemed to me to convey he was not only expecting to leave, but also wanting to leave. |

1. Judges have had their knuckles wrapped methinks. Too many 10's last week.
2. Loved Sophie's Rumba, it was spellbinding, Was spitting feathers after the judge's comments. Good to have 'Bad' Brendon back because he has a point. 3. The musical choices tonight were diabolical and distracted from the dance everyone was trying to do 4. Once again we get the circus act choreography from Kristina, worst Charleston for a long time 5. Bruce and the auto-cue ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

1. Shocking music tonight
2. Ben has muscles and can do lifts - who ever would have guessed 3. Has anyone ever played the cute kid card *and* the proud nan card in their VT before? 4. Susanna takes gurning to a whole new level. 5. I was obviously watching an entirely different show to the judges tonight. |
