Captain Sensible-Women and Captains First
Phoenix Lazarus
23-11-2013
Anyone else remember this LP, from 1982? I think when Captain Sensible (ex of the Damned) had hit singles with Happy Talk and Wot in 1982, he was seen as a bit of a joke/novelty performer, but WACF is, in my opinion, actually a pretty seriously good album, albeit with a lot of oddball humorous touches.

I shall be trotting off to see my namesake with The Damned, and Ruts DC, in a couple of weeks.
Hope there's no argument over name ownership. I'll have to remind him of a small drinks bill that's accrued quite a bit of interest down the years ...

It included this brilliant track, which was the best thing on it, IMO.

His best for me was "glad its all over"
Incidentally, is that really the Captain singing the theme tune on Challenge to "Big Break"?
