Digital Lane | Friday 17th January – Part One | Winter Block 7-00pm – 7:30pm Official Overnights: 8 million (42.4%) “Wedding bells are ringing!” Eve screams as she rushes into Maria’s room. Maria, after a restless night thinking about her sister, rubs her eyes before slowly getting out of bed and approaching the dresser. Eve slowly walks over to her and asks if everything is alright, when Maria smiles and tells her everything is perfect. Stacey, also having a restless night on the couch, seeks attention by blaring music through the house. A furious Sophie comes downstairs and glares as she turns it off. “Well you haven’t changed then have you?” Sophie sarcastically says. Stacey rolls her eyes before she spots Stephanie coming down the stairs. Stacey stands innocently as Stephanie approaches her. “Good sleep?” Stephanie asks. “No, that couch is years old.” Stacey moans. “Why would you become a stripper? I taught you better than that.” Stephanie tells her. “I needed the money! I have nothing, Tom left me, I had a miscarriage. Being a stripper makes me feel worth something!” Stacey shouts as she walks off upstairs. “Get a appropriate dress on. It’s your brothers wedding!” Stephanie shouts. Jasmine gets out of the car, without her wheelchair, smiling as she has the strength to walk again. Jamie wakes up a drunk Mark and tells him it’s less than 3 hours until the wedding and to go get ready. Mark drags himself out of bed and goes into the bathroom. Jamie looks at himself in the hotel room mirror and sighs as he does his tie. He looks down at his phone to show a photo of him and another woman, dating back to 2010. Mark comes out the bathroom to get another towel and notices the picture. “Who’s that you’re with?” Mark asks as he picks up the towel. “Danica, my ex.” Jamie mumbles. Mark looks at him weirdly before asking if he really wants to go through with the wedding, before Jamie snaps telling him of course he does. Stephanie does Charlie’s tie for him as he moans about Stacey. “Why did you even let her stay? She’s bad news.” Charlie moans. “She’s our daughter, no matter what she does to disappoint us we need to stick by her!” Stephanie fiercely tells him. “Stripper daughter, I’m so proud.” Charlie sarcastically says as he walks out. Stephanie sighs as she sits on the bed watching him leave the room. Charlie walks downstairs to find Sophie and Stacey arguing about the dress. “What do you think you are doing, wearing the same dress as me!” Sophie screams. “You’re fault for buying the same dress twice.” Stacey cheekily says. Sophie rolls her eyes as she shoves Charlie out her way and storms off upstairs. Charlie shakes his head at Stacey as he walks into the kitchen. Eve finishes off doing Maria’s hair as Abby walks into the hotel room in a long purple dress, as she puts Eve’s dress on the bed and hands up Maria’s wedding dress on the door. “I need to meet you both at the church, there’s some things I have to do first.” Abby says as she walks out. “You are coming right?” Maria nervously asks. Abby smiles and says “Of course, wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She shuts the door and rolls her eyes as she walks away. Residents of Digital Lane and many others stand outside the church awaiting the vicar to let them in. Jamie and Mark arrive and everyone ooo’s and aah’s at their smart suits as they walk through the crowd and into the chuch. The crowds follow them in as Jasmine pulls Mark back outside. A jealous Luisa watches on before being pulled into the church by Rose. Jasmine takes Mark to the side of the church and a confused Mark asks her what’s wrong. “Your wife! She thinks that there is something going on between us. I need to get out of your house.” Jasmine tells him. Mark laughs it off and tells her she has nothing to worry about and that if anything did happen Luisa wouldn’t find out. Jasmine looks at him shocked before going in for a passionate kiss. They continue to passionately kiss at the side of the church as the Collins arrive at the church. “Typical Jasmine Feather.” Charlie sarcastically says. “Today is about our son, not them.” Stephanie tells him as she walks into the church. Stacey and Sophie follow her in as Charlie rolls his eyes. “Come on out, I’m sure you look beautiful Maria!” Eve tells her through the bathroom door. Maria unlocks the door and walks out into the hotel room in a long white wedding dress. She stands awkwardly as Eve judges her. “You look stunning Maria.” Eve tells her as she hugs her. “I can’t wait to marry him!” Maria says as she spins around in her dress. A black car pulls up outside the church and Abby, Jessica and Ryan Bolen get out of the car. “Our sister getting married in a church? Didn’t think she was the religious type.” Ryan says. “Wait until you meet the family.” Abby cheekily says as they all go into the church. Mark and Jasmine smile at each other as Jasmine goes into the church discreetly as Mark walks up the isle to Jamie. Jamie glares at Abby as she takes a seat in the front row. “Mum would have loved this, she would be laughing so hard!” Jessica jokes. “Ah, old Erica, queen of the Bolen family.” Ryan says. Abby smirks at Jamie before walking into the backroom of the church. Jamie discreetly follows her in. “You have to go now!” Jamie tells her. “I’m not going anywhere. But it’s nice to know you have a conscience.” Abby cheekily tells him. Jamie grabs her shoulders and tells her what happened was a mistake. “You wanted it at first, but then something better came along and bang it was gone.” Abby tells him. “It was always Maria! We had nothing together.” Jamie replies. “We had nothing? We had everything Jamie until she came along! We even had a baby, but then she came along and you forced me into aborting our child for her.” Abby reveals. The episode ends as Abby and Jamie glare at each other in the backroom of the church. This episode marks the first appearance of Ryan Bolen. Cast List – Speaking Roles (13 Regulars, 1 Recurring)

Digital Lane | Friday 17th January – Part Two | Winter Block 8:00pm – 8:30pm Official Overnights: 8.3 million (45.3%) The episode opens as the first part ended as Abby and Jamie glare at each other. “You know it was the right thing to do!” Jamie shouts. Abby rolls her eyes in disgust and shouts, “I loved you! You were my life, my everything.” Jamie tells her that part of their life is over, and he will never go back there. “Well I can promise you one thing, you’re not going to have a happy ending with Maria.” Abby tells him as she walks out the room, leaving Jamie standing awkwardly, thinking about what she just said. Eve and Maria sit in the wedding car as it pulls up outside the church. Abby comes out of the hotel and helps her out the car, before signaling to the vicar that Maria has arrived. Eve and Abby walk down the isle as the pianist plays ‘Here Comes The Bride’. Maria enters the church and everyone is stunned, in a good way, at her wedding dress. Sophie rolls her eyes as Stacey whispers, “Why is he marrying that?” Jamie awkwardly smiles at Maria as she comes towards him. As Maria and Jamie come face to face, Abby rolls her eyes as she sits down. Back on the Lane, Frankie sits on her doorstep with Drew when a nervous Andie walks by. Frankie sighs when Drew shouts on her and she comes towards them. Drew asks her why she hasn’t been out recently and Andie snaps telling him, “I was strangled, what do you expect!” Andie is about to storm off when a sympathetic Frankie stops her and tells her that maybe they could work together to find out who did this to them, as they are both connected in a way now. Andie, shocked by Frankie’s friendliness smiles and goes inside the Cole house. Stacey yawns as Jamie and Maria say their vows. “I can’t even watch this. It makes me feel sick.” She tells Sophie. She gets up and walks down the isle and out of the church. She walks into the graveyard area and slowly walks past the graves. She stops at the grave at the end of the row. “Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t visited in a while. Life’s been a bit hectic you know. Dad is disappointed in me, mum isn’t exactly happy to see me and Sophie is being her usual self. Jamie, well he’s Jamie. I really miss you Chris. I wish you were still here. You were the only one who understood me. Remember our childhood days together. You were always my favourite brother.” Stacey says to her brother’s grave as she bursts into tears. Christine slowly walks over and comforts her, telling her she isn’t alone. Stacey then asks her who she is and Christine smiles before telling her “Christine, Christine Walker. Trust me, what I’ve done in my life, it’s much worse than what you done.” Stacey smiles and then wipes a bit of dirt off of her brother’s grave and heads back inside with Christine. "This is a mistake, I shouldn't be here" Andie mumbles. "We have to find out who has done this to us! Before it's too late." Frankie shouts. Andie nervously bites her nails as Frankie asks to see the bruise on her neck. “I do.” Jamie nervously says as he stares into Maria’s eyes before looking over at an angry Abby. “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.” The vicar happily shouts. Stephanie lets out a huge sigh as Ryan sits confused. Jessica rolls her eyes as Abby sits smirking at Jamie. Everyone arises from their seats and claps, apart from Abby. Cast List – Only Speaking Roles (13 Regulars, 1 Recurring

GREAT EPISODES.
Digital Lane is on fire! At first I wasn't much for the Bolens, but they've really come into their own. As have the Collins! |

Conrad Arrival Ad | 18 January 2014
Digital Lane bosses have released a brand new advertisement for the arrival of Conrad Steele, played by James Denton. As previously announced, Conrad Steele will make his first appearance on the 7th of February, is the ex-husband of Jasmine Feather (Samantha Womack). Conrad left Jasmine in December 2012 after finding out about her fling with a younger man. Details of how Conrad will arrive are being kept under wraps, however the advert has a few clues... Quote:
With 'What Now' by Rihanna playing softly in the background as Jasmine Feather sits in her car holding the keys to her chest as she thinks quietly, looking upset. She then starts up the car and drives out of the Lane on a dark rainy night. *Note: Only certain scenes are actually from the debut episode, others are created purely for promotional purposes.
'I wish I had a time machine.' Jasmine says as a voice over. Conrad locks up the door of a business establishment. Jasmine, sitting in her car watches as he walks away from 'Steele Law Firm' and getting into his car. He drives off and Jasmine starts up the car again, and follows his car... 'I don't need you.' Conrad says as a voice over. Jasmine hesitates before knocking on the door. Conrad answers and stands stunned. She shoves her way in and admires the statue in the centre of the hallway before turning around and glaring at him. Conrad and Jasmine glare at each other as they go round the statue, staring at each other before Jasmine stops walking. Conrad continues and comes up behind her and begins to kiss her neck as Jasmine stands emotionless. 'I'm tired of being alone.' Conrad and Jasmine say together as a voice over. |

'Digital Lane': 3 to leave the show | 19 January 2014
Digital Lane bosses have announced that 3 are set to leave the hit DS soap in the spring. The latest casualties of Digital Lane's cast are Drew Ross (Tom Felton), Andie Marcello (Dani Harmer) and Elena Herefordshire (Lorna Fitzgerald). All 3 will be leaving the show in April, after SoapAddict said that the characters had ran their course on the show and it was time to move on. In a full statement he said: Quote:
I'm sorry to see the talents of Dani, Tom and Lorna leave us, however we sat down with each of them and it was agreed that their characters had ran their course. At this time, we are keeping it under wraps on whether the door will be left open for the 3. They will depart in April as the conclusion to the high profile 'Digital Lane Strangler' storyline comes to a head. I give a massive thanks to Dani for her portrayal of autism, a storyline that will be developed more before her exit. I also thank Elena for her great efforts at portraying Elena, a young and lost girl who doesn't know where she belongs. Also to Tom for his fantastic acting as Drew Ross, we will miss them all, however it is for the best. There is a lot of drama to be played out until then for the 3.
Following the news, SoapAddict also announced a 5 night week spanning 14th April - 18th April 2014 as the 'Digital Lane Strangler' comes to a climax, it is also believed all 5 episodes will air after the 9pm watershed. Bosses also teased that there is a casting announcement coming up shortly, and it is massive for the show. Digital Lane continues Monday at 7pm. |

EXCLUSIVE: Patricia Hodge joins Digital Lane | 19 January 2014
Digital Lane bosses have unveiled British actress Patricia Hodge today as the character, Geraldine Feather, mother of established character Jasmine Feather (Samantha Womack). She is set to cause complications in Jasmine’s life, as she is the new mysterious owner of Neon Sky, which is being turned into a bar called Blue Ribbon. Geraldine will make a surprise appearance at the grand opening of Blue Ribbon, only for the residents of Digital Lane to find out she is the brand new landlady of the bar, to Jasmine’s anger. Geraldine, who disapproves of Jasmine and her ex husband Conrad Steele (James Denton), will take it upon herself to try to get rid of Conrad, however if her attempts will work remains to be seen… Speaking of the casting, executive producer SoapAddict told DS: Quote:
I am overwhelmed we have the talents of Patricia Hodge joining us on Digital Lane to be at the heart of the show. Blue Ribbon is where all our residents will go to after a hard days work to drown their sorrows, but of course it wouldn’t be Digital Lane without people kicking off and causing trouble. The bar is part of our makeover of the business district, viewers will see changes over the coming month as Eve Barrett (Claire Cooper), the heart of the business district, departs in February, leaving 3 businesses on the business district to have new owners. Annette’s character Geraldine will be at the heart of Digital Lane’s new makeover, and we are very happy to have her join us here. Annette, Samantha and James are a great team together, I can’t wait for the viewers to see them all in action together.
Patricia Hodge was unavailable to comment at the time, however she sent her love via SoapAddict at the press conference. Geraldine Feather (Patricia Hodge) is set to debut in late February.Other changes to the business district are 'Have Your Cake' owned by Sandy Foster will be expanding into Cloud 9 Spa's building and Jessica Bolen will be taking ownership of Purple Moon. Digital Lane continues Monday at 7pm. |

Digital Lane | Monday 20th January | Winter Block 7:00pm – 7:30pm Official Overnight: 7.9 million (34.6%) The episode opens with Abby writing a note, it then moves to Stacey nervously lying on the couch alone with her thoughts. It then moves to Mark staring at a sleeping Luisa. In finally stops at newly weds Jamie and Maria lying in bed together. “Sorry I couldn’t get you a honeymoon” Jamie tells her as he strokes her hair. “Never mind, we can go on one later.” Maria says, “But last night was a good start to our marriage.” Jamie chuckles and the newly weds share a passionate kiss as Maria gets out of bed and puts her dressing gown on. Downstairs, Abby sits staring at her hands before slowly getting up and heading over to the fireplace. She looks at the photo frame of her, Maria, Jessica and Ryan and sighs. She then walks over to Jamie’s phone and turns it on to reveal a background of him and Maria on their wedding day. She throws the phone across the room in angry. She begins to heavily breathe as she storms out the house, dropping a note on the way out. An exhausted Luisa comes down the stairs to find a guilty Mark sitting there. She slowly walks over to him and puts her arm around him. “What’s wrong?” She asks him. Mark shrugs and walks out the house, leaving Luisa sitting confused. Luisa walks over to the laptop and opens it up. She goes into her inbox to reveal an e-mail from Peter Young. She opens it up and it reads, ‘Friday, Train Station, Bring cash.’ Luisa sits back in her chair, stunned before quickly shutting the laptop down and sighing. Stacey awakens to find Charlie sitting on the couch opposite her, with an envelope. Stacey, confused, quickly gets up and scratches her eyes before asking why he is staring at her. “I have a proposition for you.” Charlie tells her. Jessica does her hair at the hotel dressing table as Ryan sits on the bed. “I can’t believe Maria actually married that thing.” Jessica tells her brother. “Why do you actually care? Why did you phone me to come down here?” Ryan asks. Jessica angrily turns around and says, “She is our sister and we have to protect her. We always stick together in times of need.” There is a knock at the door as Ryan rolls his eyes and Jessica goes to answer it. Abby shoves her way in, telling them that they should move in. “What? Move In?” Ryan confusingly asks. “Yes. Now.” Abby tells them. “I can’t just get up and leave.” Jessica shouts. “I’m pretty sure the door will be wide open for you to leave.” Abby says as she pokes Jessica’s fake baby bump. Jessica rolls her eyes and tells her there is no way in hell she is moving to Digital Lane. “We’ll see about that.” Abby cheekily says as she walks out. Outside the hotel room, Abby takes out Jessica’s phone, which she took, and dials Jessica’s fiancée’s phone number. The other line answers and she says, “You may want to check out that baby bump your fiancée has. Thanks.” And hangs up. Stacey nervously looks at Charlie as he hands her an envelope. “What is this?” Stacey confusingly asks. “4 and a half grand.” Charlie tells her. Stacey sits stunned as he looks at her. “4 and a half grand to leave. Now. Go start a fresh somewhere.” Charlie tells her. “What? I’m your daughter! You want rid of me?” She asks. “If I’m being honest. Yes. You’re only going to tear this family a part like you always do.” Charlie says. “I’m not going anywhere.” Stacey says as she slides the envelope back across the table to Charlie. “Why would you be going somewhere?” Stephanie says as she emerges from the kitchen. Abby walks back into the house to find Jamie and Maria cuddling on the couch. She rolls her eyes as she hangs up her coat and heads down to the basement. She walks down to the old fridge and opens it up to reveal packs of blood lying. She strokes one and says “The time is coming.” Before holding her fragile arm and slowly walking off. Jasmine opens the door to a stressed out Mark. She lets him in and asks Elena if she could go upstairs. Elena looks at them both suspiciously and goes upstairs. “What is it?” Jasmine asks. “I can’t stop thinking about you.” Mark tells her. “Stop right there. I don’t want a relationship Mark. I don’t want to be a home wrecker. That kiss was just in the heat of the moment.” Jasmine warns. Mark sighs and walks out saying this was a mistake. “It sure was.” Jasmine whispers to herself. There is a knock on the door and Abby goes to answer it to find Jessica standing with 2 suitcases and a bag. “I’m guessing it was you?” Jessica moans. “Who else?” Abby laughs as she helps her get her suitcases in the door. “I was so close to getting my hands on his cash!” Jessica shouts. Ryan stands at the car, shouting that he will be down tomorrow with his stuff. Abby smiles and shuts the door to find an angry Eve standing. “What’s going on?” Eve angrily asks. “I’m moving in. Deal with it.” Jessica says as she shoves her way by and goes upstairs. Maria comes into the hallway and is confused by what is going on as Eve angrily shoves by her. Maria picks up the bit of paper on the floor and it says ‘Your marriage won’t last.’ Maria stands confused as she looks at Eve, Maria and then Jessica who is coming down the stairs. “What is going on?” Stephanie angrily asks. “Dad’s trying to pay me off.” Stacey says sarcastically. “He’s what?” Stephanie sternly asks. “I want her gone!” All she does is cause trouble in this family, I’m not allowing it.” Charlie shouts. “She’s our daughter. She will be going no where.” Stephanie strictly warns. “If she doesn’t go, I go.” Charlie says as he walks out the house and slams the door. Stephanie lets out a huge sigh. Cast List (13 Regulars)

Marvellous writing here from you SA, I agree with everybody saying that Abby is swiftly becoming one of the greater characters in the show. Going to miss her when she goes on a break, but she will come back stronger than ever!

Digital Lane | Wednesday 22 January – Part One | Winter Block 7:00pm – 7:30pm Official Overnights: 8 million (40.2%) Abby sits on the end of her bed, looking at a blue teddy bear toy as she cradles it in her arms. “Don’t worry. He will be gone soon.” Abby whispers to it as she rocks it from side to side. Christine puts a black coat on as she stares at herself in the mirror. She flicks her hair and sighs. “Are you doing the right thing Penelope?” She whispers to herself as she goes out the door and onto the Lane. She smiles over at Luisa, who is nervously sitting on the doorstep, however she doesn’t acknowledge Christine. Christine gets into her car and drives off. Luisa gets up off the doorstep and heads inside. She walks into the living room and looks at Rose and Mark. “Rose darling, could you go upstairs?” Luisa asks. Rose quietly goes upstairs, leaving them both alone. “What is it now?” Mark asks. “I have to tell you something” Luisa nervously says as she sits down. Mark, uninterested in what she has too say unenthusiastically asks her what is it. Luisa then hesitates and says “You know what, it doesn’t matter.” As she storms off upstairs. Jessica walks in to find Abby in tears staring at the blue teddy bear. She slowly walks over to comfort her. “I know it’s hard Abby.” Jessica tells her. “You know nothing.” Abby complains. Jessica sighs and tells her that she is here if she needs anything. “It’s Jamie. Jamie is the father of my unborn child.” Abby reveals. Jessica turns around, stunned. “What? When? How?” She asks as she quickly sits down. “You don’t need to know, all you need to know is that he won’t be around much longer.” Abby whispers deviously. Jessica looks at her confused as Ryan walks in and asks, “What room is mine? Some girl is moaning out there about me moving in.” Abby rolls her eyes and goes out into the hallway and tells Eve she can have her room. Eve looks at her confused and asks, “Where are you going?” Abby smiles and walks back into her bedroom. Eve then says, “Well I’m off then. I’m in meetings all day.” Before glaring at Ryan. “My doors always open, Eve. You know what I mean.” Ryan jokes as he puts his bags into the bedroom. “Chaos up there, I’d advise against going up.” Eve tells Maria and Jamie as she heads out the door. Maria laughs as Jamie asks if there will be enough room for them all. “We will make it work” Maria says. Christine pulls up outside a crematorium and sighs. She slowly gets out of her car and starts walking towards it when she recognises a neighbour. She puts her head down and hood up and continues to walk. Outside the crematorium, a girl is greeting people, “I’m sorry for your loss dear” an old woman says to her. “Oh thank you, I already really miss her, it’s almost a month since she left us.” The girl tells her. Christine comes to a standstill as she takes out her phone and finds a photo of her and the girl, on a cruise. She sighs before realising what she is doing is a mistake. She runs back to the car and gets back in. She begins to heavily breathe as she starts the car up and begins to drive. She calms herself down a bit as she takes hold of her phone while driving to look at the photo when she looks up she is going straight for another car. She swerves to the left as the other driver beeps his horn. She stops the car in the middle of the road and calms herself down. “I see you’re still trying to get me from up there” Christine says as she looks up to the sky “Oh wait you’re down there.” She says as she then looks down to the ground in front of her car. Night falls on the Lane as Maria, Jessica and Ryan head out for dinner, leaving Jamie and Abby at home. Abby comes down the stairs and asks Jamie why he didn’t go with them. “I’m heading over to my friends later, wouldn’t imagine staying here with you.” Jamie says sarcastically. Abby rolls her eyes and tells him “Yeah, enjoy it, it might be your last” Jamie asks her what she means. “Never mind” Abby lies as she grabs his phone discreetly from the table. Jamie huffs and grabs his coat and heads out, leaving Abby alone in the house. Abby smirks and heads into the kitchen. She pulls out the sharpest and biggest knife there is and stares at it, smiling. Christine drives back onto the Lane, she gets out of her car and looks around, before going into the house. She slowly looks around before approaching the spot where Angela died. She looks at it evilly before saying, “You deserved it, you know that and I know that.” She flips her hair and smirks as she takes her coat off. Abby stands smirking in pain as she looks at her two fingers, lying not attached to her hand. She slides them along the cutting board and into a bag before finding bandages for her hand, which is gushing of blood. She then runs out to Jamie’s car, which is parked in the Bolen garage. She opens the boot and empties the fingers into the boot, before looking at her hand with only 3 fingers remaining as she bandages it up. She takes one of Jamie’s gloves carefully and casually drops it next to the car as she walks back into the house. “Time to set the scene.” She evilly says to herself as she heads down to the basement. She opens the fridge and takes the packs of blood and heads back upstairs. She opens them and begins to splat it on the floor and walls while smirking. She then picks up Jamie’s phone and puts it amongst the blood. She then purposely leaves the knife on the counter, making sure her DNA isn't on it by using gloves. She looks at the scars on her arm where she took the blood from and smiles. She takes a deep breath and says to herself, “I told you I would do anything to get you away from my sister” before running out the back door, climbing over the fence and into the darkness. Ooh, enjoying seeing Christine's darker side. Loved her remarks about her dead sister Christine and Angela. :P
Great part one, great cliffhanger, exciting for part two! As always, Abby was one of the strongest characters tonight. |
