Maria, Jessica and Ryan walk along the street talking about Abby’s abortion. “Did you guys ever find out who the father was?” Ryan innocently asks. “No. I presume it was someone we know though” Jessica tells them. Maria nods her head as they continue to walk down the street.

“I’m so stupid, forgetting my phone” Jamie says as he rushes back to the house in the dark, with not a soul in sight. He slowly opens the door to a darkened Bolen house. He walks into the dining room shouting “Abby?” as he does so. He looks around in the living room for his phone. He then walks into the darkened kitchen. He then suddenly slips on blood and falls to the ground, covering himself in Abby’s blood. He lies confused as he sees blood slowly dripping from the counter. He slowly gets up and asks “Abby, where are you?” nervously. Suddenly police sirens are heard from outside. Jamie stands panicking as they get closer and closer…

Outside, Eve, who is coming home from her meetings all day looks confused as the police stop outside their house. “What’s going on?” Eve asks the police man getting out the car. “Someone has been murdered, please step back” He tells her as he points to the other side of the road. She nervously walks over, looking confused. Inside, Jamie panics as the police batter the door down, shouting that they are the police and they know he is in there. Jamie looks at all of the blood confused as he hears the police go into the garage. In the garage, the police wreck the boot to get it open, to find Abby’s blood and 2 fingers lying there. “We’ve got our evidence!” The policeman shouts to the others. The police batter the door down and run into the house. “Don’t move” The detective says to Jamie. “I’ve done nothing, I don’t know what’s going on!” He shouts. He shakes his head in disgust and says “Jamie Collins, I’m arresting you for the murder of Abby Bolen, you do not have to say anything, but anything you do say may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.” Jamie shouts and fidgets as the police put handcuffs on and lead him outside. Outside, the neighbours are out in their numbers, looking at Jamie as he is dragged out of the house. The Bolen’s come rushing down the Lane, “What’s going on?!” Maria screams as the police hold her back. Stephanie comes running out of her house, followed by Sophie and Stacey. “Jamie what’s happening?” Stephanie shouts as she tries to push her way by. “I’m so sorry, but Abby’s dead.” Eve tells Jessica, as she stands, shell-shocked by the news. “I had nothing to do with it Maria, I don’t know what’s going on” Jamie shouts as he is forced into the car. Stephanie breaks into tears as Jessica whispers in Maria’s ear what Jamie supposedly done. Ryan stands stunned and angry. Maria’s jaw drops as the police car slowly drives out the Lane. Jamie lets out a slight tear as he sits in the police car.

The camera moves to a dark mountain, where Abby is seen walking up. She enters a mountain lodge and rings the bell. “Hi there, would you like a room?” The woman says. “Yes please” Abby nervously says. “Okay, name?” She asks. “Erica, Erica Bolen” Abby says as she hands over cash and smiles.

The episode opens with Jamie sits in an interview room, nervously biting his nails confused at what just happened. It then moves to Maria, with her makeup ruined from crying, sitting rocking forward and backwards on Christine’s couch. It then moves to Stephanie putting on a brave face, before suddenly breaking into tears and being comforted by Stacey and Sophie. It then moves to Christine standing in front of the Bolen house as forensics are inside. It then moves back to Jamie in the interview room as the detective begins the recording.

“I can go home after this right? I don’t even know what’s going on.” Jamie asks. “Abby Bolen has been murdered, Mr. Collins and we have a reason to believe it was you who killed her.” Jamie sits back in his chair, complaining that he had nothing to do with it. “We received an anonymous tip from a frightened neighbour, which said you dragged out a body bag and stuck it in your car. You then drove off the Lane and returned, just as we arrived on the scene.” The detective tells him. “I walked into the house and found all this blood everywhere!” Jamie shouts. “What about those fingers in the boot of your car Jamie? Keeping them as some sort of trophy?” The detective says. Jamie suddenly slams the table shouting that they have to believe he had nothing to do with it.

Maria sits on Christine’s couch, grief-stricken by what happened. Jessica comes down the stairs and goes to comfort her sister. “Don’t worry, we will get through this, together” She says as Ryan comes into the room. “I can’t believe it. Jamie isn’t like that. He wouldn’t just kill her.” Maria says. “Well he really showed his true colours then” Ryan says as he sits down. Jessica glares at him as Maria breaks down again.

Christine stands in front of the Bolen house, staring blankly at it. She jumps when she hears Sandy and Brad behind her. “Jamie Collins eh? Didn’t see that coming.” Sandy says to her. “You don’t know what people are really like behind closed doors.” Christine tells her as she walks back home. “If only she knew what happens behind our closed doors, a lot of secrets.” Sandy tells Brad, as he rolls his eyes and tells her don’t make this about them. “I’m not!” Sandy shouts, “There’s just a lot of secrets in our house, I’m sick of it.” Sandy storms off into the house as Brad turns around to look at the spot where he ran over Jake Potter.

Stephanie grabs her bag and is about to head out the door, however when she opens it she finds Charlie standing there, stunned. Stephanie sighs and shoves by him and gets into her car and drives off. Charlie goes into the house to find his daughters sitting with shock in their eyes. Stacey glares at him as he tries to comfort Sophie, he then tries to hug Stacey, however she walks off into the kitchen. Charlie sighs as Sophie tries to stay strong.

Christine walks into her house to find grieving Bolen’s sitting there. She almost speaks but ends up just leaving them to it. “I can’t get over how she’s just gone” Ryan says as he tries to hold back his emotions. “We should have never left her in that house alone with him, I just knew something bad would happen” Maria upsettingly says. Christine walks in and offers her support to them all. Jessica thanks her as Ryan smiles at her while she smiles back.

“What about your relationship with Abby? Anything you aren’t telling us?” The detective asks. Jamie is about to tell him, however he hesitates and slumps back into his chair. “No, nothing” Jamie quietly says.

Luisa walks towards the train station, nervously checking the coast is clear. She walks onto the platform, looking around for Peter when he taps her shoulder. She turns around and glares. She hands him an envelope and tells him to leave her alone. “Is that it? Not even a little kiss?” Peter jokes. Luisa slaps him and glares. She walks off and Peter smirks. He stands on the platform, waiting for Luisa to drive off. He then walks back through the train station and takes in a breath of fresh air, before getting into a taxi and ordering them to go to the Hilton Hotel.

Jamie sits stressed as the detective is handed a note from another police officer. “Well can I go home now?” Jamie asks. “Mr. Collins, it’s our intention to charge you with murder” the detective tells him as he walks out. Jamie shouts, “You’re making a mistake! I’ve done nothing!” Outside in the waiting area, Stephanie sits awaiting news. “Excuse me, do you know where my son is? Jamie? Jamie Collins?” Stephanie nervously asks the detective. “We are charging him with the murder of Abby Bolen.” He tells her. Stephanie breaks down into tears as she falls to the ground as she hears Jamie’s shouting from behind the closed doors.

Oh god, Abby has really left them in the lurch! Liked Christine looking after Maria, feel sorry for Jamie! Great episode, you never fail, SoapAddict.

Abby really has left them in the lurch, however she carefully worked her plan so that Maria wouldn't be alone when 'grieving' for her. Your feedback means a lot to me so thank you for continuing to do it.

Can't wait for Abby's return, but I still feel sorry for Jamie.

Digital Lane | Monday 27th January | Winter Block

The episode begins as Karl’s car drives down the Lane and into the driveway. He gets out and goes round to the other side and opens the door. Elaine smiles as Karl helps her out. She breathes in the fresh air and smiles at the passing mailman. “It’s good to be home.” She tells Karl and Oliver. “Glad to have you back.” Karl says as they walk into the house. Oliver waits behind and nervously stares at Karl as he walks away.

Stacey walks into Sophie’s bedroom to find her packing her bags. “What’s going on?” Stacey confusingly asks. “I’m going back to London, the business needs me” Sophie moans. “So you’re just going to leave now? When our brothers been arrested for murder and our parent’s marriage is falling apart?” Stacey aggressively tells her. “Yes. It’s not my problem if Jamie went and killed Abby, I have my own life” Sophie says as she folds her clothes. “I see you’re still selfish like you were years ago then” Stacey angrily says as she walks out. Sophie sighs and considers what she is doing.

Christine comes down in her housecoat to find Maria, Jessica and Ryan packing up their stuff. “Going so soon?” Christine asks. “Yeah, we are allowed back into the house.” Jessica says as she puts on her coat. Maria nervously thanks Christine before walking out, leaving Jessica and Ryan to carry all the bags. “See you later Christine” Ryan smiles as he shuts the front door for her. Christine looks around at her big empty house, sighing as she does so.

Stephanie walks into the prison visiting room nervously as she looks at the dangerous prisoners on her left and right. She sits down shaking as she waits on her son to come out. Jamie emerges from the door, emotionless as he sits down in front of his mother. “Look, I don’t know what you’ve done, but I will get you out of here.” Stephanie tells him. “Mum you don’t understand, I didn’t kill her, in fact I had nothing to do with the mess in that kitchen that night” Jamie whispers. “So what are you doing in here?” Stephanie asks, shocked. “Abby and someone else must have framed me, they are trying to get me to tell them where the body is, but I have no idea!” Jamie tells her. “You’ve been framed? Why would she do that?” Stephanie asks. Jamie sits back in his chair, debating whether to tell her about his and Abby’s unborn child. “Tell me! I can’t help you if you won’t tell me the facts” Stephanie demands. “We had an unborn child together, she aborted it because I told her too. She wanted me away from her sister and would do everything she could to do so.” Jamie tells her. Stephanie sits back, stunned. “Please get me out of here” Jamie pleads. “I’ll do everything I can” Stephanie tells him as she gets up and hugs him. She walks out of the prison, trying to stay strong in front of the police officers. She bumps into Charlie, who is late for visiting time. “It’s over.” Stephanie tells him. “I thought I made it?” Charlie tells her. “No not visiting time, us. I want a divorce.” Stephanie tells him. “What?” Charlie asks, stunned. “I want away from you, I want to focus on my children, not a man who doesn’t love me” Stephanie moans as she exits the prison, leaving Charlie standing there, distraught.

Elaine sits on the bed smiling as she watches Karl unpack her stuff. “So what have I missed?” Elaine asks as she takes off her shoes. “Nothing really, Abby Bolen is dead though. Murdered by Jamie.” Karl tells her calmly. “What? He killed her?” Elaine says, shocked. “Yeah, apparently the whole kitchen was covered in her blood.” Karl tells her. Elaine sits shaking her head, telling Karl she would have never expected that. Karl tells her no one expected it. “How has Oliver been? He hasn’t said a word to me since I came back” Elaine asks, moving on from the horrible subject. “I don’t know, he’s quiet.” Karl mutters. Elaine looks at him weirdly before walking off downstairs carefully. Karl begins to get changed when Oliver emerges from the hallway, having listened to it all. He begins to look lustfully at Karl, before walking slowly over to him. “What are you doing?” Karl asks. Oliver kisses Karl, however yet again Karl pushes him away. “This needs to stop!” Karl shouts at him as he storms out.

Maria opens the door to the Bolen house, before slowly walking around as Jessica and Ryan walk in behind her. She looks at the kitchen angrily before picking up a plant pot and throwing it at the wall. Jessica runs over to calm her down but she fights her off. “I will make him pay for what he has done!” She screams as Ryan looks at her nervously and Jessica holds her.

Sophie unlocks her red sports car before putting the suitcase in the boot as an angry Stacey watches. Stephanie drives into the driveway and rushes over asking what is going on. “Mum I’ve got to go, I’m needed back at London” Sophie tells her. “Leaving us in our time of need! Typical Sophie!” Stacey shouts. “If she needs to go back to London she goes back to London alright! We can cope on our own.” Stephanie shouts back at her before hugging Sophie. Sophie smiles and gets into the car. Stacey walks away from the door in disgust as Sophie drives off of the Lane Stephanie breaks into tears on the sidewalk.

Fab ep! I felt Stacey was a bit selfish arguing with Sophie. Them scenes had great dialogue. I love Karl, I wish we'd see him more

Fantastic episode, you never disappoint, SoapAddict. Sophie is being selfish, I disagree with Nick and agree with Stacey, its her job but leaving The Collins when they've gone through Jamie's arrest and now Stephanie and Charlie's divorce. I feel really sorry for Jamie, Abby has really left everybody in the lurch, and Stephanie and Charlie's divorce will be interesting. I love how Christine has helped out the Bolens, it's really good that she's interacting with other characters and Karl and Elaine's scenes were very lovely to read also.

Really strong episodes nice of see the resident gossip Elaine back where she belongs , Stephanie was fantastic tonight and I love Stacey coming out of her shell and telling Sophie how it is, Maria's scene where she threw the plant pot at the wall I thought was very strong and I loved the Karl and Elaine scenes I love those two together

It's nice to see the Gibson's were popular tonight, after a brief break. You all have made good points on the Sophie/Stacey saga, nice to see a bit of a debate. It's a rough time ahead for the Collins, as it is for the Bolens and Gibsons. Thank you all for your lovely feedback tonight, I hope you continue to do so.

I agree with others, Sophie is being selfish leaving them in there time of need. Great to see Elaine back on the Lane and hers and Karls scenes were warming great episode.

The episode opens with Rachel walking down the Lane and stopping at where her house is being rebuilt. She sighs as she approaches the builders to ask how it is coming along. They tell her that it will be finished sometime next week and she lets out a sigh of relief. “I just need to get back to normal” Rachel tells them before turning around to find Janice standing there with a cake in her hands. “What are you doing?” Rachel asks confused. “Coming to live with you!” Janice shouts happily, “Why are the builders still here?” “The house isn’t finished yet you dimwit” Rachel tells her, “But no way are you moving in with me” “Oh come on! Imagine it, Rachel and Janice, together in a suburban neigbourhood!” Janice exclaims. Rachel rolls her eyes as Janice turns on the puppy dog eyes. “How can you say no to this face?” Janice tells her. “Fine! You can stay with me when the house is finished” Rachel tells her. Janice screams with happiness before dropping the cake as she follows Rachel down the Lane.

Wendy and Jack sit around the table, discussing Susan and Frankie. “Look, we are going to have to get them to sort it out, it’s ridiculous now” Wendy moans. “If Susan chose her fiancée over Frankie then I don’t think we should allow her in the house, she is no daughter of mine now” Jack tells her. “Susan will always be our daughter despite her mistakes, how could you say such a thing?” Wendy angrily asks. “She clearly doesn’t value her family, why should we value her?” Jack tells her as Frankie comes downstairs. Wendy stares at Jack before smiling at Frankie and asking her what she wants for breakfast. Frankie tells her she isn’t hungry. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling alright?” Wendy asks as she checks for a temperature. “I’m fine!” Frankie says as she pulls Wendy’s arms away from her. Frankie goes back upstairs as Jack asks “What’s wrong with her?” “Leave it” Wendy tells him.

Stacey comes downstairs to find a lonely Stephanie sitting on the couch, listening to ‘Cry me a river’. Stacey walks over to the stereo and turns it off, before looking at her upset mother. “I’m still here mum, you’re not alone in this” Stacey tells her as she comforts her. “I’ve lost basically everything, all I have left is you and my business” Stephanie says. “Sophie will come back soon, she always does. Jamie will be out of that place once it’s proven he had nothing to do with Abby’s death” Stacey says as she reassures her mother. “I wouldn’t be so sure” Stephanie tells her as she gets up and goes into the kitchen. Stacey sighs before grabbing her coat and heading out the door.

Maria and Jessica sit at the table, nervously looking at funeral leaflets as they begin to plan Abby’s funeral. “I still can’t believe she’s gone” Jessica says. “Me either, it was her who kept the peace between us” Maria explains. “True, but I guess we are getting along now eh?” Jessica jokes. Maria smiles before picking up a funeral leaflet and opening it up.

Elaine hands Jasmine a cup of coffee as she puts a plate of biscuits on the coffee table. “I’m so glad everything’s alright between us now” Elaine tells her. “Life’s too short to hold grudges” Jasmine replies. “Tell me about it, I might have not been sitting here right now” Elaine tells her. Jasmine tells her not to think that way but Elaine says she can’t help it. “Hold on, let me show you a photo I found of us” Elaine says as she rushes upstairs. Jasmine smiles. Elaine picks up the photo album and rushes back down the stairs, before tripping and falling down all the steps. Jasmine rushes over in panic and helps her up. “I’m fine I’m fine!” Elaine tells her as she sits on the chair. “I’ll call Karl!” Jasmine shouts. “No! Leave it Jasmine!” Elaine tells her. “Why?” Jasmine asks confused. “I don’t want a fuss made, please just leave it” Elaine tells her.

Janice and Rachel walk into the caravan. “It stinks in here more than it when I left” Rachel moans. “Bad curry” Janice replies as she closes the bathroom door and then sits down with a can of beer. Rachel laughs and asks where Ciara is. “Out with Lillie, I need her to spend more time with her” Janice seriously says. “How what’s wrong?” Rachel confusingly asks. Janice takes a gulp of her beer and tells Rachel to sit down.

Stacey walks into the prison visiting room to find an anxious Jamie sitting. She sits down across from him and looks at his nervousness. He stares at her blankly as she tries to talk to him. Stacey takes his hand and holds it and tells him, “We are going to get you out of here, I’m promising you”

This episode marks the first appearance of Janice Goldburn, played by Pauline Quirke.

Great episode brilliant way to introduce Janice I love the two sisters together very strong bond and relationship, The Elaine and Jasmine scene was a. Nice on to read I can see why Elaine doesn't want a fuss made of her, I can't wait til, November already for Abby's return and to see the other residents faces.
