Ella and Daniel are lying in their king size double bed, Ella is hogging all of the sheets and Daniel is in just his underwear. “At least share some of them” Daniel moans, pulling some of the quilt over himself as Ella stays silent. “Okay, okay, what’s wrong?” Daniel questions her, stretching his arms before placing his hand on her shoulder gently while she lies holding onto the covers tightly with her head buried into the pillows. “Nothing’s wrong” Ella grunts, continuing to have her back to him. “I know you’re lying because by now you would have made some sarcastic remark about me and my snoring” Daniel says, making Ella laugh a little as she turns her body over so she can look at him. “I’m just worried about mum, the past few weeks have just been crazy for her and I think she’s going to end up having a meltdown” Ella explains to him, while he rubs his hand softly up and down her arm to comfort her. “I thought she started going back to her AA meetings? I thought she was getting better” Daniel asks confused, while Ella bites her lip. “That’s what she wants us to think, but if she was she would be making much more progress than she is, in fact she isn’t even making any progress” Ella continues to vent to Daniel, who simply lies there listening to her moaning. “We can try and sort something out for her, I’ll have a look online if you like” Daniel suggests to her, causing Ella to crack a faint smile. Noah is heard crying in the other room making them both groan to themselves as they try to hide under the covers. “It’s your turn!” Ella insists, trying to push Daniel out of the bed jokingly. “It’s been my turn everyday this week!” Daniel laughs, getting enough willpower to get out of bed and leave the room. Ella breathes a sigh of relief as she once again wraps all the covers around herself, burying her head in the pillow and shutting her eyes to try and get some sleep. It cuts to Andrea walking down the staircase in her housecoat having just gotten out of bed, before walking into the kitchen and looking horrified as the door leading to the garden is wide open. She rushes towards it and slams it shut, heavily breathing as she makes sure it is locked tight. She breathes a heavy sigh as she puts her back to the door, sliding down it with her head in her hands.
Christine walks into her and Ryan’s bedroom, where he is lying in the double bed under the quilt trying to get back to sleep. “Come on, you’ve got to be out of this house for my dress arriving today!” Christine says, pulling the quilt off the bed so he has to wake up. “You don’t believe all that superstition stuff do you?” Ryan remarks, rubbing his eyes tiredly and raising his arms in the air while yawning. “Of course I do, it’s bad luck to see me in my wedding dress before our wedding day!” Christine says, causing Ryan to laugh a little as she pretends to be offended. “No matter what happens our wedding day is going to be perfect and I’ll make sure of it” Ryan says, climbing out of the bed and walking towards her. “Before you even touch me you need a shower because I can smell you from here” Christine laughs, causing Ryan to awkwardly sniff his arm and make a surprised facial expression afterwards. “I’ll go for a shower…” Ryan remarks, causing Christine to giggle as he walks out of the room. Amelia passes by the room, before backtracking as she sees Christine happily making the bed. “What are you so happy for?” Amelia questions, folding her arms as she leans against the doorframe. “I just realised how perfect my life is, I’ve got an amazing guy that I’m about to marry and I’ve got my sister back in my life, there isn’t anything else I could want” Christine explains to her in a genuine way, causing Amelia to smile at her. Alfie is sitting on a barstool in Venom while Jessica stands behind the bar putting out new bottles of alcohol on the shelves. “As much as I’ve loved you being quiet for once, I can’t help but wonder what’s wrong with you now” Jessica remarks, turning around to face him as he stares blankly down at the floor. “It doesn’t matter, it’s nothing to do with you anyway” Alfie replies quite rudely to her, causing her to raise her eyebrow. “There was a time when we would tell each other everything” Jessica remarks, before continuing to put out the new bottles on the shelf. “Yeah well things have changed now, there’s no going back” Alfie abruptly informs her, angry about something else but taking it out on her. “I’d never go back anyway” Jessica sneers, growing increasingly annoyed as she walks away, making Alfie put his head into his hands and sigh, angry with himself for taking it out on her.
Jennifer is walking along the business district, texting on her phone before accidently bumping into Gracie as she comes out of the café. “You need to watch where you’re walking” Gracie says annoyed, while Jennifer rolls her eyes and continues to walk down the street. “I will get the proof you know! You may think you’ve got it handled but I’m not going to let this go until you’re behind bars for what you done to Andie!” Gracie shouts at her furiously, while Jennifer looks up and sees Finn coming down the street, looking confused as he sees them both. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve heard of mood swings during pregnancy but wow this is something else” Jennifer hits back at her, causing Gracie to breathe heavily with anger. “You should keep her on a lead before she gets herself into serious trouble” Jennifer remarks to Finn, trying to act as if Gracie is the crazy one. Finn rubs his forehead stressfully while Gracie stands there looking down at the ground, embarrassed by the scene she has made in the street. “This has to stop! You can’t just keep shouting at her in the street, you may think she did it, but you can’t start accusing people for no good reason” Finn angrily tells Gracie while he walks towards her, as she looks at him confused. “No good reason? The girl was ready to have a fight with me there and then when she found out about my pregnancy in the club that night” Gracie shouts back at him, causing Finn to heavily sigh to himself. “Come on, let’s just get you home” Finn says, putting his arm around her gently. “I’m sick of no one believing me, she done it and I will get the proof even if it kills me!” Gracie pushes his arms off of her and begins to walk down the street on her own, as Finn watches on worriedly. The screen cuts to St Pancras Railway Station, where Elaine has just came out of it. “I can’t believe I allowed you to talk me into this Oliver, I’ve got a terrible feeling about going back there after all that’s happened” Elaine explains on the phone as she holds it to her ear while pulling along her suitcase, “Yes, yes I know it’s for my own good but I don’t even know what I’ll say to them both, I wish you could have came back with me” Elaine continues to speak on the phone to him, before waving her hand out to get a taxi to pull over. “I know you’ve got work, I’m allowed to wish though aren’t I?...Right I’ve got to go now, I’ll speak to you soon love you!” Elaine finishes her conversation, before climbing into the black cab and sighing to herself as she puts her seatbelt on. “4353 Digital Lane, Wolverhampton please” Elaine says to the driver, before heavily sighing to herself as she looks out the window.
“That will be £2.50 love, I’ll be with you in a second Aaron” Wendy says to a customer, who hands her the money and Wendy puts it in cash register, before handing her the change. “What can I get you? On the house of course” Wendy smiles, as Aaron looks exhausted while he rubs his eyes, which have massive bags under them. “Aaron?” Wendy asks, as Aaron seems to be completely distracted by something else. “Oh sorry, just a bacon butty when you’re ready” Aaron replies, coming out of his trance while Wendy looks at him oddly. “Are you okay love?” Wendy asks with concern, as Aaron slowly nods at him. “I’m fine, just a bit tired that’s all” Aaron tells her, making Wendy a bit suspicious. “I hope the bed is okay, I know it’s quite old but we can get you a new one if you like” Wendy suggests to him, wanting to make sure he feels at home. “It’s fine, I’m staying in your home you don’t need to run around doing everything for me” Aaron says, smiling faintly at her before sitting down at a table. Wendy stands for a moment watching him with worry, sighing before going to make him the bacon butty. Tara is walking along Digital Lane heading towards the Gibson house, before one of her shopping bags rips and food items begin falling out, while Jasmine is standing at the door of her home watching, She groans to herself, putting down the other bags and then beginning to pick it up when Jasmine rushes over, attempting to help her. “I don’t need your help thanks” Tara snaps, avoiding eye contact with her as Jasmine sighs and slowly kneels down beside her while holding her baby bump. “Come on, it’s the least I can do after what happened. I want to help you in any way I can” Jasmine insists, however Tara doesn’t buy it. “And since when did you become the mother Teresa of this street?” Tara remarks sarcastically, picking up the items and putting them into other bags. “Trust me, I’m no mother Teresa but the least I can do is try and make things right, it’s basically all my fault for the way things happened…I shouldn’t have forced you to tell Karl until you were ready, I don’t even know what I was thinking” Jasmine explains to her, causing Tara to come round and accept her apology. “I guess I should be thanking you, I mean if it wasn’t for that deadline I properly still wouldn’t have told him and I would be without a proper dad right now” Tara replies, smiling faintly at her as Jasmine breathes a sigh of relief. “So we’re okay?” Jasmine says, as they both get back onto their feet. “Sure” Tara smiles at her, causing Jasmine to smile back at her as she helps her by taking some of the bags.
Daniel is standing at the reception in Planet Fitness working when Ella comes through the automatic doors pushing the pram with Noah inside. “I’ve been meaning to call you, I found this online and I thought it might help your mum, it’s a grievance counselor” Daniel informs her, bringing her behind the desk to show her the website. “I think it’s about a lot more than just gran’s death now, with the break in happening” Ella sighs, brushing her hair back stressfully. “Well the counselor also does normal types of counseling, he’s got some really good reviews from people who were in the same position as Andrea…I think this would be really good for her” Daniel insists that Ella tells Andrea about the counselor, which Ella comes round to the idea of. “I guess I could speak to her about it, if this guy is as good as you say he is then hopefully she can get back to her old self sooner rather than later” Ella says, leaning her head on Daniel’s shoulder as he places his hand on her shoulder supportively. “She’ll get through this, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel” Daniel convincingly says, before kissing her forehead softly. “Yeah well I think our light has been switched off” Ella remarks, wrapping her arms around Daniel’s neck as he does the same to her waist and the two stand hugging each other tightly. Andrea is standing in the kitchen ironing when Keith comes into the room in his police uniform, just on a break. “Well you’ll be happy to hear they’ve got the guy who broke in, apparently he’s been doing the rounds in the area and they caught him breaking into some old woman’s house. Funnily enough, he’s never had enough time to take anything…not a very good robber ey?” Keith informs Andrea of the situation, who is completely taken aback. “I got the fright of my life this morning, the back door was left wide open!” Andrea tells him, as Keith nods at her. “That was me, I went out for some fresh air but you ended up locking me out!” Keith laughs, making light of the situation. “Be more careful, it’s not safe out there” Andrea says, causing Keith to look at her confused. “Andrea they’ve got the guy who done this, there is nothing else to worry about” Keith tells her, looking baffled at her while she stops ironing. “Yes, well there’s plenty more of them out there isn’t there?” Andrea snaps at him, causing Keith to heavily sigh to himself, knowing something isn’t right with her.
“Thank you, I’ll sign for it” Amelia says to the delivery guy, handing her Christine’s wedding dress in a dress cover, as Amelia signs the paper with her signature. “It’s here!” Amelia shrieks excitedly, shutting the door and then walking into the living room to put it down on the sofa. “I’m so nervous, what if I don’t like it anymore?” Christine says, covering her mouth worriedly as Amelia rolls her eyes. “Well if you don’t like it anymore then we’ll just go back and sort something else out, stop fussing! Remember I was there so there’s no doubt this dress will be fabulous” Amelia says in a convincing voice, as Christine begins to unzip the cover to unveil the dress inside. She opens it up and takes a step back, smiling uncontrollably as she looks at it. “It’s absolutely stunning” Christine says, breathing a sigh of relief. “I told you there was nothing to worry about” Amelia laughs, flipping her hair to one side as she does so. “Well go on then! Go try it on!” Amelia says, causing Christine to smile before lifting up the dress and rushing upstairs to put it on. Amelia stands breathing a sigh of relief, smiling to herself as she is clearly happy for her sister. It cuts to Ryan sitting in the kitchen of the Bolen house when Abby walks in, looking at him confused when she sees him. “And you’re here because…” Abby says, opening up the fridge and taking out a carton of orange juice. “Christine’s wedding dress is getting delivered today so she wanted me out the way” Ryan tells her, causing Abby to laugh. “She doesn’t believe all that superstitions stuff does she?” Abby asks, pouring herself a glass of the orange juice as Ryan nods at her. “That’s what I said, but it’s best just to listen instead of protesting” Ryan replies, causing Abby to giggle a little as she sips her drink. “Well I’ll say one thing, it’ll be nice to finally have some happiness in this family. It is well overdue” Abby admits, making Ryan nod at her in agreement. “We’ll be setting a new record too once we’re married for the next couple of years, marriages don’t usually last long in this family” Ryan remarks, referring to Maria and Jamie’s wedding as Abby raises her eyebrow. Christine is standing staring at herself in the mirror, admiring her wedding dress as she does so. She twirls around and smiles, flipping her hair back as she does numerous different poses. She breathes a sigh of relief as she knows it is the perfect wedding dress for her wedding day.
“You didn’t have to unpack the bags for me Jasmine” Karl says, sitting down at the dining table as Jasmine puts the last of the food away in the fridge. “Trust me I did, I owed you both” Jasmine says as Tara comes into the room, smiling at her. “I think Jasmine should do some cleaning actually, you know…the second stage of getting me to forgive her?” Tara says in a joking way, making everyone laugh at the joke. “Me and cleaning don’t mix well” Jasmine says, sitting down at the dining table with them as she does so. It cuts to outside, where a black cab parks up outside the Gibson house. Elaine steps out and takes her suitcase with her, before handing the driver the fare. She breathes in the winter air, looking around the Lane as the taxi drives off. She breathes in and then out, trying to prepare herself as she begins walking up the pathway leading to the door. She approaches the door and is about to knock, before hesitating. “If I know him that well he will have left the door unlocked” Elaine says, before turning the door knob and opening the door, causing her to shake her head and laugh. She enters the house and takes her coat off, before hearing the laughing coming from the kitchen. She listens closely, before walking towards the door and entering, much to Jasmine, Karl and Tara’s shock. “Elaine! I didn’t think-“ Karl says, standing up from his seat and staring at her in complete shock, unable to finish his sentence as a result. “I think we have some things we should discuss” Elaine says in a cold tone, staring at them all while each of them look back at her in total and utter shock still. Aaron is slowly walking along the business district, heading back to Digital Lane when Finn walks by him. “Aaron mate we’re all going to Andie and Dean’s tonight if you want to come, it’s short notice but it’s only for an hour or so just to relax” Finn informs him, however Aaron doesn’t even notice him as he keeps on walking down the street. “Aaron!” Finn raises his voice, causing Aaron to turn around, acting totally oblivious to what is going on. “Are you alright mate?” Finn asks, as Aaron nods at him confused. “What is it with everyone asking me that today? I’m fine!” Aaron replies in a quite angry tone, turning around and walking down the street quickly as Finn stands with a confused expression on his face.
“Elaine I’m so-“ Tara speaks up first, however Elaine stops her from speaking. “I want to speak first” Elaine tells her, looking at her coldly as Tara slowly nods and looks away awkwardly. “I should leave you all to it” Jasmine says, standing up and putting her coat back on. “I stand by what I said Jasmine, I do forgive you for what happened…if I was in your shoes I wouldn’t have told me, it wasn’t your place…I was just angry” Elaine explains to her, smiling faintly at her causing Jasmine to breathe a sigh of relief as she goes to give her a friendly hug. “I’ll come round later and we can have a proper catch up, there’s probably loads I’ve missed” Elaine smiles, as Jasmine nods and leaves the house. “Elaine…” Karl says, but Elaine once again says she wants to speak first. “I’m not angry about your secret Tara so please don’t think that…I mean I’m happy for Karl, he has a daughter that he can actually call his own, not my son who was never actually his” Elaine starts off, while both Karl and Tara listen intently to her. “I’d take a guess that over the past month you both have probably bonded a lot which is great. I don’t regret leaving like that, I couldn’t handle it…I know I wouldn’t be able to handle all the pain and to be honest the pain of just hearing you both laughing right now was enough to make me turn around and go back to Brussels right now” Elaine explains further to them, as Karl lifts his head up and looks at her sympathetically. “Tara could you please give us a minute?” Karl asks her, as Tara nods slowly and leaves the room, shutting the door behind her. “Karl…I just don’t know how we’re supposed to move past this, you tried to kiss someone else, you didn’t even think about how much it would hurt me did you?” Elaine continues to speak, while Karl puts his head into his hands stressfully. “It was a moment of weakness Elaine, I would never ever cheat on you with someone else! You know how much I love you and if I didn’t would I really have been trying to get in contact with you for the past month?” Karl speaks up to her, as Elaine folds her arms and looks away, she can’t even bare to look at him right now.
