Digital Spy caught up with Digital Lane star Tom Lister and he spoke about his role as Mark Young on the soap. He also teased us about the big reveal on Christmas Day about his wife's affair with his brother. Also, he told us some teasers for the Young families 2014.

Hey Tom! How does it feel to be back in another soap opera after your Emmerdale departure?

Hey DS. It's really exciting to be back on a soap, I just love my job! Especially when I am so lucky to get to work with amazing actors and actresses on both soaps.

Fans have been intrigued by the Young family, they are very different from the others on the lane, is that why people are liking them so much?

I'm not sure. But I really enjoy working with my on-screen family, little Isobelle has so much potential for when she is older! She is a dream on-screen child to have. My on-screen wife Kate is also amazing and we always have a laugh on set. Ben, my on-screen brother is like a real brother to me. Again, always a laugh on set.

So what about the big reveal on Christmas Day? What is going through Mark's head when he finds out? How does he find out?

The big reveal is very exciting! All sorts is going through Mark's head when he finds out, 'how could she sleep with my brother', 'how could he sleep with my wife', 'I'm going to kill him', thoughts like that go through his head. I can't say how he finds out sadly, but it's quite unique, and also little Rose makes a discovery soon.

Sounds great! What about 2014 for the Youngs?

Again can't say much, but what I can say is nothing will be the same, no matter how hard they try.

Digital Lane | Wednesday 18th December | Winter Block

Stephanie and Sandy walk up and down the lane on neighbourhood watch duty. They smile at the moonlight shining on them as Stephanie asks if she has seen Dwayne. Sandy tells her Dwayne is gone for good, there isn’t any going back. Stephanie asks her why they have broke up and Sandy reveals all to her about the forced abortion. Stephanie is speechless until her leadership mind takes over as she picks up a plastic bottle and complains about the littering. She walks up to Christine’s bin and sees the headline. She takes the ripped article out of the bin and looks at the date. ’12 November 2011’ it reads. She folds it up and puts it in her coat pocket and goes back to a cold Sandy.

THE NEXT DAY

Luisa stands looking out onto the lane with her coffee when she is grabbed by the waist and kissed on the neck by Peter. She pours coffee all over him and tells him that he needs to stop. Peter smirks and tells her they will soon be together and walks out. Luisa stands confused at the statement.

Sandy walks into Gracie’s room and asks her if she wants to go anywhere today but Gracie tells her she isn’t in the mood. Sandy goes and sits on the end of her bed and tells her that Dwayne isn’t coming back. Gracie sighs and tells her she doesn’t want their marriage to end over this. Sandy tells her that what he did is unforgiveable before walking out sighing.

Stephanie looks at the article and looks out the window at Christine’s house scared. Jamie walks in and asks her what’s wrong. She takes another look at Christine’s house and tells her nothing is wrong before walking into the kitchen. Jamie looks at her suspiciously but makes nothing of it and walks upstairs.

Luisa and Mark are in the department store shopping when they begin to talk about Mark and Peter’s mother. “How about this for your mother?” Luisa laughs as she shows Mark a whoopee cushion. It doesn’t go down well with Mark. Luisa asks him what is wrong with him. Mark tells her something isn’t right. Luisa nervously asks what is wrong. Mark tells her something doesn’t feel right anymore as he walks away. Luisa stands nervously reflecting on her secret.

Dwayne lies on the bed watching daytime tv when there is a knock on the hotel door. He gets up and answers. Maria Bolen is standing in a flattering short red dress with a bottle of wine in her hand. She shoves her way in and takes a seat on the bed. Dwayne tells her she needs to go now but she refuses and laughs while pouring a glass of wine. Dwayne tells her that what happened was a one off but Maria tells him it was much more than that. Dwayne notices the engagement ring on her finger and asks why she is here if she is engaged to Jamie. Maria tells him that she loves Jamie but she prefers the sex from Dwayne and chuckles. Suddenly there is banging at the door. “Dwayne Foster answer the door, now!” Sandy screams. Dwayne panics as Maria sits calmly. “Get in the wardrobe go go go!” Dwayne tells Maria. Maria climbs into the walk in wardrobe and hides. Dwayne puts the glasses under the bed and answers the door.

“How can I help?” Dwayne asks Sandy. Sandy pushes her way in and looks at the state of the hotel room. She stands disgusted as she asks how many women he has had in there. Maria lets out a slight laugh in the wardrobe. Dwayne tells her he has been alone the whole time. Sandy glares at him and tells him she isn’t stupid. Dwayne looks down at the floor. “I only came because Gracie wants us to give it another try. So come home when you’re ready. I can’t promise anything.” She says as she walks out the hotel room.

The episode ends with Stephanie standing in front of Christine’s house with the article in her hand as she approaches it on a wet and dark night.

Christine's about to be caught out! Or will she?

5 suspects have been revealed today as part of the 'Nosy Neighbours' campaign for Digital Lane's explosion at the New Year.

As previously announced, in a dramatic turn of events, Ant Henderson (Richard Wisker) will set alight the Henderson home after a heated argument between him and Rachel Henderson (Linda Henry). When Ant lights the match, he drops it onto the gas he has already laid on the ground setting the Henderson house alight. There will then be a massive explosion with heated liquor bottles as the cafe's liquor delivery was put into Rachel's house as Wendy wasn't there for the delivery.


However more details have been released today, telling us 5 suspects that are 'Nosy Neighbours', each have their own reason for being involved, however only 2 will be affected.

Maria Bolen - Roxanne Pallett

What would Maria want at the Hendersons? Unless she is turning lesbian we can't see her ever being there. Maybe a change of heart? Or maybe a friendship on the horizon that could kill her...

Elaine Gibson - Tanya Franks

Well this is obvious isn't it? Our local gossip will obviously be doing her nosy around the Henderson house, especially when there is shouting! Or will she be involved? Who knows, you'll have to wait and see.

Jasmine Feather - Samantha Womack

What would Jasmine be doing at the Henderson home? Why would she be interested in what is going on? Maybe she's returning 'borrowed' sugar from 2 years ago just so she can listen in.

Brad Foster - Luke Youngblood

So the downfall of Brad Foster continues. Will he be involved in the argument? What would he want with the Hendersons? Well Ant only went and made his little sister Gracie pregnant, maybe that's why...

Eve Barrett - Claire Cooper

Maybe it's mysterious Eve who hasn't been featured much since Digital Lane began? Maybe it's time for her to take centre stage...

Reports coming from Digital Lane studios suggested Jenna-Louise Coleman, who plays Abby Bolen on the soap, will be taking a break from the soap. Now, Jenna-Louise confirmed her break on social media site Twitter. She tweeted:

Just finished filming until September 2014! I will be back for the 1 year anniversary and I will come back in dramatic fashion. Stay tuned, January 2014 is one to watch for Abby Bolen!

Storyline details of her temporary departure are being kept under wraps until aired, however bosses have promised it will live up to expectations.

Abby will return on screen in November, and Jenna-Louise will return to filming in September.

Digital Lane | Friday 20th December | Winter Block

Stephanie nervously knocks on Christine’s door and waits for the door to be opened. Christine comes out of the kitchen and walks to the front door and answers. “I’d like a word, Christine.” Stephanie tells her. Christine looks at her confused and lets her in.

The Young family are sitting in the living room when Rose walks in and shows her parents the Christmas book she got at school. Luisa tells her to go and put it in her bookshelf for later. Peter smirks. Mark kisses Luisa on the cheek before he goes out to see Jamie and Dwayne. He asks Peter if he wants to come but Peter declines and looks at Luisa as Mark heads out. Luisa points to the suitcase in the corner and glares at him.

Christine asks Stephanie if there is something she can help her with and Stephanie tells her there certainly is. Stephanie takes out the article and hands it to Christine. “Hello Penelope.” Stephanie cheekily says. Christine sits stunned at being reminded of her real name. “Penelope is my twin sister.” Christine quickly says. “Don’t lie to me dear. She looks identical to you. Tell me the truth about what you did” Stephanie demands. Christine sits quietly and tries to think of something to say. Stephanie sits awaiting a reply. “Tell me the truth!” Stephanie shouts. “It was self defense! Okay. I didn’t mean to do it. It just happened. I had to run.” Christine shouts at Stephanie. Stephanie stands shocked. “Why would your sister try to kill you? Absolute rubbish. You’re a murderer and you need to be behind bars.” Christine tells her it wasn’t her fault. Stephanie glares at her while demanding she hands herself in. “I can’t do that! I’d never survive in there.” Christine says upsettingly. Stephanie starts to feel sympathy for her.

Sandy walks into Brads room and tells him she needs a word. Brad puts his phone down and asks what’s up. Sandy takes out a bag from the hallway and puts it on Brad’s floor. “I need you to go for a while. The police are starting to narrow down the possible driver that ran over Jake Potter.” Sandy tells him as she packs his clothes into a bag. Brad tells her he is scared and Sandy tells him that she will do anything in her power to keep him safe.

Rose stands at her bookshelf looking for a book to read. She picks out the ‘Cinderella’ book and sits on her bed and opens it. She starts to read it and when she turns the page there is a note sitting in it. She opens it up and starts reading the writing. Her jaw begins to drop.

Sandy walks downstairs to find Dwayne cooking. She smiles and goes and sits on the couch when a text comes up on Dwayne’s phone. Instead of a Caller ID it is just a number and the text says ‘Really enjoy ur company babe. Call me soon.’ Sandy is furious and gets up off the couch and goes up to Dwayne. She knees him in the private parts and tells him to get out of her home now. Dwayne shouts in pain and Sandy glares before going upstairs furious.

“What are you going to do?” Christine asks while wiping away her tears. Stephanie doesn’t reply. “I didn’t mean to do it. It just sort of happened. Please don’t go to the police.” Christine says. “Don’t tell me what to do.” Stephanie says as she gets up and walks out. Christine rushes to the front door and asks her what is she going to do then. “I don’t know.” Stephanie says as she walks away nervously.

The episode ends with a scared Brad Foster walking down Digital Lane and a thinking Stephanie Collins on the other side of the road on a dark and wet Friday night.

Digital Lane bosses have announced that Michael Parr, known for playing Ross Barton on ITV's Emmerdale will be joining the soap as the fourth and final sibling of the Bolen family, Ryan Bolen.

Ryan Bolen is the youngest of the siblings and will arrive on Digital Lane shortly after his onscreen sister Abby's temporary departure. Details of his arrival are being kept under wraps as it will spoil another storyline currently running but it has been promised to be a normal arrival but holds a lot of potential for the future.

Parr is joining Charlie Brooks as Jessica Bolen who is also a newcomer Bolen on the lane.

Producer SoapAddict has said of the casting, "I am so happy to have Michael (Parr) join us at Digital Lane. It is only the beginning of the Bolen family and I can't wait for their little brother to arrive! He is an interesting character and viewers will see that over the coming months after his arrival in strange circumstances."

Digital Lane | Monday 23 December | Winter Block

7:00pm – 7:30pm

Frankie lies on the hospital bed still in her coma as Wendy and Jack sit by her bed sleeping having spent the night. “Last time I was awake I had literally seen everything. Drugs being exchanged. A rich bitch moving in and of course being strangled in my own garden. It’s almost a month since I have seen daylight. It’s about time I see it.” Frankie says as a voice over as she suddenly opens her eyes after finishing.

Christine sits on her bed wide-awake after not sleeping. She shakes as she picks up her phone to check for a text. She sighs as she gets up and looks over to the Collins house.

Stephanie quietly sits on the dining chair, alone with her thoughts. Sophie comes in with 2 cups of coffee and hands one to her mother. “What’s wrong? Your so pale!” Sophie says as she sits down and takes a sip of her coffee. “I don’t know whether to protect a friend or do what is right.” Stephanie replies. Sophie sighs and tells her “Go with your heart. That’s what you always told me to do.” Stephanie smiles at her daughter and drinks her coffee. “Now come on! We have a Christmas party to organise for tomorrow!” Sophie says smiling.

Frankie lies with her eyes opened before putting her head up and looking around. “Nan? Grandpa?” Frankie says. Wendy wakes up and is stunned to see Frankie awake. “Dear? Are you alight? Oh my word!” Wendy says as she rushes to get help. “Jack open your damn eyes!” She shouts as she comes back in with a nurse. The nurse checks over Frankie before telling Wendy and Jack that she is definitely out of the coma. Wendy and Jack jump with excitement.

A nervous Christine walks up and down the living room constantly looking outside for police. She goes to the kitchen and pours herself a glass of red wine and sighs.

Sophie hangs up a ‘Merry Christmas’ banner and smiles at how Christmassy the room looks. Stephanie tells her thanks for cheering her up before walking upstairs and grabbing her mobile phone. She looks at Christine’s texts and sighs before texting back ‘It’s okay. For now.’

The car pulls into the Cole house driveway and Frankie gets out taking in the fresh air after she was cleared to leave the hospital. “It’s been so long.” She tells her grandmother. “Me and your grandfather have been there everyday since it happened dear, we will make sure it never happens again.” Wendy replies. Jack tells her that he will do anything in his power to protect her. Frankie smiles as she looks over to see Drew and Andie sitting on the bench talking. Frankie tells them both she needs to do something before quickly and nervously walking over to them both. Drew gets up and kisses Frankie but she pushes him away. “I’ve not forgotten what you done that day Drew, my mind is still intact.” Frankie tells him. “Is there something wrong?” Andie asks. “Yes there is and if you don’t mind can you leave us to it.” Frankie tells Andie. “No need to be so rude about it.” Andie says as she glares at Frankie before walking off. Frankie tells Drew she wants to know everything but Drew tells her he doesn’t want her to get involved. “Fine then Drew. You deal with your problems yourself.” Frankie says before walking off angry.

Christine walks downstairs happy with Stephanie’s decision when she notices that a bit of paper has came through the door. She nervously picks it up and opens it and it reads ‘Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Time is running out Penelope. Enjoy it while it lasts.’

Digital Lane | Tuesday 24th December (Part 1) | Winter Block

7:00pm – 8:00pm

Jasmine stands on her doorstep looking out onto Digital Lane as snow begins to fall on Christmas Eve. She lets out a slight smile before going back inside. Christine sits staring at the note while packing her bags. Maria and Abby are doing their make up at the dresser, smiling at each other. Stephanie is putting finishing touches to the Christmas Party preparations when Jamie walks in.

“Can Maria come tonight? I know you don’t like her but she’s the love of my life.” Jamie tells his mother. “Love of your life! That was a good one Jamie.” Sophie cheekily says as she walks into the living room. “Fine, but I will not be speaking to her. She is a snake and your only going to end up with a broken heart.” Stephanie tells him. Jamie sighs and grabs his coat and walks out. Sophie tells her mother that it is the perfect opportunity to deal with Maria once and for all. Stephanie tells her she doesn’t want any trouble.

Mark tells Luisa that he is going to go see his mother for a while and that he will be back tonight. Luisa smiles and kisses her husband and tells her to tell his mother Merry Christmas. Mark laughs and walks out. Rose slowly comes downstairs and looks at her mother strangely. “Something wrong dear?” Luisa asks. “No.” Rose says before running back upstairs. Luisa looks confused as she walks into the kitchen.

Christine is packing clothes into suitcases and putting items into bags when there is a knock at the door. She walks downstairs and slowly opens the door to find Abby Bolen at her door. She lets out a huge sigh of relief and asks what she wants. “Are you coming to the party tonight? It’s going to be huge!” Abby says. Christine tells her she won’t be able to go as she is going away for Christmas. Abby shoves her way in and asks where she is going while looking around. Christine tells her she is going to her sisters. “You have a sister? What’s her name?” Abby asks. Christine stand nervously and quickly lies. “Natalie, Natalie Walker.” Christine says as she smiles. “Oh, nice name. Well I’ll leave you too it.” Abby says before walking out.

Night falls and the neighbours are all coming in their numbers to the Collins Christmas Party. Stephanie greets Elaine and Karl at the door and tells them to have fun. Rachel and Natalie arrive and Stephanie looks at them strangely but lets them in anyway. Inside, Jasmine is standing with Elena talking about the other neighbours when Elaine comes over and tells her she may want to make sure she listens to her announcement later on. Jasmine glares confused as Elaine smugly walks off. Frankie walks in nervously with her grandparents and everyone stares at her. Sophie walks over and hugs her and tells her she hopes everything is okay. Frankie looks at her weirdly and shouts that she isn’t a psychopath and everything is fine. Everyone smiles and gets back to their conversations. Frankie sighs and walks into the kitchen to get a drink.

Luisa is doing her makeup for the party when Peter walks in and kisses her cheek. Luisa pushes him away and slaps him. “I’ve told you that what we did will never happen again! Stay away from me.” She shouts. Peter tells her he can’t help himself and Luisa tells him that he will have too or she will get rid of him for good. Peter tells her that the love they share is more real than any love she has ever shared with Mark. “What love? It was a mistake! Nothing more. Don’t get your hopes up because I will never be with you.” She shouts. Peter glares at her.

Over at the Collins, the party is in full swing and everyone is having a good time. Oliver walks in the door and greets his mother and stepfather before winking at Jasmine. Jasmine smiles and Elena asks if there is something going on there. “Possibly” Jasmine teases. “Perfect timing son. I have an announcement to make! Hold on.” Elaine says. Oliver asks Karl what the announcement is and he tells him that he doesn’t have a clue. In the kitchen, Maria is pouring vodka into a glass when Sophie walks in. “So, you haven’t listened to me then?” Sophie asks Maria. “I’m not going anywhere Sophie, so accept that your brother loves me and move on.” Maria angrily says. Sophie tells her that it will never last and her brother will listen to her. “Doubt it.” Maria cheekily says. Sophie grabs Maria’s wrist and tells her that she better watch her back. Maria glares and tells her she isn’t scared of her. Sophie tells her she should be scared and cheekily smiles. In the living room, Elaine shouts that she has an announcement to make. Andie and Drew stand laughing in the corner. “Everyone, you all know my son Oliver is obviously a very good looking boy.” Elaine says and everyone lets out a little laugh. Oliver looks at his mother confused. “Well, a certain resident has taken advantage of my son! Miss Jasmine Feather, explain yourself.” Elaine says sarcastically. Jasmine glares before grabbing a glass of water and slowly approaching Elaine. Oliver asks his mother why she would do that and Elaine laughs. Jasmine throws the glass of water all over Elaine and everyone gasps. “How dare you!” Elaine shouts. “You will wish you hadn’t done that.” Jasmine says as she angrily walks out the Collins house. Oliver follows her, looking at his mother disappointed.

Christine finishes up packing and looks at the same old photo of her and her sisters and mother. A tear drops onto it as she folds it and puts it in her pocket and takes her suitcase downstairs.

Jasmine stands at the tree next to her house furious. Oliver walks over and tells her he is so sorry for what his mother did. Jasmine tells him that it isn’t his fault, it’s his stupid mothers fault. Oliver walks over and hugs Jasmine telling her he loves her. Jasmine smiles and kisses him. Elaine watches angrily from the Collins house window.

“How can you say what we had is just a fling! I love you Luisa and I will do anything to be with you.” Peter shouts. “I don’t want you Peter! Accept it! There is no us!” Luisa shouts before walking downstairs. Peter shouts that he will tell Mark everything. Luisa turns around and says “You wouldn’t dare. He would kill you.” “I don’t care! If I can’t have you no one can.” Peter says. Mark comes through the front door with presents for Rose. Luisa fake smiles at him while flipping her hair. “How’s your mother then?” She asks as she walks into the kitchen with Mark, she turns around and glares at Peter.

Christine takes a final look around the house to check for things when there is another knock at the door. She slowly goes to open it and says “What is it this time Abby?” The figure turns around and is revealed to be Angela Walker, Christine’s mother. “Abby? I’m your flaming mother.” She says.

DIGITAL LANE CONTINUES 9PM.

“Aren’t you going to invite me in?” Angela asks. Christine stands motionless staring at her mother. “It’s bloody freezing out here!” Angela says as she shoves her way in. “What are you doing here? How did you find me?” Christine nervously asks. Angela tells her that she has been searching for over 3 years and she has now finally found her and she isn’t getting away easily. Christine tells her that what happened was a massive mistake but Angela denies it and says “You tried to con your own sister out of 3 thousand pounds! Then you go and push her over boat on the cruise!” Angela shouts. “You know it wasn’t like that. She went for me, I had no intention of killing her. You’re a liar and a hypocrite. Remember what you did to dad before the ‘getaway’ cruise?” Christine asks. Angela stands glaring at her daughter.

Luisa and Mark are giggling like school children as they kiss on the couch. Rose sadly looks at them both, knowing the truth. “Dad. Can you read me a story before bed?” Rose asks. “Sure! Go on upstairs and I’ll be up soon.” Mark tells her. Luisa smiles at Rose as she walks out the room but Rose avoids looking at her.

“Don’t even go there. You know I had to do it.” Angela shouts. “Kill my dad then stick the body in an old freezer?! You didn’t need to do that you’re just a vile woman.” Christine replies. Angela slaps Christine and tells her to have some respect and that she knows what he put her through. “You know I would have never had to go on the run if you didn’t get me involved in your schemes too!” Christine shouts. “You killed my beloved daughter, you need to be punished.” Angela says. “If I go down, your going down with me.” Christine cheekily says. “You really are my daughter aren’t you.” Angela says as she smirks.

Rose tucks herself into bed as Mark picks out a book to read to her. “Pick Cinderella Daddy.” Rose says. Mark takes out the book and sits down next to her bed to read it too her. Rose looks at her dad scared as he opens the book. The note falls out and Mark looks at it strangely before picking it up. He opens it and it reads in messy handwriting,

I’ve been sleeping with your wife and she has loved every second of it. Your marriage is dead Mark. Accept it and move on.

Peter.

Mark hands Rose the book and tells her he has to go do something. Rose looks at her dad scared as he walks out the door. Luisa is putting Rose’s presents under the tree as Peter watches until Mark storms in and punches Peter in the face. Luisa rushes over and tells him to stop. “Oh is that because you don’t want a face covered in blood to kiss tonight?” Mark shouts in Luisa’s face. Luisa stands stunned. “What are you talking about?” Luisa asks an angry Mark. “You both sleeping together. Yes dear I know.” Mark shouts. Peter tells him it was a one off but Mark tells him that isn’t what the note says. “What note?” Luisa shouts. Mark throws the note at Luisa in anger while attacking his brother again and she reads it. “What were you thinking Peter! Are you stupid?” She shouts. Mark tells Luisa to shut up and pushes her into the storage cupboard and locks it. Luisa bangs on the door screaming and shouting as Mark escorts Peter out of the house and out to a snowy lane.

“What are you going to do then? Get me locked up? Because I will get you locked up for what you did too.” Christine says to her mother. “You sneaky little cow!” Angela shouts. “Only you saw what I did to my sister, it’s my word against yours.” Christine says. “Where as me and Erin saw what you did to our dad, if Ellie was still alive she would back us up. You need to pay for what you did.” Christine says. “So do you!” Angela shouts. “As I said, if I go down, your going down with me.” Christine whispers. Angela glares at her.

Mark pushes Peter into the car and they drive out of the lane. Maria and Abby are crossing the road talking about Maria’s engagement to Jamie. “Don’t you think things are moving a bit quickly?” Abby says to her sister. “Of course not! We love each other and that is all we need.” Maria says. Abby tells her that she knows she has been cheating on him with Dwayne. Maria asks her how does she know and Abby tells her she might want to lock her phone next time and strolls into the house. Maria follows her, denying everything.

“I won’t go to the police about you if you don’t go to them about me.” Christine says. Angela tells her she would rather rot in prison than let her have freedom and picks up the phone. Christine looks at her mother worried. Angela begins to sweat and goes pale. Christine looks at her mother strangely and asks if she is feeling okay. Angela tells her everything is fine while shaking. Angela suddenly drops the phone and grabs her chest. “Help me…” She says as she falls to the floor. Christine screams and picks up the phone and calls 999.

Mark stops the car at the ferry depot. He hands money to Peter and tells him to go and start a new life. “What? Why would you give me money for that?” Peter says. “You’re my brother, we always get through stuff like this. I’m still angry at you but I want you to go before I do something I regret.” Mark tells his brother as he points to the car door. Peter gets out of the car and stands in the snow as he watches his brother drive off into the darkness. Peter takes a deep breath and says “A new life. A fresh start. A new Peter.” Peter takes one last look back before walking towards the ferry.

Christine tries to revive her mother but she gets no reply. “Mum! Please stay! I know we hate each other’s guts but I don’t want you to go! Not like this!” She shouts. An unconscious Angela lies there. Christine starts to get tired while doing CPR and there is no reaction from Angela. The blue flashing lights arrive outside and Christine rushes to open the door and screams at them to get in faster. Christine cries as they try to revive her. The neighbours come out in their numbers to see what is going on. “Time of death, 00:00am.” The paramedic says. Christine runs out crying and goes over to hug Stephanie. Stephanie looks at Angela’s body stunned as it comes out the house. “Merry Christmas.” A drunken Elaine says as she holds a glass of wine in her hands.

Andie walks along the pathway leading to the lane with a present in her hand addressed to Frankie. She has a massive smile on her face as she walks down the path being followed by a figure. She turns around and says “Hello!” to the figure. “How are you?” She says. The figure doesn’t speak and grabs her by the neck and strangles her to the ground then runs for it. Andie lies on the snow motionless and unconscious.

CHRISTMAS DAY

"Face it your caught! It's over Penelope. Admit it." A woman shouts at Christine/Penelope. "No that wasn't my intentions! You have got it all wrong!" Christine/Penelope shouts at her. Angela angrily looks at Christine from behind the woman. The woman goes for Christine and Christine shoves her off and pushes her into the sea. It cuts to Christine suddenly opening her eyes in the guest bed in the Collins house. She starts heavy breathing as she looks around the room and takes a heavy sigh realising it was just a dream.

Stephanie comes downstairs with presents for her children and husband as the Christmas spirit is alive in the house. "Shouldn't we wake up Christine?" Sophie asks. "No, leave her. She has had a hard day yesterday." A sympathetic Stephanie says as she kisses Charlie on the cheek as she hands him his present.

Luisa quietly sits on the couch watching her daughter open her presents, awaiting her husband to come home from last night. "Mummy, what where you doing in the cupboard last night?" Rose asks. "Just playing, doesn't matter." Luisa says as she looks out the window looking for Mark.

A hungover Elaine walks along the path struggling to keep up with Karl. "Why are you making me walk?!" Elaine moans. "Will do you some good. You need to sober up before we go to my parents later on." Karl tells her. "Walking won't make me sober up! It will make me tired." Elaine groans as she falls flat on her face. Karl turns around and laughs as he helps her up. Elaine face freezes as she stares ahead. "What's up?" Karl says as he turns around. They both run to an unconscious Andie and Elaine screams to phone an ambulance.

Christine slowly comes down the stairs and watches as the Collins laugh and smile. Stephanie turns around to see her and her face slowly drops. Christine rushes down the stairs and grabs her coat and goes out the house. Stephanie sighs as she goes to pick up her coat and follows her.

The Bolen Sisters and Eve sit and open their presents laughing and smiling when Jamie walks in and kisses Maria. He tells her Merry Christmas and hands her a present. Maria tells him they agreed they wouldn't buy each other things. He tells her that she deserves it for helping him through the year. Eve happily sighs as Abby rolls her eyes with jealousy.

"Christine stop!" Stephanie shouts as she follows Christine in a park. "Look I know how hard this is." Stephanie says. "You don't know anything! My mother had a heart attack and died on the spot!" Christine interrupts. Christine feels instantly bad and tells her sorry. "It's alright. I know that you want to be alone. Follow me." Stephanie says as she walks in the opposite direction. Christine follows taking the snow out of her hair.

Andie lies in the hospital bed, conscious after the doctors managed to get her to regain consciousness. Elaine slowly walks in and smiles. "Is there anyone I can call? A mother maybe?" Elaine asks. "No thanks." Andie replies. "I'm sure she would like to know." Elaine says. "No! Leave it." Andie angrily snaps. "The police will want to speak to you about what happened." Elaine says. "Whatever." Andie says. "Alright I know you've went through a lot but there's no need to be so damn cheeky." Elaine tells her. "Just go! I want to be alone!" Andie shouts. Elaine quietly walks out as Andie starts to breathe heavily.

Luisa stares at the raw turkey and sighs. "Where's daddy?" Rose asks. "I don't know." Luisa says. "I hope he's home soon, he's missing out." Rose says as she walks back into the living room. Luisa takes out the knife and stabs it into the turkey and growls before bursting into tears.

Stephanie walks into a graveyard and a confused Christine follows. Stephanie stops at a headstone which reads 'Christopher Collins 1985 - 2012'. "This is my son. He died in a car crash that we were all involved in." An upset Stephanie says. "I'm so sorry." Christine tells her. "I miss him so much. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about him." Stephanie tells her. Christine asks her why she is telling her this and Stephanie tells her that she needs to grieve or else she will never get over the death of her mother. Christine smiles and thanks Stephanie for everything before telling her she is going to leave the Lane for a while. Stephanie tells her that is the right thing to do and hugs her. Christine walks off and Stephanie fixes the flower on the gravestone before smiling.

The episode ends with O'Holy Night (Leona Lewis) playing as Luisa sits with a bottle of wine drinking the whole lot. It cuts to a jealous Abby Bolen watching Jamie and Maria cuddled up on the sofa. It cuts to a crying Andie reading a booklet on 'Autism'. It cuts to Mark sitting in a pub drowning his sorrows. It then cuts to Christine hugging Stephanie before walking down the Lane, taking another look at her home as she walks down Digital Lane.

Great episode, like how it was centered around Christine and she and Stephanie have chemistry together.

That was such a sweet and emotional episode written superbly. The scenes with Christine and Stephanie were amazing and the autism storyline is superb
