Sophie has settled into a position around 5th or 6th in the pecking order and that's where she's being placed.

Not the first time Brendan's been in this predicament and no doubt he'll pull the same stunts he usually does.

Surely she has been settled there by the judges (and their marking)??? One leads to another. If any publicity (good or bad) is key then Sophie even stands a chance of making the final and winning it (if you look at the threads on this forum and the stench of fear from some).

Sophie dances with her arms and legs but the movement doesn't travel through her body with any fluidity.

That fluidity is what looks like 'connection' as in, partners bodies moving as one. She doesn't have it. The judges call it emoting, presence, whatever but I believe its this that is the root of her problems.

She moves her legs beautifully, but the movement does not reach her hips.

very true it is because the knee action is wrong so no natural hip movement there

Brendan didn't thow a tantrum at all, although I have with the rest of you seen the other threads which claim he did. I actually thought he was very controlled with his view, and quoted facts.

I also think Sophie is a lot better than they give her credit for, and seem rather blinkered with Natalie.

Had anyone else also noticed that last week they were dishing out 10's like sweeties, but this week they were being terribly harsh? I know that we only have four weeks to go, but even so I think the marked change is unfair, and unnecessary.”

I'm just watching it now (couldn't watch it last night) and I totally agree with you. I really don't like the Rumba (as a dance, I mean) but I liked Sophie & Brendan's. I thought it was very pretty and romantic.

The judges are being arses!

You're quite right. I'll fight to the last to keep it out of the Haynes repair manual and deep-sea diving.

To be fair, you'd expect a bit of excuberance in a charleston wouldn't you.

If I were a celeb I think having my pro willing to fight my corner would give me more reason to try harder for them. Brendan fitted the dance to Sophie rather than giving a sexy routine she would never have been comfortable with, and was then more than ready to defend that decision.

Round of applause for Brendan who was willing to stand up for his partner

Is Brendan on ITT today?
What name??

I don't think the rumba has to be smutty. My favourites have been romantic. But it should have fluidity and hip movement and Sophie's was lacking that. She always seems inhibited and to not quite connect or get the dance. I'm not sure what the issue us but there is one.

I thought the dance was lovely, despite lack of hip movement and funny hand, she carried the dance well and joy to watch.

By no mean I agree with Brendan, but Brendan Argue Back The Judges has become SCD tradition, nice to see that there's one thing hasn't changed from series1.

This is slightly frustrating that comment been made by Brendan was not an argument...
