Is it just me? I think Natalie has a lovely personality but the modern choice of music that Artem seems to love and the choreography leave me cold. I much prefer moments from all the other dancers....

Artem doesn't choose the music.

I've never seen Artem have chemistry with any of his partners tbh.
He's a wonderful dancer though.

I agree with Mia. Kara was over Artem like a rash but I never felt he was that "into" Kara. He's a very accomplished dancer but I don't think he cares much for his partners. It's all about him.

Rubbish - I am defending Artem out of all the Pro dancers I think he is the only one that really stands back and showcases all his partners in their dances.

Kara and Artem are still together as a couple so I think your opinion on that matter is way off line.

Look at Kara & Artem's 2nd dance, the foxtrot, after which Bruno said "the chemistry between you could power a nuclear station."
With other partners he needs to be a little more guarded or he'd be accused of cheating on Kara, and in Natalie's case she has had so many things cast up against her that she'd be accused of trying to steal Kara's man. A no win situation for them. I loved the tango tonight, but hated the music.

Couldn't agree less *shrug*.

Artem, of all the pros, makes the choreography about his partner. Sometimes it doesn't work, more often than not it does. He choreographs to his partner's strengths and will often temper his ideas to showcase the celeb better. He spent an awful lot of time choreographing skirt swishing for Fern, really don't think that was an aesthetic decision, but more that she just didn't finish her arm lines well.

Kara? Nope not even her IMO
He treated her like crap in training. And I never saw any spark.

Totally agree! I didn't click with the tango to be honest, for many reasons, but I do love Artem's creative, wonderful choreography which I think he uses to show off his partners.

Him and Kara definitely had chemistry, I thought they were just holding back on showing it too much in the show as they were in an awkward position it was mentioned so often.

Maybe I've read too much about how he worked his way up through the business by his connections with ladies whom he subsequently went on to ditch without a backward glance.

I still maintain it's all about him. All that elaborate twirling last night before the music started! Great dancer. Very ambitious.

I agree on YOUTUBE I saw a audition/rehearsal Video of Artim with his first wife, he was without the plastic teeth!! In my opinion looks much better!! He make it through the audition but his wife did not!!! They were both pro dancers and she was an American citizen which must have been very useful for Artim!!!

Last night I did not like the Tango, hated the Music and was shocked and amazed by the judges comments. This year I wonder if the judges are watching the same Programme as me!!!!! LOL. I loved Brendan's Rumba and think that Artim and Partner( sorry, cannot remember her Name) have been overmarked constantly.

The Russian teaching style is very traditional. He got the results. You saw no spark? Go to specsavers!

His name is Artem btw, and yes the judges are most likely watching a different show to you.

Carrie Ann Inaba had nothing but good things to say about him when their relationship ended. But don't let facts get in the way of your opinion when rubbishing someone.

I think Artem tries to be far too modern. I'd like to see something softer, it always seems angular and harsh.

I'm not sure the issue is Artem here. I think Natalie is a very competent dancer (yes probably the most technically adept) but is just a bit too showbizzy still. She's a bit like she is on stage performing a dance for us (which she is to some extent of course) but she also needs to be more 'in the moment' of dancing a glorious tango, waltz and connecting with her very attractive partner. I also wonder if her back injury is constraining her a bit. Her ballroom posture is lacking that extra stretch.

Yes that's it! She dances like those club singers who sing out of the corners of their mouths.

If Strictly is all about making progress, Natalie seems to be going backwards! Her earlier dances were much better than those of the past two weeks.

I would love one of the technical You-Tube whizzes to put their Tango to proper music as this was the major fault with it.

I always get a Glee vibe from Natalie, which is not my favourite vibe for contestants on the show. And I don't care for the "battling through illness" story that the producers have given her to combat the inevitable ringer accusations. She is a lovely dancer, however, just not one whose story presses my Strictly voting buttons.

Hmmm the music was rubbish, I agree, but I don't think that fully explains it.

Nothing wrong with that.
