Sophie & Brendan - Paso Doble, Tango, Viennese Waltz

She just said on Twitter that she's doing Salsa.

Maybe she's confused.

This week she's doing salsa. If she gets to the semis in week 12 she must be doing samba as one of her two dances then as it's her only latin dance left after that.

Hasn't Natalie already done an American Smooth?

Duh. Sorry - I didn't read back far enough.

Dani did Argentine Tango as her 'latin' last year, so Abbey could do the same. I doubt either will be a great dance for her but AT should be the better of the two.

Agree with you on Mark, but I think Ashley will have the Rumba and Sophie the Tango.

I know this maybe an unpopular opinion but I think that Abbey will do well with her salsa . Maybe NOT out of this world amazing but a very decent job with it.
I just hope she has a decent song this time

I think that was a change to Dani's originally planned dance when they changed from a 3-couple final to 4 couples tho - originally they'd planned to have the AT as their new dance in the final.

Yes I think Vincent and Flavia mentioned that in a radio interview last year.

I can't see anyone wanting to do an AT at the moment, It would be a new dance for Iveta and I think Ola has only done it once on the show before (might have been with Chris H, otherwise I don't think she's done it).

Maybe Ola and Natalie could do something from the film Bringing up Baby, or The Parent Trap

Maybe we'll only see one Argentine Tango this year - nobody really likes doing it, and I can't see it fitting into a Musicals or Fusion Week (if there is one). Maybe well see loads in the semifinal though.

Just to say Artem has confirmed the AS on Twitter for those who may have been doubtful.

I'm sad Ben's out, we won't get to see a beautiful Foxtrot where Kristina starts twerking on his lap midway through. And we don't get to see a Samba where Kristina rests on Ben's head using just her left bumcheek to support her whilst shapeshifting into a swan. Shame

Hope Mark has VW

I'm not sure they'd give him the VW after the Foxtrot.

They likely assume he's going this time for sure ...so I expect they may go for a fun dance. Samba would be my guess.

if they want to screw him over (to make it crystal clear it's his week to go) then they'll give him the Quickstep.

While we can still speculate.....
Can someone think of a musical that can be used as a salsa song
Abbey and Aljaz really draw the short end of the stick this week .....

So that's 2 Latin already confirmed. I think that Sophie or Mark will probably have a Latin .

Hmm, I can't really think of a song from a musical that would work for a salsa.

Would 'America' from 'West Side Story' work? I still don't know much about the latin dances, so I could be way off on this one. It's the only one I can think of though.

Also, I'd quite like someone to dance to the instrumental version of 'El Tango de Roxanne' from 'Moulin Rouge!'. Good song

Think that it is more likely for Ashley to have a latin dance (rumba). Mark only has the Samba (and Charleston?) as latin dance, whereas Sophie could potentially have 2 ballroom dances on the trot (if she were to skip the salsa altogether, or at least until a potential final).

Isn't Mamma Mia a musical? I expect you'd find a few songs suitable for a Salsa in that.

I'm not sure Salsa will suit Abbey, I can't see her doing really well, but I hope she does alright.”

The AS can be a huge crowd pleaser if choreography is great

Louis & Flavia did that last year

I'm predicting that Susanna will be a Rumba-dodger this year. The producers keep gifting her with crowd-pleasers with appropriate music. Everyone else gets the contemporary Tangos or the comedy Pasos.

I hope she does. I hate the Rumba with a passion & have only ever see a handful of half decent ones in all the series It's time they did away with it altogether in my view. I can't imagine many viewers look forward to seeing the rumbas except for all the wrong reasons.

Uhmm, you may be right.
I'm still waiting for her to get the rumba ! Hopefully she gets to do it !!! If not, I'm screaming favoritism !!! Like it's going to get me somewhere
