Oh....I.forgot about dirty dancing . That would be perfect but it has been recycled quite a lot already imo and we already saw a close to perfect salsa to it last year....that would be too much pressure but they can do it though.

I'd venture to suggest that more than one of her dances has been comedy, the samba and Charleston for a start.

And I like Sus' n Kev', but there was naff-all crowd -pleasing about that cha cha, not in our house anyway! (at least Susanna admitted it, mind)

P&A have already done QS so I'd also guess Charleston - agree it does not quite "go" and if they are being true to the timeline of the film, surely the dance wasn;t even around then?

We're assuming that Patrick meant Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the song. He may have been referring to the musical as a whole and they're dancing to a different song from it. Can't imagine what, though

Also, that Dirty Dancing song is not in my admittedly un-expert opinion suitable for a salsa, and Louis' salsa to it was crap, furthermore. I admit I may be biased in my opinion as:
1. I loathe Dirty Dancing and everything associated with it.
2. Louis bored the pants off me.

If there's anything shoehorned into a number from Les Mis, I may be forced to kick the TV out of the window. And then come down to the studio and kick the producers out of the window.

Would 'America' from 'West Side Story' work? I still don't know much about the latin dances, so I could be way off on this one. It's the only one I can think of though.

Also, I'd quite like someone to dance to the instrumental version of 'El Tango de Roxanne' from 'Moulin Rouge!'. Good song ”

There's a few songs from Evita that might work for salsa. I'd be shocked if we didn't see something from it, because there's so many songs that could suit many different dance styles. They'd do better to pick something other than Don't Cry For Me Argentina, but they always go for the iconic song. Matt and Alesha used I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You for AT, so maybe I'd like to see a jive to The Lady's Got Potential.

It would be silly to pick it, I agree. For starters, it's a mambo in the movie, and it's pretty much been done to death now.

There are some other songs in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which could work with some of the other dances Patrick has left but I agree it's likely to be the song Chitty Chitty Bang Bang itself and to a Charleston.

EDIT: Could Roses of Success work for a Paso? Or Hushabye Mountain for a Rumba? Or Toot Sweets or Truly Scrumptious for a Waltz? Or might they do a Morris dance inspired Charleston to Me Ole Bamboo!

I'm hoping for a VW from Sophie this week. I think she would look wonderful and tactically as it's less dramatic a dance if she is in the bottom two she would probably beat Mark anyway.

Apparently the stage version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has a samba in it. Perhaps that will be used for a samba one year during musicals week. At least it would be correct music for the dance.

There is even the Bombie Samba in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. So almost any style of dance you could wish for.

I'm almost scared to get excited for next week. In theory it should be a fantastic show. I'm just afraid there will be props and faffing and dances danced to the oddest music choices.

I'm prepared to be highly disappointed in next week, Starpuss. I have horrible feeling that instead of simply dancing to songs from musicals the couples are going to have to dress up in ridiculous costumes that bear only a scant resemblance to characters from the musical, do a couple of steps from the alleged dance and then gurn their way through a potted version of the musical's most famous story/element. With loads of time-wasting and unnecessary props.

Then despite the fact it was friggin' terrible, Craig will tell them that he "loved the storytelling" and I'll shout a very naughty word at the telly.

Nothing says "We didn't expect him to last this long." like the fact Mark has already danced to a song from Hairspray when the producers knew that there was a Musicals Week on the horizon.

I think she's either going to have the VW or the AS... don't think they're going to give her the Paso or Tango seeing as she recently did the AT. Hoping for AS because Sophie is good at lifts.

Well we will get 2 more confirmed today - Mark & Iveta are on ITT tonight, along with Ola (Ashley can't be there due to work commitments). So after that, it would only be Sophie's that isn't confirmed.

If Susanna does get the rumba (which I doubt very much), I wonder if it will be raunchy enough for Bruno
