I don't think he is wooden, I think he deliberately plays the character like that, as very reserved and slightly awkward. I don't really watch Eastenders any more, but sometimes I catch bits of it when my mum is watching it, and some of Tamwar's comments really make me laugh.

I would love to see Alan Carr on Strictly too. Has he hinted that he wants to do it next year then? I thought he had already turned it down a few times. I know he likes the show though, they keep showing him in the audience this year.

Elaine Paige is tiny. Even if Anton were taking part (which I now see he isn't) he would be too tall for her. My money would be on Pasha - having danced with Chelsee, who is also tiny.

As someone who has previously agreed to partner an old homophobic sandbag followed by somebody best known for who and what they've let into their lower regions, as well as being behind the helm of a show in which large celebrities are pushed into a pool of water by a block of foam... However, he and Erin have a series of live shows at the Royal Albert Hall in the run up to Christmas so it probably makes more sense for the less busy pros to do the Xmas show.

Aliona with anyone is interesting given many on here think she won't be back next year.

Even if Natalie is out of action they didn't have to use Aliona. Karen has been out of the contest for a couple of weeks. They could have got Katya back like they did last year, and many other options I'm sure.
Katya is in Hong Kong at the moment..... but yeah Karen could have done it...but think Aliona suits Matt better... Should be a good Christmas special ...
