I want to see her in the gutter, isolated from everyone because she wouldn't listen to them and to then find out she's pregnant. From there, she'd keep the baby with Alfie's blessing, and they'd be connected forever so he can't just forget her and get straight back with Kat.

Now this could be very interesting! However I don't think she'll end up in the gutter or be isolated from people, they're more likely to feel sorry for her really. But pregnant and alone - I like! Alfie will be conflicted because this will be his first biological child so there would be a major pull there.

Go back to what she was up until summer 2011.

A plot device in Ronnie Mitchell's storylines.

She wasn't doing much before Alfie, so she most likely won't do much after him either. She will be Ronnie's sidekick again.

This is a question that I have also been wondering recently. Her last two years on the show will essentially be reversed and she will be back at square one. I hope she's not put on the sidelines again, she has proven that she is far too good for that.

Not really much for her or Ronnie to do really, that's the problem with a soap confining itself to one geographical location for most storylines, she is back living at Phil's, has no job, no real storylines, only Amy the mute child for company so she cant even interact with her screen daughter!

She could move in with Ronnie.. but then what? They either work their way through the squares men (unlikely) or turn into party girls out on the razz (bit long in the tooth for that, would get very boring to watch), or fall out with everyone and spend every episode screeching at people while Ronnie stood in the background giving the death stare..

So really, it's a shame Sam Womack is staying longer, as Ronnie leaving in the spring as there is nothing but bad memories, awkwardness and hostility in Walford, and Roxy deciding to go with her for the same reason, would be a natural ending to their time in Walford (and would probably happen that way irl too), as it is, we will now be treated to years of Ronnies ice maiden act, falling out with those she hasn't already alienated, and Roxy screwing around and bitterly shouting the odds at Alfie, a younger Shirley...

If she stays, exactly this. Ronnie was always the A list sister, Roxy the B. She's never going to be a major EE player.

Bring back Sean, (rob) seems open to the idea!

Also give the bar back to Ronnie and Roxy, and put Sharon in charge of Booty's.

Could say the same about kat and a number on the square ronnie is one of few interesting female characters in her thirties on the square. Kat and Alfie IRl would leave. He'd lose his job as phil is roxys cousin, kat doesn't own any house or anything, and only runs a stall. Ronnie is on the square, kats family now gone- why would kat and Alfie stay any more than roxy, who has two cousins, her baby's father's family, a job and a sister on the square?

Ironically, a similar write up would apply to Sharon.

The difference is Sharon is an original iconic character who has been involved in EE biggest storylines. Whether u like it or not that counts for a lot in a soap.

It's why I don't call for dot to be axed; or Ian (despite his character going round in circles). Soaps require connections to their past and to many Sharon is EE.

The same is not true of Ronnie or roxy.

I'd say both her and Ronnie will have big storylines coming up now that DTC is in charge and he is clearly very fond of the characters and actresses!

Well Ronnie's hasn't been talked into staying for nothing so I expect there's some fairly big ideas.

I take it that after dumping Roxy, Alfie will get kicked out of the pub by Phil and that where Shirley's lot come in.

So Ronnie's and Roxy move in with Phil & Shirley. Maybe they'll both be back at R&R in 2014?

Ronnie is a mentally disturbed child kidnapper and Roxy is a cheap, sleeparound, two bit bike. You would normally fear for their future but on Eastenders, these are positive qualities with storylines guaranteed. The quality of women that I tend to associate with is far, far, far higher because I likes a bit of class wiv me birds, I do.

Great post- looking forward to the return if the 'real' Sharon next year.,

Rita won't leave unless she is axed but I can't see what else they can do with her now.

I would like to see the stress get to her and she gets alopecia. How would she cope without her looks? Ronnie would hep her through the illness so for once Roxy gets the bigger storyline.

There is still Glenda's unresolved relationship with her daughters to explore.
