Tired Tango?
Gosh, that was one boring Tango by Nat and Artem. What has happened? I couldn't take my eyes off the lady of the lake and this Tango was just ..... meh.

There doesn't seem to be any chemistry between the pair of them on the dance floor. For the Tango to work there needs to be passion and how ever much fun Natalie and Artem have in training they seem to loose the connection on a Saturday night.
It's a shame because regardless of whether you believe Natalie is a ringer or not, the girl sure can dance. |

I'm 100% sure that Natalie does not win.
I'm 99% sure that Sophie wins. |

True about their lack of chemistry. The music didn't help me to be honest but going off this couple a little as I think they've lost their initial wow factor.

The music was the trouble I think. Very repetitive.

It bored me a bit too, and her facial expressions were a bit off putting unfortunately. I think she's a great dancer, but I agree there seems to be a lack of chemistry between her and Artem.

The music was rubbish. With a proper tango they would have been great.

The music happened. In tango or paso a good music is very important, there's a reason for the staccato moves, they should in the music, too. If they are not it looks like dancers are having a seizure.

The music may have been terrible but it was like two shop dummies moving around the floor. They were just......blank.

A good music animates dancers and the audience, too, IMO.

The music was rubbish for that particular dance, that's what the problem was. Despite that, the dance was still a pleasure to watch.

Top of the leader board, 37 points, standing ovation , back as favourite to win.
What a terrible dance she must have performed. |

She came into the competition all guns blazing, ready to take it by storm but now seems to have run out of steam.
Poor dance tonight, didn't. Hold my attention. |

I enjoyed it...not as much as I enjoyed their VW, Rumba or their Charleston mind but nevertheless I thought it was very good.....and I find their chemistry just fine together. Its a working relationship pretty much like all the others have and anyone who expects the same chemistry that Artem and Kara had are being very disingenuous.
I do think I would have enjoyed it more with different music and I deffo would have liked it better had the camera operative been not dancing as well That camera work last night was dreadful and made me feel dizzy.....I think that the audience reaction to it shows that it was much better than what we saw sitting at home.

You thought it was a good Tango? I think it was technically good, hence the scores etc. I never said it wasn't technically good but if you saw any chemistry, you saw a different dance to me.

Music did not help but every dance they do I expect them to suddenly break out with bowler hats, canes and jazz hands...again.

Another piece of bad music for Natalie and Artem. like last week, as I think their performances seem to be dull because of the rubbish song choices.

I don't think the terrible lacklustre Tango was their fault, the music was dreadful, awful. It looked like they were dancing to a different piece of music in the studio to what I was listening to.
Generally, whoever decided the music for last night's dances needs to be relieved of their post and sent on a dance music appreciation course. How on earth are people who do not normally dance, supposed to learn and pick up a dance to this rubbish? |

I couldn't decide if the staccato head moves were deliberately out of sync, or whether Natalie was mucking them up all the way through the routine. (The fact I am even considering it to be deliberate is a nod to her talent by the way, not an attempt to criticise).
Deliberate or not, it looked messy and spoiled the routine for me. |

Watching the routine with the mute button on shows you that it was a very good technical routine with some clever choreography. Watching it with the music on gives the impression of dull monotony with no musical phrasing to the dance because the appalling song absolutely did not fit a Tango whether it was in the right time/beat or not.
