Things I didn't like about Saturday

Bruce was poor. Yes, he often fluffs his lines, but Saturday night was a low for him.

Tess was also struggling - it became almost embarrassing on a couple of occasions.

Dancing was poor this week. Perhaps a feeling of deflation after Blackpool?

A positive though was that the marking was a bit more rational (apart from that one 10) this week. Maybe they'd been spoken to after the OTT marking at Blackpool where, it seemed, you just had to turn up to get a 10.

But please, whoever is in charge of the cameras, STOP SPINNING THE CAMERA AROUND THE DANCE FLOOR. We get this every dance and it's making me feel SICK.

Camerawork
Poor chemistry between dancers
Mark in obvious pain
Seeing Sophie so uncomfortable
Seeing Ashley feeling up Ola
Bruce's brain misfiring
Kristina's pole dancing

In fact, I didn't really enjoy last nights show at all.

It did feel flat.
I kept wondering if Bruce was going to completely lose it. Very uncomfortable watching him.
Spinny camerawork made my head hurt.

I've never understood why they don't save Blackpool for the final.

Getting a bit fed up of the stupid VTs. Maybe if Ashley and Ola hadn't been faffing about in a shark tank, Ola could have sorted his head position!

Worrying about Bruce, not a fan but was truly concerned for his well-being last night.
Missing seeing Artem in the crowd behind Tess for the after dance comments .. anyone know where he goes?
Seeing Sophie obviously upset.
Craig overdid being Craig last night.

All on all a bit of a downer last night, as already mentioned why on earth don't they have the final at Blackpool?

What i noticed about Bruce last night was after Sophies dance, when the judges were giving their comments Sophie made a comment and Bruce looked over his shoulder at her and if looks could kill she,d be out now, what a look he gave her, really hostile, any one else spot it?

Poor Sophie's look of utter bewilderment, I too would be confused by the judges and their comments!

Natalie and Artem's song choice

Bruce, can't he just shut up and do what he is paid to do? Ask the judges for their comments, that is all he needs to say, I don't need him chiming in every 5 seconds with his thoughts

The awful music for Natalie & Artem's Tango.

Seeing Kristina feeling up Ben!.... ........

I used to really like her when she joined the team and danced with John Sargeant and thought her choreography was great but oooh... what on earth has happened to her!, i think dancing with Ben has gone to her head!... I dont think him attractive in the slightest but she obviously does!, and that is all it seems to have been about this series!!!... all the
Bare chest, pole dancing , weight lifting of her, ( and i did think there are only a couple of dances that allow the woman to be lifted of the floor but it seems like she is above his head every week!!)...... all the fist clenching and the whoo hoo ing at the 8's they keep getting is thoroughly getting on my nerves and i have gone off her big time!....

Me. I was surprised because normally Bruce is very supportive to the celebs especially when they're getting hammered by the judges.

I don't know what it was about last night's show but, it didn't work for me. I wonder if it's because no-one escaped criticism last night and because of it we lost the "feel-good" factor of SCD. I know we criticise the OTT praise the judges give but, Iast night I felt the show suffered because the judges were a little too serious.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one left flat by last night's programme. Craig was really grumpy, even the effervescent Bruno was subdued. Thank goodness for Dr Who after

It is really really uncomfortable watching and listening to Bruce fluffing lines, interrupting and making non-sensical comments. Ageing is a natural process and it feels unpleasant to criticise someone who is plainly having cognitive problems linked to his advanced years. But equally, it is not unreasonable to expect that anyone paid the gargantuan sums Bruce receives should do a professional job and not subject the audience to anxiety that he is actually going to collapse on screen or completely lose the plot. It must be an on-going nightmare for Tess.

Dreadful music.

Godawful spinning camera, it makes me feel sick. Quite often I have to look away from the screen.

The tone was set for the whole of last nights programme with Len (if I had a brain I would be dangerous) Goodman's little speech before the "judging" began.
It left an unpleasant semi bullying cloud over the show.
The Judges negative comments on the dances were not even trying to guide the contestants, they were just dismissive and nasty.
Add the antics of the aged presenter and his assistant, plus a dose of weird camera action and it was not at all entertaining.

Felt really sad watching Bruce last night, he was dying on the stage.

Felt so sorry for Sophie and the bashing she got

Felt amazed I really did not like Natalies dance, no chemistry or oomp there

Felt music for Natalie and Abby was dreadful.

Felt it was time for Mark to go - as he is suffering, looked in pain

Felt Ben was so over marked, 4 x 6's was more in line with others marks

This^^^^^^^^

It was very uncomfortable to watch and I hope that the BBC will finally realise that Bruce is no longer capable of presenting a live show.

Also noticed a very subdued atmosphere in the Tesspit. The whole show seemed out of sorts.

Think you have it spot on for me there Laura. I have never wanted to turn Strictly over in 8 seasons, I did last night because the judges, having been ridiculously over excited about dances the past few weeks have now gone all "bad" cop which left the dancers and celebs confused and a bit battered.

Maybe it will get everyone trying extra hard next week, I don't know but as for last night, well it was only entertainment if you like lions and Christians, etc, etc. SCD Producer is not the Messiah he's a very naughty boy/girl, ahem don't know where that came from!

Yes, as pointless as all the over hyping earlier on, and quite bullyesque

Bruce - SHUT UP you are NOT a judge.
Brendan - Never criticising your partner teaches her nothing and she will not be prepared for others criticism.
Music - Awful choices, whoever is doing this needs sacking ASAP
Camera angle choosers - Stop choosing the spinning one all the time.
Judges (except mostly Craig) - Mark to match your comments and STOP over marking (Bruno was the worst last night).
Kristina - Stop wearing short socks. Grown women in short socks is just nasty. Made the Charleston look like a drunk Baby Jane dancing with a weightlifter.
Wardrobe - The right dresses for each dance please. Not an AS dress & Rumba outfit for a VW.

Bruce's constant "szuzz, szuzz, szuzz" in the background, whilst the judges are talking, the rude, ignorant old fool.

Thanks, Mona. I've just rewatched it "in context" and really enjoyed it this time around,

On the one hand, the bracing cold snap of the judge's comments (otherwise known as reality) was quite refreshing, on the other, when the highlight (for me) is Iveta and Ols's sisterly cuddle in the Tesspit, I guess it wasn't much of a show.
