Worrying about Bruce, not a fan but was truly concerned for his well-being last night.
Missing seeing Artem in the crowd behind Tess for the after dance comments .. anyone know where he goes?
Seeing Sophie obviously upset.
Craig overdid being Craig last night.

All on all a bit of a downer last night, as already mentioned why on earth don't they have the final at Blackpool?
BIB: He was there for quite a lot of the show last night. He was right at the back, behind taller people. You could just see part of his head, some of the time!
Bruce was poor. Yes, he often fluffs his lines, but Saturday night was a low for him.

Tess was also struggling - it became almost embarrassing on a couple of occasions.

Dancing was poor this week. Perhaps a feeling of deflation after Blackpool?

A positive though was that the marking was a bit more rational (apart from that one 10) this week. Maybe they'd been spoken to after the OTT marking at Blackpool where, it seemed, you just had to turn up to get a 10.

But please, whoever is in charge of the cameras, STOP SPINNING THE CAMERA AROUND THE DANCE FLOOR. We get this every dance and it's making me feel SICK.
This. Susanna putting on the susanna cheesy show; Mark being over-marked (again.); The judges disrespect to Brendan's take on the rumba and underplaying Sophie's acting skills. There was so much more. All in all a lacklustre affair last night

Natalie's music really spoilt it for me.

I'll agree with that everyone said about Brucie - sack the old codger now - sorry I've never liked him and he just keeps getting worse.

Bad music choices - although Natalie's was bad - Abbey's was worse and used for the second time - it didn't help Zoe Lucker the first time it was used and it didn't help Abbey tonight especially as although Abbey's effort was good - her problem is she dances a bit girly and soft for a paso - had she had somelike the Carmen music Susannah had this might have helped her.

Don't mark and comment on the pre-concieved idea of a dance - I felt Sophie and Brendan were very unfairly attacked for delivering a different interpretation of the dance than we usually see - if her hips weren't working it as others have said then crit and mark that. I agree with the posters who say the judges have now slipped into the trap of marking what a dance should look in their eyes rather than the reality.

On the plus - we did get sane comments and judges actually picking up on dancers faults for a change - Abbey's too girley paso, Sussunnah's floppy footwork (which didn't impress in her supposed 'near perfect' paso, Ben's lack of movement in the charleston.

I thought it was a good show spoilt slightly by the judges who seem undecided of whether to be overly generous or really mean. Apart from Sophie & Brendan, I thought the scores were a lot more sensible this week but having overhyped the likes of Susanna and Ben for weeks, it must come as a nasty shock to suddenly have your work ripped to shreds!

Glad I'm not the only one who hates the spinning camera. How are we supposed to judge for ourselves how well the celebrities are dancing if we can't actually see them properly?

I'm not a Bruce fan and i'm also not one of his regular detractors either, but last night he really got on my nerves. I'm used to him fluffing his lines but I loathed the way he kept interrupting the judges with his own critique. "The rise and fall, the rise and fall!" was one of his sage comments. I saw Darcey and Craig look at each other while he was interrupting them and I could have a good guess what they were thinking. Bruce needs to remember he is a presenter, not a judge. I don't care what his critique is, and if he MUST do it, let him do it once and once only, per couple. Not this constant whittering and mumbling while the judges are talking.

The hypocrisy of the judges

The rambling of BF

The camera spins

The lack of people in the tesspit (were they all rehearsing the xmas special?)

The stupid VT's

The poor music choices for tango and paso

So glad I had Dr Who to look forward too

Bruce - really really bad last night. And oh the "jokes"

Natalie's music, completely spoilt the dance.

The twirling camera - why??

The judges not giving Brendan a chance to explain his interpretation of the rumba, yes it was different, but very good.

The whole show looked a bit flat, and my deepest sympathy goes to poor Tess. She must dread Saturday night.

It was a fairly dire show. I think it would be easier to say what I actually liked.

Erm... come back to me on that one.

What i noticed about Bruce last night was after Sophies dance, when the judges were giving their comments Sophie made a comment and Bruce looked over his shoulder at her and if looks could kill she,d be out now, what a look he gave her, really hostile, any one else spot it?
No I didn't spot it, where?

It wasn't so much the spinning camera work but the way it spent so much time on head and shoulder views when I wanted to see their feet too!

Bruce actually scared me last night!

The judges doing such a complete turn around from nicey nicey to snappy snarly - There is a middle ground they could try.

As others have said the music choices - and the female singer (!). Natalies dance was ruined for me simply because they seemed to be dancing to music in their heads not to what I was hearing.

Spending so much time with my finger on the 'mute' button.

Tabithakitten for me the one nice thing last night was Marks smiling face - a little ray of sunshine in a rather grey moody night.

It's got to the point with me that if he hasn't retired by next year, I don't think I will be watching, he's just too excruciating. He is the one and only reason my sister won't watch it. For goodness sake Brucie, give us all a break and go quietly, you've had long enough.

1. The spinny camera footage! So annoying!
2. Craig's facial expressions of complete and utter misery.
3. All of the music

Mark saved the night for me too. He was a joy to watch.

The music was awful. I think it was in Abbey's dance that I just gave up listening to the music and turned the sound off. Why do they have to try to dance what are 'traditional' and not fashionable dances to pop music?

Didn't like Susanna sticking her head into every shot in the Tesspit and patting people while they were getting the marks. She really does know where every camera is, and is determined to get on it.

Sick of the 'look, look!' standing ovations, at least one section of the audience seemed to rebel against it and stayed in their seats.

Funnily enough, I thought the frocks last night were an improvement on what's gone before, and that's not something you can say every week - Iveta's & Abbey's in particular were gorgeous.

Actually, yes. Mark (excruciating rumba aside) always puts a smile on my face. Although he's now right at the end (and has, perhaps, fallen off) of his ability level and it's time to go, I will miss him when he's gone. He projects the performance better than anyone else.

Getting a bit fed up of the stupid VTs. Maybe if Ashley and Ola hadn't been faffing about in a shark tank, Ola could have sorted his head position!
I think Ashley should have sorted that out ages ago, so the VT for this week isn't even related to that aspect or prevented him from correcting it. Ashley just seems to have a tendency to that do that (it's been mentioned before by the judges and whoeevr else, abit like his bad posture problem) so it's an inconsistency that he just can't seem to remember to put right depsite knowing about it. Maybe his work schedule just means he finds it hard to remember what he needs to improve on (if he has less time), or maybe it's just simple a problem with him. Eitherway, some of these VTs don't get in the way of having time to make corrections frm weeke to week, as sometimes it's just the people's own inability that stops them from progressing.

Well, you have seen something that I have not been able to see either on the night or via two viewings of that clip.

In fact, Bruce seemed very supportive, and to me was listening rather open-mouthed at the judges' comments.

Still, that's detached interpretation for you.

Bruce had a weak moment at the beginning, but the rest wasn't worse than usual. I hated the music. I did not like Patrick's so called Viennese Waltz.

I've never understood why they don't save Blackpool for the final.
Because they need the London studio for Pudsey and co Children in Need night.

I was very underwhelmed by last night's show. There was something not quite right. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with the Blackpool Spectacular the week before (but, to be honest, I even found Blackpool a bit of an anti-climax).

Many things did not feel right to me:

-Bruce fluffing his lines. I felt terribly sorry for him. It was so embarrassing for him and everyone else. One of the few moments I'd wished Stricty wasn't a 'live' show.

- the music particularly Natalie & Artem's Tango as well as Abby's Paso.

- I was underwhelmed by the overall dancing. No one hit the mark for me. I usually enjoy watching Natalie & Artem (what are they going to do next?) but last night I felt their tango lacked, drama, passion and attack. Probably the least favoured dance they have done.

The only thing I think did work was the marking. I thought the scoring from the judges was quite fair except the 10 score from Bruno. None of the dances last night were worth 10 in my opinion of course!

I didn't like that judges suddenly decided to be more strict marking the dances. It's as if they said they were lying the whole time. I find Craig's approach better, mark the dance as it is, his high marks mean something, others' marks are relativised.
