I have both those phones and have to agree, though every time I make such a comment in this forum I get ridicule from the Android fanboys.
(dons tin hat)
My nexus 4 seems to work as well as a mates Iphone 4s what ever I did not see any difference, nor did he.
Not sure what you mean about this lagging, I know some Samsung phones can lag because of all the junk they put on it.

i am not a android fanboy, i got the phone because the price was good for the specs and I prefered the UI to IOS, also as been said in these forums, Android phones UI can be changed.

I know someone who just got a Iphone 5s and with all it's power, I did not noticed much difference either.

At the end of the day, you use what you want to use, you buy what you want to buy, but don't tar all Android users as fanboys, no more than I tar all iphone users as fan boys or girls for that matter.

You mean fanboys of other systems keep telling you Samsungs do.

Lagging is like turning the clock back to the battle of the Bighorn. My San Francisco with an ARM 11 CPU lags but lagging was a main argument for having a basic non multi tasking system.

If more apps decide to access a shared resource at the same time and the time it is used cannot be reduced and it's the foreground app that has to wait, you get lagging.

Power management sometimes causes it too.

This was actually supposed to be a big advantage, switching between low-power and full-power cores to save power. But anything self-regulating does not work perfect all the time and it can be rather annoying if it ends up lagging each time you want to do something with it.

Does it no harm to have 50% more battery longevity

So how many miliseconds does the switch take from low power standby to fast CPU take?

My S4 doesn't lag.

Enough for Samsung to turn it off to get better benchmarks. I do not know how much time the switch takes and how long before the CPU decides it needs to switch. That is more important than the actual switch.

Wasn't this thread meant to be about screen size?

That's something that is customizable in the kernel, mine's set to 10 milliseconds but it can be any conceivable value you want from a few microseconds upwards
