I think if I had that kind of money I would go for the Motorola Moto G (some even comparing it to the iPhone 5C).
I think they can be bought for less than £150. It's got some rave reviews and fairly high spec for your money: http://www.motorola.co.uk/consumers/...FWgOwwodeSIAwg http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1907950 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Moto-16GB-Si...eywords=moto+g |

As the op specifically asked for Sky support why would you recommend the Moto G?

The S3 mini is OK but it is over priced for what it is. If not it should be on all of them soon? I would chance it as Sky Go should be available for the Moto G in the future (cannot guarantee though) or see if you can get hold of a Nexus 4 for a decent price. |

Sorry I thought it was on most decent spec Android phones now.

No not most decent spec. Something good im looking for is 4 inches a decent size for a screen or should it be more to play games.
The second is I'm having a real issue with JB on it. I disabled automatic downloads as I wanted to keep a little bit of control over the device. Following that, the play store has been constantly crashing, and causing massive lag on the device. The only way to resolve it is to re-enable the auto download. There are plenty of reports of this on the web, and I haven't checked if it happens with other phones. A minor point that might not effect you, but a real pain in the bum. |

I'm not sure I would go for the s3 mini. I got one for my child and I have two observations. A minor one is the screen seems to scratch very easily.

What else would you suggest. People keep slagging the S2 off because its a old phone with updates. Does it really matter as long as its a good fone alough ive heard the battery life is crap.
I think you should just stick with whatever you are happy with. I like the Htc one mini, because I like the build quality, screen size and I would like to move away from touchwiz. |

the situation with samsung at the moment is good hardward, bad software.
Touchwiz is bloaty and laggy, AOSP based roms are buggy due to samsung not releasing sources. With that said tho I would think the s3 mini is still a good phone, I was seriously considering it before I Went with an S3. What stopped me getting the s3 mini is I think its overpriced, at the time I got my s3, it was only about £50 cheaper than the s3. Of course now I am used to the s3 screen, using a screen size that the s3 mini has feels smallish but on the other hand the s3 is awkrawd to use when out and about as a phone, its big in the pocket and big too hold in one hand. In terms of raw power it is fairly decent tho, roughly on par with the s2 albeit with a weaker gpu. |
