Before 7.0.4 on my iphone 5 it would shut off at 1% as it should, but after the update it shuts off at 4%? Anyone find that?

Funnily enough my partners iphone 5 still shuts off at 1%. Not a massive deal, just wondered if anyone else has this problem?

My ancient 4S still shuts off at less than 1%. Maybe your battery is worn out or there's a calibration issue somewhere?

As above really, if you can run your battery down completely so it has discharged (maybe use another phone for a few days?). Then leave it on overnight on charge it should hopefully calibrate the battery and thus give accurate readings.

All depends on where I am when I'm using it.
If I'm out in a poor 3G area then sometimes it will shutdown around 10-20% when trying to load a forum page.
When I'm at home using WiFi then it will shutdown some time after it reaches 1%.

I suppose it depends on signal strength, because it can work out how much extra juice it needs for low signal areas. I think mine shuts off anywhere between 1% and 4%. I did once have a strange thing where it said it was on 2% and shut off, but when I plugged it in and turned it back on, it was immediately on 50%. Not sure what happened there.

Hmm I'm not alone then. Never had this before in the 4-5 years I've owned iPhones.

I'll try the discharging and fully charging trick

Cheers
