Mark. Worse than the three he danced off against yet gets through. This programme & the judges has lost all credibility.

Ben made several mistakes Craig only vote was based on bens appearance

Well, you could see from his own reaction that he wasn't expecting to stay. I think he was more surprised than anybody.

I didn't notice any mistakes ..... I'm not a dancer though.

I thought Mark would have gone since it was his 3rd time..but..

...Mark danced better IMO.

When you actually look at what Ben did in that routine, the majority was just lifting (which looked good but it was Kristina doing the dance movement) and walking..the actual amount of dancing by Ben was very little (lots of smoke and mirrors in that regard)..

....plus Ben just messed up more than Mark in regards to timing.

I was shocked the judges didn't all go the shallow route and keep Ben but it was the right decision and in some respects I almost feel Ben wanted to go.

Ben made several obvious mistakes - from the judges faces they didn't want to send him home but based on what happened during the dance-off they had to save Mark.

He didn't dance one step of the Quickstep. He is vastly overweight with obvious breathing difficulties and knee problems.
What on earth were the judges thinking? Darcy was sitting with her face in her hands.
Madness, absolute madness!

A good thing..as it was the foxtrot.

Mark did a foxtrot, not a quickstep. And made fewer errors than Ben in his Charleston.

That said, the judges choose other factors when it suits, such as content and potential, or have in the past anyway.

Ben looked lovely but that routine was pretty light on content. Also he was out of time with the music quite a lot and was clearly looking at Christina to copy what she was doing a couple of times.

Lovely bloke, but I think strictly on content the decision was right. I would be very surprised if Mark doesn't go next week though.

On the live show Ben was better, on the results show Ben made a number of clear mistakes that cost him, he looked like he gave up, whereas Mark being there before gave it what he could.

Overall the best dancer is Ben, but it was the correct decision and not a face, anyone watching can see the mistakes and I think ITT will cover it on Monday.

Yes - ever since Len's outburst about Mark making more mistakes a few weeks ago when the other judges saved him, it's made it more or less impossible for the judges to ignore mistakes in the dance off.

Easily covered then. Shows how much I care what he does. He is no dancer.

Both of them did badly in part because they kind of danced half-heartedly and I think both were ready to go. So meh.

As I said in another thread I don't think Mark would have minded going as he was struggling to climb the stairs to Tess yesterday. I'm glad he stayed in as long as he did but think it was his time to go.

...or the producer had a little word with Craig to make it look less one-sided.

I don't understand this and the other thread: Mark made less mistakes than Ben so the performance and decision was based on tonight. If Kristina had spent less time putting in those lifts and concentrating more on footwork and hip movement etc, then the result might have been different. Ben always looked uncomfortable with her choreography. Iveta worked with what she had - Kristina tried to but took the easy route.

Ben made GLARING mistakes. He knew it too, he winced when it happened. The dance off is about who danced better and that was Mark.

I can't see that it makes much difference. Ben and Mark were the two worst dancers and it was right that they were in the dance-off. I was mildly surprised that Mark was saved, but he'll be out next week.

Darcey wanted him to stay so why is she being dramatic. In my opinion Mark does not have the physical capability to improve. He looks as it he's gained weight. Ben was getting better each week v disappointed if it wasn't musical week next week I wouldn't watch

Perhaps because of his knees, but that was due to an injury. His weight isn't holding him back in this sense.

Looks like you need to see the optician.

I agree. Program is a joke. No wonder Anton doesn't take it seriously

Looking at yesterdays scores, Mark had already been judged better than Ben so we can't be too surprised at the result this evening.
