Not everything shown on TV is award-winning. (And some of the award-winning stuff I wouldn't watch if you paid me!)
I'm another one in the 'like this' camp. It raises many different issues (radiation poisoning, death sentence, war in Singapore, etc). And it certainly makes a change from all those repeated ad nauseum 'Escape to the country'/Cash in the attic' type programmes. |

I've given up on this...but was worth watching the 1st episode just to see Henry..I was a bit in love with him, many many years ago when he was all curls and denim!

Does it matter, if it not award winning! It is a easy, simple drama, and Australia must love it, as it is having a 2nd series. I am sure ut would have worked in an evening slot, or late Sunday afternoon. So, yes I am enjoying it to.
![]() Anyway we are now 3 episodes into it and really enjoying it, can't see anything wrong with the way it was filmed as it just makes it all look much more atmospheric and of the day. |

Just caught up with these. I like them but kept trying to work out who Craig reminded me of with his current look - decided it's a cross between Russell Crowe and Gary Barlow
![]() It would work well as a Sunday early evening programme I think and probably attract a higher audience. Gentle but interesting stories and well acted imo.

I watched it today for the first time and I quite enjoyed it.
Does anyone think Simon had Aspergers? Obviously back in the 50s, there wasn't that much known about it. |

I am as well, watching it as catch-up before I go to sleep, finding it a nice simple drama, and it brings back memories when TV was producing quality easy drama.

Really enjoying this now, very much could be an evening programme on a sunday where has been said more would see it.
Used to love the sullivans have tried to get it on dvd but only limited number of episodes seem to have been released. |

I do enjoy it. However it is overkill (excuse the pun) having it every day. I'm sure having it on once a week (as it was in Australia) would be much better and make each story more exciting!

We record it everyday and watch it when we get chance 3 at the weekend so you could make it once a week by doing that.

I don't think it's good enough to record, though maybe my opinion would change if it was shown once a week. Yesterday I couldn't be bothered to watch it as it was getting a bit repetitive. Watching today as it's the last episode, but it's still a bit dull to watch after seeing some other episodes this week.

Not on next week. I hope we get some sort of resolution about his missing family today.

I love the programme - cannot wait for series 2.
It is so easy going and Ballarat is a gorgeous town. Rather have a few more of these types of drama, than the dross that is often on TV. |

Was looking forward to this especially as we have visited Ballarat a couple of times but quite disappointed with it - only watched 2 then gave up. Usually like Australian Series like these and have watched lots of them and recognise the actors but this was not for me. Like someone said - maybe not every afternoon for almost an hour.
Will also give Nick Knowles a miss next week.

I've really enjoyed it and will also look forward to a 2nd series. And yes - Craig is like Gary Barlow.

After watching a couple of episodes, I began looking forward to this. I prefer the policeman son character to the doctor though.
