Alfie Moon:

Cheeky cockney scamp Alfie Moon is a loveable rogue, with a, shall we say, unique dress sense (a cornucopia of blindingly colourful shirts, personalised West Ham tops and his trademark three-quarter length leather coat).

First appearance: 21st November 2002
Address: 46 Albert Square (The Queen Vic)
Occupation: Landlord
Though on paper he's a lying, cheating, bigamist with a criminal record, Alfie is one of the brightest and most-loved characters to ever hit The Square.
Would I lie to you?
Alfie Moon
Health issues: Infertility but has since become more fertile, although he still has a low sperm count
Distinguishing features: Has an appendix scar on his body from 1978
Likes: Cream and chocolate roll and comedy
Football team: Supports West Ham
Cars: Owns his beloved black Ford Capri

A true charmer, Alfie can talk his way in or out of any sticky situation. He even managed to win the heart of Albert Square's leading temptress, Kat Slater, and got a ring on her finger in a romantic Christmas Day ceremony... while failing to mention that he was already wed. Well you forget these things, don't you? Just like he forgot that you shouldn't date two sisters at the same time, when he started to see Little Mo while still with Kat...
Alfie and Kat left the Square to live the good life on the Continent, but Alfie couldn't abstain from trouble for long, ending up in a Spanish nick. Upon the cheeky-chappie's release the pair returned to the Square and became landlords of the Vic.
But life hasn't been all smiles since their return: Kat thought she'd lost her newborn baby, Tommy, only to discover that he was alive - Ronnie Branning had swapped him with her dead son, James.
While their marriage seemed to recover, it didn't take long for Kat's eye to wander. She had an affair with a mystery man. At first, Alfie forgave her. But when he found out it was Derek Branning? It was game over for Kat and Alfie.
Alfie sought comfort in his biggest admirer ‘Peroxide’ Roxy, and the two have decided to get hitched and try for a baby... While Alfie certainly deserves some happiness after the trauma of the last few months, is it too soon for him to embark on another "happily ever after"? The re-appearance of Roxy's sister, Ronnie seems to have thrown a spanner in the works for Roxy and Alfie.
With Roxy seeing Ronnie behind his back, it was only a matter of time before Alfie found out what his fiancé was up to. So now Roxy knows and Alfie knows, but Roxy doesn’t know that Alfie knows. When it did all finally come out, Alfie decided to leave and after some groveling from Roxy, he allowed her to leave with him.
Alfie returned with Roxy, determined to give their relationship their all and remove any interference; namely Kat and Ronnie. So whilst Roxy dealt with Ronnie, Alfie had to face Kat - and that conversation was never going to be easy! He told Kat that she needed to keep her distance and she told him where to go; she and Ronnie weren’t the problem, he was! Kat must have struck a chord, because Alfie was soon inviting Ronnie round for dinner. At first he couldn’t stomach it, but they soon got along over a good old board game. But it was short-lived; Ronnie made her position known that if Alfie messed up with Roxy, he would have Ronnie to answer to – scary thought!
It seemed Ronnie was some sort of fortune teller, because when it came to Alfie's stag do, there only seemed to be one person on his mind, and it wasn't his wife to be. After attempting to rekindle things with his former flame, Kat, Alfie was left confused and rejected when she pushed him away. But will he go through with wedding.

Roxy Mitchell:

Life's never boring when Roxy's around. She's impulsive, flirtatious and can smell an opportunity for mischief from ten paces.

First appearance: 24th July 2007
Address: 46 Albert Square (The Queen Vic)
Occupation: Manager and landlady of The Queen Vic
Being a Mitchell, Roxy's not afraid to speak her mind and when she sees something she wants, nothing will stop her… not even if the object of her affections is her sister's man, Jack Branning - with whom she had a baby.
Oh come on, just one more drink!
Roxy Mitchell
Distinguishing features: Tattoo on upper right arm
Hobbies: Clubbing
Criminal record: Arrested but let off with a warning after public row with sister Ronnie
Dislikes: Wedding cake as it's too rich
Favourite films: Pretty Woman

Roxy's flirtations with cocaine, whilst she was with hubby Sean Slater, are a distant memory. But, of course, her life remains complicated. She's even managed to inherit and lose millions in true Mitchell style, after her dad died.
With a young daughter, Amy, Roxy's got responsibilities now. It's not just about fun and games with best pal Christian anymore... especially now that he's gone off with Syed, and her partner in crime, sister Ronnie, is behind bars.
Roxy has always been looking for Mr Right, and it seems that Alfie is preparing himself to step into that role after the breakdown of his marriage with Kat. Alfie's popped the question, but is it too soon for this new couple?
The arrival of Ronnie back on The Square has proved to be quite a test for Roxy and Alfie. Roxy failed to meet her sister from the prison gates in a bid to keep the peace with Alfie... and although she seemed overjoyed to see her sister again, when Alfie realised a meeting had taken place, he forced an ultimatum on Roxy: him or her sister. Roxy chose Alfie, but continues to see Ronnie behind his back. With their wedding coming up it’s a risky game, and both her and Ronnie know it. So when Alfie found out and threatened to leave, Roxy couldn’t let anything come between her and the man she loved. She fled with Alfie, leaving Walford and her sister behind.
When she arrived back on the Square, Roxy made sure changes were made. She encouraged Alfie to remove Kat from The Vic, she broke up with her sis, got a lecture from Kat and then reunited with her sis, and then ended the day with her fiancé finally inviting Ronnie to be part of the family. Phew, what a hectic first day back! Ronnie came round for dinner, but it wasn’t smooth sailing and Roxy had to give Alfie a push in the right direction. They soon all bonded over a friendly board game, however, as you do! Roxy even managed to get her way and convince Alfie that Ronnie should give her away. Has Rox finally managed to get the best of both worlds?

Hope everyone enjoys the episode. Scrabbler will be here tomorrow and DS Enders returns next Monday.

it's true! No man can ever compare to a scampi flavoured snack, and the sooner Roxy realises this the better..

I remember Michael's line in the Vic (about Shenice, I believe) "Alfie, there's a little person eating crisps in the corner there" - genius

Michael just doesn't like kids. Remember that awkward moment when Morgan hugged him?

As for the poll, I chose neither because, well, Alfie's a massive prat and shouldn't be with either one of them for different reasons.

Same here, wouldn't wish Alfie on any woman, it should be a punishment for particularly heinous crimes..

You have been found guilty of murdering 4 husbands, I sentence you to marrying Alfie Moon - for life!

"Nooooooo!"

(Plus she might polish off Alfie - result!)

Lmao They'd probably end up making it 5 husbands you have to be strong mentally to put up with Alfie.
