Seen that on Classic Rock.

Of the bands on the bill so far, I would only listen to 2 or 3 tops

I initially thought WTF but then I looked at some of the others announced and realised Status Quo were one of the better bands mentioned

In a way Quos biggest track is also a millstone. A lot of people know them only for Rockin all Over The World. Where there is more to them than that.

Tracks like Paper Plane, Don't Waste My Time, Railroad, Roll Over Lay Down, Backwater/Just Take Me, Down Down, Softer Ride, 4500 Times. Are all heavy rock tunes that would fit fine at a Download concert.

AC/DC still get the love of a lot of the rock crowd but Quo get ridicule, I love both these bands but AC/DC is a lot more samey than Quo.

I agree. Of the bands announced so sar I would only go and see Alter Bridge, Rob Zombie, and A7X, but I have seen all three several times before.

It will be interesting to see who Knebworth announce next Monday.

As for Quo, loved them from Dog Of Two Head until @ If You Can't Stand The Heat, not really fussed after that although they still produced some good songs up until 1+9+8+2.

I've always wanted to go see Quo

I'm not a fan, but I bet I would know a greatest hits set list if ever I heard one and I bet the crowds are great

Apart from Rob Zombie and Aerosmith, there really isn't anyone else on the lineup so far to attract me. If status quo, Aerosmith and rob zombie were on the same day, I might consider a day ticket.

I saw Aerosmith the last time, and I've seen RZ twice since he's been here (and he's under a7x so there's no chance of the full on show) and I'm going to see Steel Panther in March so up to now, I'm happy I didn't bother getting tickets.

They can still do it.

I love the tracks you mentioned and they are fab LIVE , of course.

Is it correct that 10CC are supporting them on the tour?

Sadly, I assume it's the more recent "Panto Quo" lineup that will play, and not the original and far superior Frantic Four reunion with Coghlan and Lancaster reinstated - a much heavier sound . I saw the reunion tour earlier this year and can't wait for part 2 in 2014. The modern day lineup don't come close and those Christmas medleys they inflict during the December gigs are just embarrassing

Yes, but with only Graham Gouldman present from any recognisable lineup, it's more like 2.5CC these days
