So Phil does sell it not lease it then? Alfie acting like a baby i see.

Does look good, though. EE is coming back.

Did he actually think the Mitchells would allow him to play happy families with Kat after hurting Roxy, such an A grade idiot.

Those pictures pretty much put paid to the lease rumours then? At lease Alfie finds the backbone to finally do something about any situation though!

Why did people think Phil would just be leasing the pub?

The original hype video clearly showed that the Vic was "for sale"...

I recall a few painstakingly long, drawn out Shirley threads on the subject. One of those Shirley threads

Exactly! What the hell did the idiot expect? He should have known he'd be history at the Vic FGS

Thinking there was an article on here or soapsquawk saying this. or think it could have been from the daily mail.

Guess he thought Phil would be professional lol. Should never underestimate the Mitchells when you mess with one.

A bit off topic, but surely Janine would instantly snap the pub up? He could get a decent amount out of her - hasn't she always wanted to own it?

V. true, plus it's not like she has the moral code to hesitate to profit out of the misfortune of Michael's cousin She'd actually probably enjoy it! If Charlie hadn't been leaving, it would've been a good plot. I guess we can just say Phil wouldn't want to sell his pub to Janine.

In regards to the hissy fit, going to be very cringey to watch. Alfie can't do angry.

The Carter Clan must be rather wealthy if they can afford to buy the Vic. Phil will be pretty flush after the sale, for that matter. A place like that in that location must be easily worth £1M. I wonder if he'll be investing elsewhere or just living the life of Riley?

I am guessing Shane was raging in reality too that he was taken out of the Vic.

I love how Alfie cheats on Phil's cousin, then acts as if he has any sort of moral highground in the matter when he gets evicted.

The poor bust, what did it ever do to Alfie.

It's ridiculous. He's a landlord of a pub he doesn't own and just dumped the owners cousin at the altar, who lives with him. Seriously, phil can sell whenever he likes. He's got no obligation to Alfie. And whether he sold it or not, he was going to lose his job. On what planet did he think ther owners cousin was going to move out, give up her job and his ex-wife move in a few days later, happy days?! Phil has no obligation to him and its hardly some top London dollar job. Alfie is an ex crim and cheated on said owners family! It's ridiculous, even if phil didn't sell, that Alfie would think he would carry on as landlord. And even more ridiculous given phil is selling, rather than just asking him. In real life, Alfie wouldn't be able to salvage his job and claim unfair dismissal in this case.

Or maybe its real life imitating fiction. Alfie and Shane both live in la la land. I do wonder what roxy will do now though. Or are ronnie and roxy going to take over the club, jus like they were going to in the beginning.

I do feel sorry for Alfie as Phil probably wouldn't have put the pub on the market IF he hadn't of gone off with Kat instead of Roxy but as people above have said, its Phil's choice to sell the pub whenever he wants.

It'll be strange not seeing the pub involved with the Mitchells, 8-9 years it's been in their mix! Nice to see a change

And Alfie's choice. If roxy had cheated and been in the wrong, with Alfie innocent, then fair enough. But if you cheat, jilt our fiancée who is the cousin of your boss, and you live in said bosses pub with the cousin; who would honestly expect to stay there, cousin move out, move your ex back in and happy days.... At least phil is selling rather than simply turfing them out and roxy staying. He's not obliged to keep the pub forever so Alfie has a job. When you don't own the pub you manage, you always run the risk the owner may sell even without cheating on and running out on the boss's cousin! And honestly, given ronnies presence and the awkwardness that represents plus the additional broken hearted cousin, a manager that has run off and left the pub a few times, what reason would phil have to keep him on? It's not like he's bringing in a fortune and best manager/ landlord ever! And it is best for everyone as this may, Alfie wouldn't have to run into ronnie either. It's the best solution in the long term.

I thought the actor said he would leave if kicked out the Vic. Go on then, I dare you

Haha... A bit like his usual overhype, I'm bigger and better than everyone else comments. Never read so much arrogance and overhype from one actor as Shane. Lacks humility and seems so unbelievably up himself in real life.

comes to something when the Queen Vic bust has had more action in the series than Mo Harris has ever had in 13 years

What happened to that awful coloured bust which Alfie revealed after the fire (Pat Wicks was sitting next to it as he uncovered it) - Phil "made a few changes" one day & the bust was back to bronze, no mention of the other one!
