I do like Alfie and Kat ,but like i said on another thread ,what a Muppet ,if he thought Phil would do zilch and let him move Kat in ,after more or less jilting Roxie at the Alter

Glad Phil is finally selling the Vic though ,so him or the Mitchells can have no further say in what goes on there once the Carters take over

The Vic will be back in Mitchell hands by the 30th anniversary in 2015, I guarantee it.

I'm glad that everyone else's reaction is >.< to Alfie acting with indignation. For a moment the storyline made me question whether it was wrong to cheat on someone, and abandon them at the altar. Kat and Alfie were characters that should have been left off screen; Kat's character hasn't exactly been degraded, but Alfie has gone down several levels.

Seems so, don't think he knows its Shirls brother and she don't know he buys it, so its going to be interesting.

Think he also forgot Roxy is the licensee on the place anyway, not him.

I'm not sure about the logic of this storyline since by selling the Mitchells would lose control of the name above the door.

Is it Shirley's sister who will be moving in her with her bloke to run the Vic? Even if that's correct if they buy the Vic just because they will be running it now doesn't mean they will want to run it in the future.

Conceivably it's quite possible that Alfie could either leave the square or go and sell some more tatt agan on the market and then in a few months take over as landlord again under the new owners.

I would have thought that if the Mitchells wanted to stop Alfie from being able to run the Vic in the future they could just replace him as landlord and by retaining ownership ever prevent him from being in charge again. By selling he could return.

It's Shirley's brother that buys the vic. He will be the owner and landlord.

Classy move, Alfie. Classy. I'm guess he made sure that Amy or Lexi weren't in that living room before hurling the bust through. Plonker.

That bust has been through a lot, hasn't it? Murdering Archie Mitchell, being trapped in the fire, having a makeover after a fire, going back to it's original look and now being hurtled through Phil Mitchell's window.

Newman's original plan was to have it running loose in Dot's house for a hilarious week of comedy episodes named 'BustGate' Love and warmth people, love and warmth...

LOL Alfie sounds like a petulant child but he will be no match for King Philith!

It was stolen by Grant in the Eddie Royle era too & hid in number 43, Ian stole it in around 2007 & hid it at number 45, Nina knocked it off the bar in the late 90s too during Peggy's breast cancer story just so Frank could say the ultimate line (to Barbara Windsor) "It's only a bust"

The original bust was brought for the Vic by rapist Willmott Brown in 1986! Probably one of soap's most iconic props ever!

On what planet did he think ther owners cousin was going to move out, give up her job and his ex-wife move in a few days later, happy days?! Phil has no obligation to him and its hardly some top London dollar job. Alfie is an ex crim and cheated on said owners family! It's ridiculous, even if phil didn't sell, that Alfie would think he would carry on as landlord. And even more ridiculous given phil is selling, rather than just asking him. In real life, Alfie wouldn't be able to salvage his job and claim unfair dismissal in this case.

Or maybe its real life imitating fiction. Alfie and Shane both live in la la land. I do wonder what roxy will do now though. Or are ronnie and roxy going to take over the club, jus like they were going to in the beginning.”

Agree 100% with both comments. He's made his bed by destroying Roxy for a life with Kat (how long before Alfie's crying when she cheats again?) and can't expect kindness from Phil. I'll be cheering the Mitchells on when Alfie gets the boot!

If he had any ounce of compassion in him it'd be him who'd move out to live with Kat and Tommy (or so called 'best mate' Ian) and give up the position himself and let Roxy stay in her home and work (especially given that it's owned by her cousin! he must have known - as lots have said - that Phil would hardly roll over and let it all happen....!!!)

Its a far cry from the 'cheeky chappie' forced upon us back in 2002.

But is that Alfie's reaction, or was it Shane's?
