Wonder how this will pan out, it'd be very predictable for King Phil to win the war, wonder if there's going to be a twist, maybe involving the carters?

Can't wait to see Alfie out the Vic, and interesting that the Carters are officially going to be the owners.

Pictures in the episode on where Ronnie breaks the news looks like a bit of a stand off between Kat and Ronnie, GO KAT!

I like the idea they are selling it, and not leasing it. Really excited for the carters.

It's going to be refreshing not having Phil sticking his nose in any more. It means the Carters must be well heeled.

UGH...Alfie really went out of his way to make his life as difficult as possible but, even so, I can't possibly be team Mitchell. I'm so happy to see that family lose the pub. They've been lording over the Square entirely too long. As for the Vic, it's about time another family came in and took it over completely.

I'm all for team Mitchell. Any man thinking he can jilt his bosses cousin (the sister of the woman who took his 'son') move in is ex wife a few days later and happy days lives in la la land.... Phil is perfectly in is rights to sell the vic!

I find it hard to be in Team Mitchell, as the family are just a load of bullies, and convicts, and the main man, should be in jail about ten times over for stuff he has done over the years.

Phil has been in some much trouble with the police, but never goes down, he has beat people up, caused everybodys life a nightmare. Drug filled skank.

Ronnie, is the evil child snatcher, who shouldnt be allowed anywhere near kids, rather than Janine, having had a restriction order against Michael, anybody with kids, should get one against Ronnie, horrible character, should have been left to rot.

Alfie and Kat are 2 lovely people

What is the future for the bust, does it get repaired, or is it a part of the history going.

Normally I'd always be Team Mitchell, but I cannot STAND Ronnie's smugness, and the pure cheek of the woman that she thinks she has any right to lecture anybody on anything. She is clearly enjoying watching Alfie suffer, after all she has put him through already. Evil, nasty woman.

So, firmly with Kat and Alfie on this one.

Team Mitchell.

Alfie is a complete idiot to think he can go and humiliate Roxy in front of most of the square and then keep the pub, and everything be all la de dah. The Vic has grown complete stale under Alfie and that's primarily because he lacks leadership. It says a lot about EastEnders, when it's main male character is a complete coward who shrieks in the face of adversity. We need strong, colourful male characters - and that's what I'm hoping DTC can do for EE. I don't like Ronnie, but this is more about Phil v Alfie than Ronnie v Alfie. And Kat and Alfie aren't really innocent tbh. Kat's cheated on Alfie god knows how many times, Alfie has messed about two sets of women twice (Kat and Little Mo, and Kat and Roxy) and is an ex-criminal. Plus, both coerced Jean into taking the wrap for Big Mo's crime.

I don't see what ronnie has to do with this myself. This about phils pub, roxy and Alfie. The vic is roxys home and her job....ronnie has no job or hme there. Phil can't be expected to roll back and let, roxy, who is an innocent suffer, lose her jo, her home (which he owns) because of something ronnie did. And, as stated, Alfie has hardly been a model manager, making him lots of money. It is a business. Yes, maybe the reason is because of roxy he sells, but with none of his family living or working there, a family living there who hurt his family and victims to something his cousin did, it hardly makes for a healthy or happy situation. It is easier to cut your losses, move on and buy a new business, which roxy and ronnie could run for him (and I'd trust ronnie to make me more money than Alfie tbh as a business person). Ronnie has a strong business acumen and Alfie is an unambiguous, happy go lucky wheeler dealer. As a business decision, couldn't fault it, even ignoring the unhealthy situation if Alfie remained there.

Say what you like about Ronnie but she saw Alfie would always go back to Kat and just wanted to protect her sister from that.

Phil also has every right to sell the Vic. Its his pub. Roxy is his cousin and Alfie has humiliated her. This is without factoring in just how crap Alfie actually has been as bar manager. The only reason Phil installed Roxy in the pub was because Phil knew Alfie wasn't capable of looking after the place.

Can’t wait for Alfie to be kicked out of the Vic. He must be disillusioned if he thinks Phil would let him stay there after what he does to Roxy. He deserves everything he gets.

It is not like he has done wonders for the business either, packing his bags at the last minute with no thought whatsoever what happens to the pub. I am surprised he has lasted so long there. If it wasn’t for Roxy, Phil would have have shown Alfie the door the minute he left Fatboy in charge.

*I mean the week after the 5th and the 9th.

I love Alfie and Kat ,but what did he expect ,as another poster said ,how on earth did he expect Phil would react after more or less jilting his cousin at the alter and then to think he could just move Kat in and Phil do nothing is just ......

Glad the Carters are actually buying the Pub though ,so that at last Phil or the mitchells have no more say in how it's run etc

bib. Couldn't agree more. It has been long overdue.

As for Alfie? Never liked him, so I'm not bothered about him getting kicked out of the Vic.
