J Lo's tribute to 'Queen of Salsa' at AMA's
This is a performance by Jennifer Lopez at the AMA's this past weekend. She is honouring Celia Cruz a famous latin american singer. The dancers are performing a fantastic cuban salsa routine.
See if you can spot Maksim Chmerkovskiy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elIMkIA51nI |

And here I was thinking this was going to be about La Hardy. She invented Salsa when she won with Ramps, donchaknow.

Weird thing about J Lo. She pays tribute to someone and in doing so somehow it becomes all about her. Not for the first time either she was the same in El Cantante (Hector Lavoe's Story)

I loved Karen and Mark to an insane degree. Normally I am here for the dances and have no interest in the celebrities themselves but that couple got me voting.

Here is Celia with Jlo's ex http://youtu.be/ls-acEWGnzw OK OK OK on reflection watching and listening to this maybe not. But JLo is very easy on the eye. And here is Whatisname with Gloria Estefan singing Quimbara. Gloria is superb singing in Spanish but I can't stand stand her English songs. http://youtu.be/g39Hx2MaSNE OK another cold shower .. ![]() Here is Celia Cruz in her prime in 1974 singing Quimbara. Amazing voice .. http://youtu.be/AXN-_asIaYs |

Wow! JLo is a goddess.
Thanks so much.Cold shower time ...Yes. Me too. One of the very few times I have voted was for them and Ramps is one of the few celebs I have / had heard of before let alone met. JLo is a goddess and can do what she wants as far as I am concerned. Shockingly I'd rather watch JLo singing Celia Cruz than Celia herself. I also prefer JLo's voice to Celia's. JLo is like one of those force fields that confuse GPSs. ![]() This is my favourite Ibrahim Ferrer - Bruca Maniguá - though it is an old song. http://youtu.be/YFiQnWPUuAY |

It seems to me that since the 1960's (Twiggy, The Shrimp et al) we have allowed the standard for female beauty to be defined by the fashion industry which is dominated by men. But men who seemingly have a preference for men not women (my theory on why the slender straight up and down shape became the gold standard for fashion design is that gay men proliferated through the industry. Nothing wrong with that except the idea of beauty is likely to be a boyish form not a set of womanly curves) JLo and Beyoncé have made the bottom fashionable again, and as I have a fine full bottom, for that I would have them both canonised. |

Interestingly few hetero males are attracted to skinny women. It is women who find skinny women attractive. That said I have come across a few very attractive skinny women and don't notice that they are skinny. It is the hips that don't lie - as somebody once said. http://youtu.be/YcRvr5NzAKY OK purely in the interests of scientific research I found another one http://youtu.be/0yxF6POkty8 And from last year Kimberley Walsh has a nice bottom which I discovered half way through the series. But despite that her FFB she just can´t sing. http://youtu.be/MaXMj-Y4UWk |
