It's been on for 3 years. I'm not taking it off now.

I recently sold my 5 year old car, only to discover the plastic film was still on the Peugeot logo on the key-fob !

I think it would annoy me almost as much as a DOG.

Just noticed for the past couple of days, BBC One Freeview is now naming the region, in my case, it's BBC ONE NWest when I change channels, and also on the Freeview EPG.

I'm on a local Freeview "Light" transmitter, fed from Winter Hill.

It happened at 12 noon on Tuesday. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1914079

Thanks for the link.

My Freeview SD TV's and my HD PVR's for BBC ONE SD all show the change.

Obviously BBC ONE HD remains as BBC ONE HD

COM7 is only on a few main transmitters at the moment and is being rolled out between now and early next year. Even then relays will not get it. COMs 7 and 8 are usually lower power than the rest from the same tower so there may be distance issues involved. For some the new frequencies will be "out of group" for their aerial so will be lower strength. You need to check your locality.

On the other hand everybody should be able to receive BBC Three HD on LCN 105 and CBBC HD on LCN 73. Currently these two channels are only showing a "placeholder" with the BBC logo and "Coming soon, new HD channels from the BBC" and listing those two. These replace the HD red button service on the existing mux so you should be seeing them if you get the others.

COM 7 from Crystal Palace has similar placeholders but listing all five new BBC HD channels - those two plus LCNs 106, 107 and 74 for BBC Four HD, BBC News HD and CBeebies HD respectively. This is to avoid those accessing only relay transmitters assuming their set is faulty. Al Jazeera English HD has already started its service on 108.

Your YouView box should already have added BBC Three HD and CBBC HD. It will also detect the new mux as soon as (if) it is turned on at your transmitter. This is most likely to happen during its overnight housekeeping. You MUST keep a YouView box plugged into the mains, on a high eco saving if necessary, all the time. Ignore the old wives' tales about unplugging overnight and use a surge protected mains plug or adapter if you are worried about storms etc.

Both Freeview HD and YouView receive the same transmissions, the difference is in the technical details of the boxes, most notably the protocol they use to access the catchup and other internet delivered services (which is why you cannot access the internet channels on LCN225 up)

For others: As well as the caveats about COM7 I list, I gather the different clones of the Vestel T8300 are having problems receiving it. It was marketed under at least 13 badges but if you have a single tuner box with three small buttons on the left of the front panel and a channel number display (may be red or green), its a Vestel.

We've had a minor rename here in Granadaland this morning.
At 10:45 - "BBC ONE NWest" has become "BBC ONE N West" - note the extra space before the W.

Also, briefly (just for the one check only at 10:45) "bid" was missing from the SDN LCN table and the SDT.

The 10:55 check found both changes reverted - so back to NWest and "bid" reinstated. Next change was 11:15 - just the "N West" name change now, "bid" has survived.
