BBC1/2 (and the rest of the channels on that mux) switch automatically between 1080i and p. I presume the new mux will be set up the same way, however the captions and trailers at present are likely to lend themselves better to 1080p, so it may be "stuck" in that state for now.

Note this is 1080p25 not 1080p50 (the "real" 1080p).

Well, that's not allowed Anyway, I just checked and the captions are all showing as 1080i here.

Well BBC News HD has already started...and gone again. I was flicking through the new HD channels around 2340 and caught sportsday in HD for about two minutes before abruptly cutting back to the "Starts tomorrow" loop. Don't know how long it had been showing, they may as well have just left it.

According to digital.co.uk's Coverage Checker, yes, your transmitter will have the other channels mentioned in Alix Pryde's latest post and LCN 108 next year.

I presume this also applies to the Waltham TX.

Yes, DBC, guessing at say LE14 4PS for your set-up.

See also Red Button Digital Text 998.

Any othes wondering about their transmitter, please go to www.digitaluk.co.uk and use the detailed view in Coverage Checker and see also http://www.a516digital.com/2013/11/r...-channels.html

I thank you

I missed the start of BBC News HD as it was a few minutes before 0830, because I forgot that they cut from BBC Breakfast at the point where the local news starts, just before 0830. Did anything special happen? They mentioned that it had just happened and showed a screenshot of the BBC website with the details on (in Google Chrome!)

Not really. The static message cut to the newsroom balcony sweep at 08:27 as we joined Simon McCoy. He welcomed us to BBC News as normal, and gave a 'special welcome' to those watching on BBC News HD.

You can still watch it for ~50 mins on iPlayer rewind.

HD boxes should add Three and Cbbc automatically. Four, News and Cbeebies will probably need a rescan to include the new multiplex when it arrives.

All up and running from Divis. Interestingly, they changed CBeebies MHEG caption last night but the one for BBC THREE HD still says "new service launching soon" instead of the usual holding screen for BBC THREE. They'll probably change it after today.

Indeed. COM7 isn't due for Tacolneston until sometime in 2014 (yet to be announced).

Only got CBBC HD, and BBC3 HD added here on Freeview in the Nth East (Tyne Tees).

Got them all on Freesat.

EDIT: Just read the above, the others are coming next year for Freeview

Freeview HD boxes discover all com 7 channels automatically as well.
It is one of the benefits of the box /TV ..... Like connected TV MHEG IC
Which is (sadly) not publicised ..as it makes viewing easier!

Some may do. Some definitely do not.

Mine didn't but I've set my tv to "annoying messages = off". My youview PVR doesn't have such an option but still didn't do anything automatically.

No problem with all the channels from CP here. Where are you? Did you get Al Jazeera when it started a few weeks ago?

I am in North London so could be wrong about the transmitter. It might be crystal palace. I did the checker but I really didn't understand it. No I never got Al Jazeera.

Try a Hard Reboot: Factory reset and /or autotune without the RF Cable in - switch everything off first- and then give the set-up 10 minutes off completely before switching on and doing a first time install.

If still no joy, contact digital.co.uk and/or the manufacturer.
