Dear Jack

Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding Sunset Beach.

We have been very open from the start that we would keep an eye on the popularity of Sunset Beach when it returned to the channel and review its performance after four months.

Unfortunately, the re-runs have not proved to be very popular and, consequently, we have decided to remove them from the schedule. At this time we have no plans to screen it in an alternative slot. We are sorry for the disappointment that this may have caused but do hope that you will enjoy the TV dramas that will replace the programme.

Thank you for your interest in Five.

Well I'll be keeping an eye on the popularity of the TV dramas they replace it with.

Why cant they see that the viewers fell from 250,000 to 100,000 because the storyline is crap at the moment...

it is a shame they haven't the faith to stick with it. The best is yet to come!

and they NEVER advertised it. If they did when Terror Island started the viewing figures would rocket!

It makes you wonder if they've read the e-mails that we sent or just sent out the standard reply.

I've not had a reply yet to my two emails but no doubt will be the same...

This is really depressing. Was looking forward to the Terror island storyline as heard a lot about it but never seen it.

I'm so angry with FIVE.

I know, me too.

I did see it last time from Terror Island but it was a really bad picture until we got a new aerial.

I was looking forward to seeing it clearly this time!

Same with me, i never saw the Terror Island storyline from but when i did start taping it later on, some of it is really bad quality because of the bad picture and i was looking forward to taping it from a decent quality.

I've just read on another forum that '5' only ever bought 115 episodes.

The 115th is on Friday.

That means that they can't justify buying more.

If anyone wants the other forum address, PM me.

Thats not true though as they quite clearly stated that they had bought the rights to 260 episodes.
They said in the email they sent me they would review it after 4 months, so they are taking it off due to "low ratings" yet they still have the rights to show another 145 episodes!

You're probably right, I just read it on another forum.

Either that or they are telling untruths!

Yes. I have them on DVD but getting them all on 15 tapes seems impossible!
How long are the tapes you are using?
