Dance/Music Choice
Watching ITT last week, Ola said that she had to make the best that she was given. What I understood from this is that the SCD producers instruct the pros on what style and music they should based their routines on. Is this true and if so how long has this been going on for?

I have no idea how long its been going on for but I suspect it happens a lot more than we're aware of. It only seems to come to the viewers' attention when one of the pros mention it either because they've been unfairly criticised by the judges for something that wasn't their idea (as in the case of Ola and the cowboy paso) or the pro really hated the idea and didn't want to be associated with it (like Brendan being keen to insist that the flying bicycle in Victoria's paso was nothing to do with him and I'm pretty sure Pasha wasn't happy about the song choice for Kimberley's paso).

It's time the dancers realised, they're now in a naffin' pantomime with a dance element.
Nothing will change whilst the ratings are this good, in fact expect it to get worse. |
