Its funny with saving Mr Banks coming out on Friday I really cant wait to see the film.
But its sad some people feel embarrassed saying they like Mary Poppins. I love the film theres something very special about that film and lots of meaning to it.
Its one off those films where the actors did the film cause they wanted to do it and they enjoyed it. Wasn't about the money.
Everytime im really ill Mary Poppins is the first film I watch it always cheers me up and makes me feel better.

P.S Feed the birds is one of those songs you just feel really emotional about.

I have fond memories of watching Mary Poppins a lot when I was younger. I actually watched it a few months back for the first time in years and it's still a great film. The sets, the songs, the acting, the singing, the choreography, etc. are all perfect. Feed the Birds is by far the best song from a Disney film.

m.p. is a fine film. what wrecks it a bit is romanticising chimney sweeps. a lot were boys who died quite young of lung and skin cancer ......

I absolutely adore this movie. I am often teased for it, but I don't care, I just love it! The soundtrack is one of Disney's strongest, the acting is very good all round and just the general feel of innocence in the film, I guess. I didn't like it as a kid, but now I can appreciate it for what it really is, which isn't the story of two kids and their nanny but rather the story of a man who learns how important it is to make time for his family. Anyway, this is one film I never get tired of and it always makes me happy!

Also I would say A Spoonful Of Sugar is the best song in this film But obviously that's just my own opinion.

I go through periods of two thoughts about the lady selling bread for the birds. Sometimes I think poor woman only 2p a bag she can't make much, but then I think well if it is only a slice per bag back in them days a loaf couldn't have cost that much so maybe she made a tidy sum then I have the third thought of this isn't real and I need to get out more

I don't know anybody who is embarrassed about saying they love Mary Poppins.

Watching 'Saving Mr. Banks' has given me a new love for the film.

'Feed The Birds' gets me every time.

And the fourth thought is, why isn't she covered in bird poo?

Most certainly agree with this.

I still remember going into my local flea pit as a kid on a Saturday morning and staying watching it on repeat until very late just totally lost in the movie (got a serious battering when I got home though )
