Mickey was going to do something with it - I remember Rosie Miller (Gerry Cowper) saying so in the Bridge street caf in EastEnders.

Only joking, but I was worried about where people having breakdowns/crying/hiding/heart to hearts would sit from now on.

Barry's tree never gets a mention does it ? I know Nat and Co have left, but Pat's still around and he had plenty of friends there, so it would be nice if that got the same treatment as the bench.

Natalie and Jack (along with Pat, Paul and a few others I think) had a little memorial in the Square and planted a tree/bush (some sort of foliage anyway!) in his honour.Did they put his ashes there too ? |

Barry was not as important as Arthur though, so nobody really cared, Arthur's memory will forever live on - I miss him & Ethel most of all characters...

And what about Debbie's bush?
When Debbie was run over, Nigel and Clare planted a bush in the gardens for her! |

I've heard Arthur's bench was gonna become a gangster and do away with the Moons.
Arthur's Bench has been very under used, much like Tracy in the the Vic, but that time it caught on fire was great acting, it deserved a BAFTA, but benches always get overlooked by the BAFTA team. Corrie has started to introduce those metal benches used in bus stops, not have as good as a wooden bench. |

LOL - The bench is a better actress than Deborah Dingle in Emmerdale.

If gary dies perhaps they could shape some privet in the shape of one of his garage tools. It would be known in EE as gary's wrench
