was this the shortest ever marriage in Eastenders?! technically Afile & Roxy are still married but it was pretty much ended after a few minutes!

Like I said in the episode thread, even Ian and Mel managed until the reception before she walked out on him.

They won't need a divorce. They will get it annulled. They didn't consummate the marriage so legally it doesn't have the same validity as a marriage.

Like Ian and Mel's, Peggy and Archie's marriage only lasted until the reception. Alfie and Roxy have trumped them both though with today's fiasco.

I don't get that, obviously in fictional terms they've slept together in the months before the marriage, so its only after they're married if they haven't had sex it isn't valid?

Does that marriage even count? She was pretending to be called Judith Bernstein when she married him.

Presumably they will get an annulment, so legally the marriage never happened.

The marriage ended before the ink on the certificate had dried
