because I cannot quite get into it. I don't know what it is, the depressing theme tune or the fact that it isn't my cup of tea. Any suggestions? Although some posters have mentioned that it isn't doing well recently...

I'm a Corrie fan but I wouldn't advise anyone to start watching it at this point in time. The writing is going downhill because it's more like the Tina McIntyre Show. Ask anyone.

I'd start with Eastenders, after that Corrie will be a breath of fresh air

Last night I watched a moth flapping round my shed light.
It was miles better than watching Corrie .

Even at it's worst, it is still better that EastEnders at it's best.

Corrie hasn't got that much going on at the moment and for that reason it's probably the best time to start watching. This way you won't be jumping in the middle of storylines.

Buy yourself a photograph of Michelle Keegan off eBay & stare at it for half an hour each night.

That's exactly the same as watching Corrie right now, but without the theme tune that depresses you.

Hey ho, problem solved.

(don't thank me, it's what I do )

Coronation Street is the best soap because you can sing the title to the theme tune with few problems. The others are trickier (although not impossible).

The best soap for singing alone with was Home and Away

I don't know if it's changed , but it went a little something like this -

You know we belong together ,
You and I forever and ever ,
no matter where you are ,
you my guiding star

And from the very first moment i saw you ♫
I never felt such emotion ,
I'm walking in on air ,

Just to know ( just to know )

You are there ♪

I'm the same as you, the only difference is i don't want to get into it

I hate it, i think it's just about a bunch of whiny gossips bitching all time.

That doesn't count because it already has words. The test is singing the title to the tune.

I watch EastEnders and Hollyoaks but fancied watching Corrie a few times. The many attempts have failed because it is just so hard to just watch it. I'm guessing its because I grew up watching EE and HO.

Don't even try watching it, don't put yourself through it, it'll take everything you care about dearly and crush it to a fine powder

I was an avid watcher of both, but stopped watching EE when it was that awful baby swap story line.

Even if I am tearing my hair out at Corrie if it hits a lull...its still way better than EE has been for the past few years.
