The Queen Vic bust - when was the gold one bought back?

When the Queen Vic was revamped, a new bust of Victoria was introduced, but as the spoliers show it's the golden bust that Alfie throws through the window.

Was it ever acknowledged that the old bust got ditched? I always thought it looked ridiculous anyway!

Interesting bit of trivia...the man who first brought the bust into the Queen Vic was none other than area manager and future rapist James Wilmott-Brown.

That is a cool fact, I love a bit of trivia.

I'd just assumed the pub had always had a bust.

Wouldn't blame for thinking that, but it was in the middle of 86 when JWB brought it in to inject a bit of class into the place...little did he know that it would be an icon.

Got another one for you - who first brought the portacabin to the square?
