Not the literal time, I mean as in, do they ACTUALLY sell tickets when the plane is boarding?

Possibly when boarding...but certainly not when the gate is CLOSED as was the case.

And it takes a good while to get through airport security, but they seemed to part the way for him.

Also Bianca, with kids mouths to feed blithely handing over her takings to Alfie on a now wasted ticket - great mothering.

Yeah that saeemed really unrealistic. Granted he had no luggage but are we to expect that a busy airport like Southend had no other passengers waiting to get through security?

He should have just gone to Ibiza and talked it over with Kat calmly and rationally...and then stayed out there.

Also, lets say that he done his crying "I need to stop my ex-wife" act to everyone along the way, he got the following people fired

A Pizza Delivery Man
The person who sold him the Ticket
The security people who let him through without checking him (after skipping the line)
The gate staff who let him go through
Probably the air hostess for not acting faster

Couple that with destroying Roxy (and by extension Amy's) world, you have to ask, was it all worth it Alfie just to get with someone who will probably cheat on you within three months?

Also something else that bugs me - Alfie intended to use the Moped to get past the police block, but surely they would have stopped him? Also, when he threw the helmet (like Niko in GTA IV), he could have hit someone and hurt them bad

I thought the same thing about the crash helmet the way he threw it could have hit anyone. Also he must have had his passport on him to be able to get a ticket.

Roxy mentioned some time last week that he needed to remember his passport for their honeymoon. Don't know why he'd have take the passport to the wedding though, being as it looked like they were going to have a do in the Vic before leaving

You generally have to be there at least an hour if not two before boarding. At the time the place was boarding they would have long stopped selling tickets.

The whole thing was really farfetched but i dont know what happening to me...i liked it :P

It was totally dumb but it still kinda worked for me :P

What I would like to know is who Amy was left with? I mean Roxy, Phil and Ronnie left the church and Amy was just forgotten? I guess Aunt Sal had her but could have shown her or something.

Also hate 'suddenly its night' in soap land. Yes its winter and gets dark early but looked like wedding was at 11 or something and then its night! lol

This episode was a catalogue of comedy from the start. The scenes at Southend Airport were embarrasing for anyone who works in the airline industry and someone needs their arses kicking for letting trash like this go out as part of the episode.

Yes, I know it's not real life but let's try and make things as accurate as possible.

Anyone else noticed what a **** Alfie looks like when he runs?

Completely agree, it gives out totally the wrong message. As someone said on another thread, anyone caught banging on a plane door would either be tazered or shot as a potential terrorist.

Just when he runs?

What would have been great was Alfie hammering on the door, then holding onto the plane, only to find it was slowly moving away with him on it, as it speeded up have Alfie desperately hammering on the cockpit windscreen, then slowly sliding down the window sideways by his face, then vanishing from sight ...

Cut to Alfie hanging onto the planes nose and shouting "I love you Kat Moon" as he loses his grip and is squashed under the planes wheels.

Not family viewing I grant you, but I'd watch it

I have bought late tickets with no carry on luggage but that was still stretching it .. Even so, she was only going to Ibiza, not the moon. He could have got the next flight, or how about this, sent a text saying he loved her and could they talk.

I like Kat and Alfie (and please, let them be a normal couple now) but this was unnecessarily OTT.

The gate staff can communicate with the plane staff by phone, can't they? So they'd say there was a passenger coming through (as if)?

I flew standby once, got First Class as there was a no-show, but turfed out of my seat at the very last minute (seat belt done up and ready for take off) as the passenger turned up, and delayed the flight. But then, he was a First Class passenger, so either paid a high fare or was a VIP or airline exec of some sort.

Had the door been sealed up? I'm sure there's a rule about that.

That wouldn't surprise me with her, probably the only part of that last 15 mins or so that I found believable! She's completely irresponsible, a bloody numpty and crap mother in real terms. Repeatedly saying "I love my kids!" does not a good mother make, takes a bit more than just saying it.

Also, lets say that he done his crying "I need to stop my ex-wife" act to everyone along the way, he got the following people fired

Great post.

One or two suspensions of reality you can live with but the catalogue of errors listed above just takes the biscuit.

Exactly. It doesn't honestly bother me if Alfie and Kat get back together (the pair of them kind of deserve each other IMO) but even if I was a huge fan of theirs I'd still be annoyed that they got them back together in such a stupid, OTT and completely devoid of reality way. I couldn't have enjoyed that, it's not a daft rom-com or chick flick movie where you know what to expect and go with the flow, this is a soap which once upon a time used to pride itself on being realistic. Sad to see how low it's fallen in this regard.

I mean, chasing someone about to board a flight, how sodding CLICHE does it get. What goes through the minds of these MUG writers.

It was extremely fer fetched but I don't really care, I am just glad Kat and Alfie are are back together again and that whole saga is over.

I thought Shane Ritchies acting was very hammy as well but it's never brilliant.

The writers are surely running out of ideas for Kat and Alfie to get back together by now. Hopefully this is it though, the square needs a stable couple.

The ticket sale is an irrelevance, all airlines have the same regulations...........

If you arrive at the boarding gate after the gate has closed, you will not be able to board the flight.

I wonder how much time and money was wasted having the scenes shot on that plane.

They stopped just short of having the entire plane applaud them. Thank god.
