Nice early thread, as I've actually been given an office today with a view of Loughborough welcome along, and make yourself comfortable. We need each other more than ever in these dark days on the Cobbles........

Don't forget our Midweek Poll - rate this episode out of 10 after it has aired and FEEL the democracy raging through the internet. Last Wednesday's episode, which was very child-heavy, scored a reproachable 5.375 out of 10 on mean average.

Toodle pip.

Hooray! Thanks for the early thread, Aggie. Title sounds rather painful.

Talking of Loughborough, did you know that Loughborough's John Taylor Bell Foundry of Freehold Street in Loughborough is the largest in the world and is responsible for making the country’s biggest bell - the Great Paul which weighs 17 tonnes - which rings out from St Paul’s in London? Thought not.

Yaaaay! Fayemien finally gets beaten up by the Feds and put in 'the hole' for the foreseeable. (I can dream can't I)?

"Caught by the fuzz" - I thought Danny Baldwin was back for a moment then.

Thanks for the nice, early thread. More Tina & Peter tonight I see but thankfully this Faye/dis-Grace storyline must be nearing it's conclusion when they both get sent to the electric chair for what they did to Simon.

Thanks for those great clips. Max Wall

Exactly. It will all be worthwhile then - especially if it's live on screen.

(On second thoughts, could it be the guillotine please? I have a bobble hat I need to finish knitting).

The 1998 episode has Joanne Froggat in it but I can't recall who the other blonde in the first scene was, the one that gets out the back of the car and chats to Betty.

Isn't it nice that it's still going and making a profit nearly 500 years after its inception?

You could say that business is....

Hmm, I know her face but can't place her. (She looks quite a bit like young Suzy Birchall although obviously it's not).

The end of November will soon be here so it’s time to start thinking about your team for December’s Corrie Challenge.

Don’t worry if you have played before. The game is a bit like a simplified version of Fantasy Football so if you fancy having a go just read the rules below. And, if you're an Emmerdale viewer you can play the Emmerdale version of the game. Just check out any of this week's "Emmerdaily" thread for instructions.

Anyway, it’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game.

Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning.

Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday Episode Thread to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates.

The scoring system works as follows:-

+ 1 point per episode appearance

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode.

+ 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point.

+ 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 5 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday.

+ Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!!

Once you’ve done all that you can also pick a name for your team. This will be listed in the Score Updates.

Your “Starting List” for November’s Corrie Challenge is as follows:-

Remember you need to select ELEVEN characters (including a captain) – no more, no less.

The Rovers

Steve
Liz
Michelle

The Barlows

Deirdre
