Just wondering, are the extra TV channels available on TalkTalk (eg Sky1, Gold, Sky Sports News) live, or are they on-demand?

BT says they are OD, but can Sky Sports News really be OD?? Or is this BT deterring me from leaving?!

They are live channels but at the moment you cannot record them

There all live channels, sounds like BT are trying to put you off.

As a former TT Tv subscriber i can assure you the channels are live and a update is coming soon to allow you to record them too.

I'm so glad of this guys, thanks! Also, would you know if a youview box upstairs as well would be able to show these channels, or is the extra channels package only for 1 box per household?

As far as i'm aware TT or BT do not do multiroom.

TalkTalk do not support multiroom, but do not disallow it outright and it is possible if your broadband is fast enough.

So, effectively multiroom for free although of course you will have to buy the second box yourself, Talktalk won't provide a second one as part of the service.

Just as I thought! Thinking about trying a Humax retail box as the secondary, see if TalkTalk would let me have the channels on there.
