Who is the BEST live singer/s
as counterpart to the other thread, who do you think is the best LIVE SINGER, anyone, may be a female, male, band, boyband artist..
the best in terms that the live version of the song that particular artist sings is clear and ALMOST THE SAME AS THE STUDIO VERSION.. my answer: beyonce - total performer no doubt jason mraz - amazing westlife - highly commended |

Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco - He sounds even better live than he does recorded in the studio, and considering the fantastic amount of energy he brings to a live show, that's a brilliant talent.

i'm sure rene fleming could easily outsing anyone mentioned so far, and i could real of a list of dozens more who could do too. the best opera singers will beat the pants of any rock and pop singer hands down.
if it comes to rock/pop type stuff then prince is one of the technically best live singers (as well as musicians) who can sound exactly the same on stage as in the studio. he is a natural singer although had some vocal training to help with voice control during live performances as he wanted to use the stage more and dance and run around, and he is one of the very few who can do some of the most energetic movements and immediately after return to the mic and sing a ballad without sounding out of breathe, no "shouty" vocals, no memorex, like some of his peers. he also has one of the widest vocal ranges in pop music. i've also heard him sing live in person without a mic, his vocal delivery is incredible |

Am I the only one that thinks Lady Gaga is awful live?
She speaks to the audience ALOT which isn't what I paid £60 to see. She doesn't sing the hits the way they should lol And she tries to hard to hit the notes you lot speak of. Male Bruno Mars Female Beyonce |

No way. A good few years ago maybe, but definitely not anymore. She's not terrible now, but she's nowhere near as good live as she sued to be and there are other singers like Beyonce who are better than her live. There's nothign really wrong with that though. As you get older, your voice sort of stabilises or deteriorate. She's still very good, just way past her best.

Leona Lewis because her live versions are often better than the studio version. Whitney and Mariah were obviously better in their primes, but at the moment it's Leona.
