Samsung switching itself off
Model : LE40C650L1K
Every now and then it will switch off then on again, It's still got 2 yrs left on the guarantee It's been looked at once, a new board was fitted, but still happens. I phoned them about it and it was suggested I leave it with them. But it may happen 2 or 3 times in a week or might not happen for a few weeks, It may be with them for months!!!! Anyone have an idea? |

This is a known fault and one of the likely possible causes is duff, cheap capacitors (see all this lot here https://www.google.co.uk/#q=samsung+...ing+itself+off).
If it were me, I'd insist that they repair it and supply a temporary replacement (if one is not available at home). Samsung should know better than to fit rubbish components in their TVs. |

I have the 46" variant of the TV. Got sent back to Currys 3 times for the same fault. In the end they gave up and gave me a credit towards a new set, allowing me to keep the old one. Managed to change the PSU capacitors for decent ones and now it makes a good bedroom set!
