I am in the same direction and only a mile or so nearer to CP than kasg, but in a poorer location and I am also getting a good signal from Ch 29.

For some unknown reason, as well as receiving the local mux correctly again, my Technika box has created duplicates of the 3 channels on 800-802, in addition to the versions on 8, 64 and 791.

As I reported in the other thread, LCN 8 (Mustard TV) has been added at Tacolneston this morning - it's a blank screen at present but we may get some test transmissions from Mustard later or during the coming few days. They are due to launch next Monday.

Further news, a caption promoting Mustard is now being transmitted.

Further to that we have the added deep joy of keeping LCN 46 on Mux 57 and the wonders of the Beverley Hillbillies, The Lucy Show, The Lone Ranger. Bonanza, Flash Gordon and Dragnet. Archant on Channel 8 will have to work hard to match gems like that with their Mustard TV

Interestingly tonight, Brierley Hill are transmitting the colour bars with no "COMUX LOCAL TV TEST" caption on it?

And Crystal Palace - no doubt nationwide.

In the service name table from Winter Hill, a name has just changed:
Quote:
“< Service_name: "Local TV Test1" -- Charset: Latin alphabet
> Service_name: "POP" -- Charset: Latin alphabet”

WH isn't yet broadcasting the local muxes (they are still rigging on the mast) - and we don't get any LCN data, only the SDT has them listed so far. Any of you who can receive your version of the local mux may find that POP has replaced Local TV Test1 - and possibly an LCN change too. Since I can't confirm this I won't post to the changelog.

So BonanzaBonanza must be a figment of my imagination then!

To pad out copierman's post

793 (Belmont Only) morphed into Estuary TV for Grimsby
792 which was originally titled "Local TV Test 2" morphed into BonanzaBonanza which launched on LCN 64 on Feb 10 (and is a holding channel)
791 which was originally titled "Local TV Test 1" morphed into POP this morning on LCN75.

LCN 8 is also broadcasting test transmissions from Tacelston for Mustard TV (Norwich) and from Crystal Palace for London Live (in, erm, London). I believe these popped up on LCN without a holding channel.

Notts TV is due to pop up soon for a 29th April launch from Nottingham and Waltham (wonder if that will coincide with COM 7 going live from Waltham next week)?

"The first additional video stream"

I think he means it is a stream in addition to that which will morph into the actual local tv stream. POP will generate revenue to fund the local stream that is currently filled with B2.

So if local test 1 on 791 is POP, what happened to ABC Shopping then?

It must be quite a challenge setting up the Winter Hill local multiplexes - 3 petals all on the same frequency.

Does anyone know what the situation is with Pontop Pike as when I checked this evening we have BonanzaBonanza as we have for a few weeks now, as well as Pop but a retune has not showed up our local channel for Tyne and Wear.

Does this mean we are not going to receive our locall channel or if not when should we see it appear again?.
