They looked all right 60-years ago on our 405-line tv.

Suprised there are 6 pairs, would they all be powered at the same time?

Yes all 12 antennas are powered - most probably from a single feeder via splitters, to keep costs down. The design is an array to provide more gain and directivity: they require a carefully made cable harness from the power splitter(s) to antennas whose lengths are precisely the same. The aerials are also accurately spaced apart so the RF signals interact appropriately.

It's old material and what you see may be as good as is available for free. It could certainly do with a bit of (gentle) temporal noise reduction to prevent it looking like watching an analogue channel with less than ideal reception. The same noise reduction before transmission would probably help it fit in better in the available 2.5Mbps video stream it is using.

Could anyone point me to maps of the expected reception areas for Glasgow TV and Edinburgh TV. I've looked in all the obvious websites, but so far without success.

Done a rescan — nothing there.

Are you in the predicted coverage area ?

I'm not getting anything either. I have tried four boxes - three different models - and there is nothing there. However my Humax PVR still shows a strong signal on the frequency as it has been doing since December, and my two Technika boxes are now detecting QPSK as the mode of transmission. But there is still nothing to lock on to.

Thanks for those maps - I'm surprised how well I'm picking up the Nottingham tests from Waltham here on the western edge of Leicester..

I still cannot receive anything on test from Tacolneston despite being well within the predicted reception area but it has been confirmed in the local paper this morning that Mustard TV commences broadcasting on Freeview Channel 8, on March 24th at 5,30 pm

i'm in the same position. I've been checking all day today - nothing.

Whatever they were up to on Friday didn't last very long.

I note that the digitaluk predictor in detailed view gives a retune event of 10th Feb for my old London area postcode (and also for the Birmingham BBC Mailbox postcode). It also gives two retune events for Tacolneston with just '2014' for the COM7 and L-NOR frequencies (using the BBC Forum studios postcode)... with the COM 7 retune happening before L-NOR.

So although some odd testing may happen before the 'official tests' seem to appear as a retune event on that predictor? As London TV / Brum City TV have yet to launch officially.

I doubt I'll get even the faintest sniff of Mustard from here, sadly. Certainly zip on the predictions I have.

Wasn't the 10th Feb date when BonanzaBonanza became available on CP. you could say that was the Mux launch date even though London Live doesn't start until the end of March.

It's on now! Tacolneston now has Bonanza Bonanza on 64 and colour bars on 791.

It might go off again but it's there at the moment.

It's gone again.

I tuned in all three sets - the two running on set top aerials were both reporting 28% strength and 95% quality. Main loft aerial around 74% strength and 100% quality.

Edit - back now. They are obviously still very much in test mode.

Yes Bonanza Bonanza is on Ch 57. I spoke to Mustard TV this morning and they told me test transmissions wouldn't start until March 17th.

They were probably talking about their own tests rather than the mux itself.

It keeps going off briefly so they are obviously still playing with it.

Yes you are right. I've got two channels at the moment, Bonanza Bonanza and "local TV test" on 791. Great to finally have something since this was planned for late January according to some websites. Will Tacolnestons relays be transmitting this as well. I noticed the power is considerably lower than the main muxes.
